summary: the first time seeing your long distance boyfriend in a few months and you’re reading thirst tweets to each other. whose idea was that?
warnings: nsfw, sexual themes, inappropriate comments, tension, light fluff, no actual smut !
it had been a near fight to get yourself to the airport. management and agents and hair and makeup wanted you to stay close but you had blatantly refused and mostly politely informed them that you were going to the airport to pick him up yourself.
you hadn’t seen finn in three months. immediately after filming, he was thrown into another project and you had filming of your own. the daily facetimes and phone calls hadn’t been cutting it after about a month. you had tried arguing and squeezing even just a weekend in to go out and see him and it hadn’t happened. needless to say, you were slightly past going insane and long past missing him.
at this point you didn’t even care if paps saw you together. the relationship hadn’t been a deliberate secret, and you were so desperate to see him that any logical or critical thinking had evaporated.
“finn!”
you had probably called his name entirely too loudly, as he flinched and nearly tripped. he whirled around, taking his headphones off and anxiously looking around for who had called him. his eyes landed on you and he lit up. his bag was dropped, and you weren’t completely sure who had run to who.
“oh my god, it’s you,” he sounded so relieved your heart swelled, “what are you doing here? why didn’t you tell me you were picking me up? i would have put in more effort—“
you laughed briefly before dragging his lips against yours. finn exhaled deeply, his hands finding your waist and hips and pulling you against him. he deepened the kiss, melting against you as the kisses turned messier, more heated and more frantic.
god, you had missed him. god, you fucking hated long distance. god, you just needed him.
you fought your burning desire to climb him like a tree and reminded yourself that no matter how much you missed him, a very heated, very public makeout was not what you wanted your reunion to be.
“missed you,” finn sighed contently, slightly breathless and with a just barely dazed expression.
“i missed you too…”
neither one of you had moved and you were feeling extremely relieved that he seemed to miss you just as much as you missed him. his arms stayed around you, holding you much tighter than he needed to, just as desperate to stay as close to you as possible.
“i love you,” he muttered it against your neck, placing the softest kiss on the neckline of your shirt. you knew he was tired and likely wanted nothing more than to sleep, but the gesture almost had you groaning. “i love you too—“ though it came out like you couldn’t breathe. finn had noticed the sharp intake of your breath and shifted to look at you, smirking just slightly.
you opened your mouth to scold him and chide him for teasing you, but he placed another quick kiss against your lips, his tongue flicking across your lips as he did— so quickly you could have imagined it.
your goddamn knees nearly buckled right then and there and finn smirked again, “so you must really miss me, huh?” you narrowed your eyes, cheeks reddening slightly. finn’s smirk didn’t fade as he leaned in, “don’t worry… why do you think i’m holding my jacket the way i am?” you glanced down briefly, thrilled and only slightly smug to realize he had his jacket tucked under both arms, that were crossed right against where one would have a belt buckle, jacket hanging down loosely— now looking like very obvious placement since he had pointed it out. you smirked faintly, “glad we’re on the same page…”
finn held your hand through the airport and to the driver waiting. “what’s our schedule?” finn allowed himself not to think when he was with you. you had promised early on to take care of the schedule for him, so he didn’t overthink it and stress. after two years together, he had finally learned to let you take care of him.
“well, we-“
“i mean are we going back to the hotel? do we have anything immediately? can we make out in the back of this car if we close the window?”
you fought back a snort, though nothing sounded better… “we’re going back to the hotel, we will immediately be in hair and makeup and yes.”
finn eyed you, eyebrow lifted, “yes?”
“yes.”
finn’s smirk returned and you almost groaned as he dragged you against him, stretching back, out on the seat as you climbed on top of him.
shit, you had missed him so much. you had missed this… you had worried you wouldn’t actually have any real time with him until late tonight when you were both exhausted and probably about to burst. you were thankful your manager let you go get him… you were thankful for l.a. traffic today… you were very thankful for the private car and the back that had a security screen…
“about ten minutes away.”
“fuck-“
you were really just getting started… still fully clothed, both breathless and messy and now even more worked up.
“this was a bad idea—“
“no, it wasn’t—“
“fuck, l.a traffic. why isn’t it worse?”
“fuck you and your foreplay-“
“hey—“
“sorry. i didn’t actually want to do it in the back of this car—“
“liar.”
“okay, yes… but still—“
you fought back an amused smirk, “i’m sorry… it’s their own fault for having the schedule so close together.”
“we can’t even buy like… an hour and a half?”
you lifted your eyebrows, “that’s ambitious after three months.”
“three months.”
“definitely not.”
“half an hour?”
“probably not even fifteen minutes.”
“how about five?”
you snorted, “finn! five minutes would do nothing.”
finn sighed and let his head fall back on the seat, “speak for yourself…”
you stared down at him with your lips pressed together, trying very hard not to laugh at him, while also genuinely understanding his frustration.
“oh, fuck!”
finn sat up, eyebrows furrowed, expression slightly concerned, “no fair! i only looked at you!”
“no! that’s not— no! god, finn… no. we have to read thirst tweets.”
“okay? sometimes those are funny—“
“to each other.”
“fuck.”
you drew close to finn once again, as if there was a magnet keeping the two of you from drifting too far away. “you look nice,” finn was fidgeting with the sweater he wore, eyes drifting back to you.
“thank you. i actually convinced them i didn’t need to dress up for reading filth.”
finn laughed slightly, “so rather than something nice, you’ve decided to torture me by wearing my band’s t-shirt? that i believe you took from my closet.”
your mouth twitched up slightly as you glanced down at the calpurnia shirt, “i wanted to be comfy. god forbid i love and support my boyfriend.”
