continuing with my drabbles of angsty walruss, I feel that before Logan was captured, even though Keegan was crazy and head over heals for Logan, he probably didn't show it as much, even sabotaging their "relationship" by pushing Logan away from him, deeming himself "not being good enough for Logan" or that he "didn't deserve him". Because of this, maybe Keegan would be more vulnerable behind closed doors, but outside? he would act like he didn't even know the guy, like he didn't just tell him how much he loved him, while holding him and caressing his fingers along his spine.
This obviously pissed off Logan because Keegan was giving him mixed signals, some times he would be so loving and cering, but the next moment he could be so cold and distant, so Logan started (or tried to) keep his distance as well, utterly falling everytime Keegan would give him an ounce of that love and care he craved so much.
When Logan is captured, Keegan realizes how fucked up he was towards him, missing him and hating himself for not valuing the moments he had with him, taking the fact that Logan would always come back, always would be there for him, for granted.
So when Logan comes back, and is still on process of getting all he's memories back, even though he doesn't remember fully how Keegan treated him, he does notice how he changed completely, being more outwardly loving towards him, and this obviously throws him off, because even though he can maybe remember a few good moments with Keegan, he does remember how bad it was at times, only fragments, like every other memory, but he can recall Keegan never being this loud, clear and obvious about liking Logan. Reaching for his hand while they were walking side by side, him looking at Keegan and finding him already looking at him like he hanged the stars, it almost seamed like he had hearts on his eyes when he looked at him.
So Logan just starts to think that this is Keegan showing pitty for Logan, not that he actually loves him, Keegan would never show it, not the Keegan he barely remembered, so it had to be because he felt sorry for him, like he was some porcelain doll that could break at any moment, some sort of charity case. And with this thought in mind, Logan starts to distance himself, he doesn't want anyone's pitty, less if its Keegan. He maybe even starts hating Keegan, because even though he craves for this love and care that he is giving him, he doesn't want it if it's just for pitty, and then the moment he starts to get better Keegan is just going to start with his mixed signals all over again. He wasn't a damn charity case.
When Keegan realizes, he confronts Logan, and they fight because Logan knows he doesn't actually love him, he never did, he can still remember that fact, and that this sudden change had to be because he pittied him, it wasn't coming from a place of real love, he was only being like this because he felt sorry for the poor kid that had been tortured and used as a weapon and didn't remember anything, not even his brother.
