Cutie Vespula vidua worker lapping up sugar water from my finger.
Looks like I forgot to upload on Wednesday so here's the pic I drew to commemorate Strive's (then) upcoming launch This blog needed more shitpost energy anyway
Need a little sweetness in your day? 💗 Hummingbird!
if a bee is not moving or seems to not be able to fly, it is probably just tired and needs some energy!▫️▫️▫️help out any tired bee friends by giving them a little spoon of sugar water ! 💧🐝💧
(mix a small amount of sugar or syrup with some water)▫️▫️▫️
Hummingbird feeders. Not just popular with hummingbirds and ants. . . . bees want the sweetness the remnants of sugar juice stuck to their bodies . #haikuh #poetry #poet #bees #hummingbirdfeeder #sugarwater #nectar #nature #urbangarden #naturefindsaway #endingofseasons #simpleneeds #simpledesires #video https://www.instagram.com/p/B3e4ZD9hd95/?igshid=19hf0lhw9sz1
💙💜❤️ Thank you to everyone who has sent good thoughts and get well wishes. I’ve been feeling a lot better, though still not feeling quite myself. 💙💜❤️ I’m also happy to report that I still have a couple of my #AnnasHummingbird friends in my #backyard keeping me company, though all the other #hummingbirds have moved on (Note: I took this video awhile back, during #SpringMigration). 🌼💚💖💚🌼 This sweet sugar baby is probably a young male, you can tell by how much of their chin or “Gorget” is covered in flashing fuchsia, 💥(females don’t have very much, just a little splash of color at their throats) 🌼💚💖💚🌼 Last winter I spent a pretty decent amount of time customizing this 1:12 scale #dollhouse #bathroom set to make it the perfect #RestStop for traveling birds- ✨🧚♂️🛀🏼✨ Are you looking for a #little #SelfCare #LittleBird ? 👀 Check out this fresh water #BirdBath complete with #miniature #rubberduckies 🦆 #toilet #sink and #MicroMini #SugarWater #HummingbirdFeeder 🌼💧😂❤️😍😘 💦🛀🏼🚽#dollhouseminiatures #fairygarden #hummingbirdArt #🛀🏼 #dailymini #PottyHumor #🚽
Still the odd bumble about topping up on some honey water .

“Sugarwater” by Kitty
DV:
Every Kitty release seems like the most Kitty release until the next one, but Miami Garden Club was an entirely new plateau. Reconciling the rap and synth-pop poles she’s swung between over the past couple years, “Sugarwater” finds her head-over-heels and as confessional as ever, delineating the details of a relationship where the hook’s “Best sleep when I’m laying alone/ I’m breathing fire, if you’re leaving, bye” tells everything you’d need to know. Kitty’s whispered delivery has become almost a trademark, one of the throughlines of her discography; here she uses it both to examine the conflicts and desires that brought her to this point and to deliver a kiss-off that’s casually, wistfully dismissed - albeit warranted. “Sugarwater” is as immersive and lived-in as her best work has always been, the culmination of her past two years in the indie wilderness.
MG:
All the Kitty signatures are here: candid sense of humor, emotional breadth, attention to detail, and, of course, the quiet. Through her successive releases she’s honed a self-assuredness, particularly with when and how to be funny (the self-deprecating irony of “Okay Cupid” vs. “Asari Love Song” as a wholly unironic romance of a fictional alien race) but I think Miami Garden Club is her first work that’s comfortable with the quiet. Though fully fun and engaging, previous Kitty productions attempt to meet the expectations of pop music. The tension between her tendency toward providing realization in her lyrics and delivery and the open-endedness of a banger was fruitful, but temporary. On “Sugarwater,” she’s got as hooky and delectable a piece of songwriting as she’s ever released but without the conflict between sounding big and feeling small. Often, as she was plagued by doubters and accusers, the point of Miami Garden Club seemed to be creating an album free from sacrifice. People could demand access and time and refunds from her but she wasn’t going to change the album, it would come together under her specifications and come out on her schedule. I hope it did, it sounds like it did.