“and steal from him…”
but finn was smiling and you caught his eye, “that’s just part of your job title as boyfriend.”
finn smirked again and shook his head, “keep wearing my t-shirts and maybe i’ll upgrade to live in boyfriend…”
you dropped your coffee directly onto the— thankfully not carpeted— floor. “shit—“ people were scrambling to clean it up but you still just stared at finn, “you’re serious?”
“maybe… i really fucking hate long distance. and after this we both have some time off. and i can think of way worse people to share a bed with every night… only if you want to, of course.
“i– yes! yes, i want to!”
“we’ve got to go, we’re almost running behind!”
finn only smirked softly as you were ushered quickly into yet another room. this conversation was not over. you fidgeted, heart beating erratically now. you wanted to force something else out as finn was settling into the chair beside you. but he was still smirking faintly.
“alright, you two, you know the drill! you’ve both been so widely requested even before the announcement of your romcom. if you’re uncomfortable reading any of these, don’t feel pressured.” you and finn exchanged glances and almost succeeded at hiding your smirks.
the cameras started rolling and you shifted, organizing the cards in your hands. “hey, everyone! i’m finn wolfhard,” finn introduced you and you exchanged small, mostly innocent smirks before you continued. “and today we’ll be reading thirst tweets.”
“would you like to go first?” you glanced to finn with a timid, hesitant expression.
“oh, no, ladies first…”
you gave him the briefest glare, to which he smirked back at you innocently. you cleared your throat and glanced down at the first card.
“Jesus-“
finn snorted, “what was that? are you repenting?”
you snorted and rubbed your face, “god, i probably should…” you exhaled deeply again, once again clearing your throat. you shifted and finn watched you intently.
“finn wolfhard could [redacted] me senselessly from both ends until i’m unconscious but i would still be sure to thank him.”
“wow,” there was a smirk fighting at the corner of finn’s mouth but you forced yourself to keep your eyes away from him. it would all be over if you looked at him. “well, thank you… for remembering to thank me. that’s nice—“
you scoffed, failing miserably at not looking at finn and feeling your cheeks immediately heat up. finn’s expression remained neutral but there was something in his eyes that you recognized. something that promised he was enjoying this and would inevitably make this as difficult as possible.
“i would let,” finn paused to take you in, and cleared his throat. he said your name and your heart flipped, “sit on my face. i would let her make temporary residence there, in fact. please make my face your temporary address, thank you.”
you snorted, “god—“
finn hadn’t taken his eyes off you and you once again marveled at his acting ability and unwavering expression.
you turned to him this time, eyes locked on his, ignoring the heat in your stomach and the tension threatening to choke you, “finn wolfhard isn’t even a hear me out, anymore. he’s a tie me down, handcuff me and watch me chew through the bars to get to him.”
“holy shit- wow. okay… thanks, i guess? i think i’m flattered?”
“you should be, i don’t say that lightly…”
there was giggles from behind the camera and finn smirked. they had wanted chemistry. playful flirting and banter…
you both laughed, playing off the heat growing in you and the tension between you nearly becoming unbearable.

KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS
after twenty minutes of looking into each other’s eyes and reading absolute filth to each other, you were beginning to feel dizzy. finn still had a barely visible smirk, as he tossed the cards in the air, “this has been thirst tweets. once again, i’m finn wolfhard,” he introduced you once again and grabbed your hand and lifted it, as if you had won a boxing match. your heart beat so erratically that you may as well have.
“that was beautiful!” your manager looked amused, “we can go back to the hotel for a bit— luckily, we have a few hours before our next—“
finn had grabbed your hand and was dragging you from the room, causing you to snort and nearly giggle as you ran behind him. you were nearly shoved into the car, more laughter escaping you. “finn—“ your poor boyfriend had held himself together like he was amused the entire time, though now he looked like he was about to implode.
the door closed behind you and you shifted. finn put a hand out, “not here—“
“what?”
“hotel is ten minutes away. won’t be good…”
you snorted, eyeing him with lifted eyebrows, “okay… if you-“
“don’t smirk at me, either.”
“shit, finn—“
he just looked at you and for a moment you saw a scolded puppy. you held back another snort and sighed, “so i shouldn’t quote thirst tweets at you, either?”
your tone was playful, but finn turned so quickly you almost flinched, “don’t you fucking dare.”
but his tone was whiney and almost desperate and you did smirk, “what if they’re all true?”
you could see the moment finn greatly debated jumping on you then just to shut you up. he shifted again, eyes still locked on you. they were warning and desperate and you really wanted this driver to just break a few road laws and get there faster.
you both kept yourself together extremely well through the lobby and the elevator. in fact, you almost thought finn was mad at you for how stiff he was, how he didn’t speak to you and how he didn’t look at you. until you were opening the door to your hotel room.
finn was on you in a second. hands on either side of your face, nearly tripping you as he guided you backwards, into the hotel room. you gasped against his lips, smiling instantly, your arms flailing ungracefully around his neck. finn closed the door with his foot, mostly gracefully pulling you against him.
“i missed you-“
“i love you—“
you spoke at the same time; both coming out in small gasps between frantic kisses. your hand slid up, into his hair, tangling it in his black curls as he drew in a shaky breath. “the concept of long distance is cruel and unusual…” you laughed breathily as your back hit the bed, nodding instantly agreement as your lips refused to separate from him.
“i’m never leaving again-“ you just nodded again, breathless as the kisses turned messier and more hungry. your legs wrapped around his waist as you dragged him closer against you. your head fell back just slightly as he nestled against your neck, nipping and sucking and making sure you were marked by him.
“remember we have more interviews—!”
you were too high on the feeling of him and his hair in your fingers to really meaningfully scold him.
“that’s what makeup is for…” finn glanced down at you with a not so innocent smirk as you shifted beneath him to take him in.
“god, you’re beautiful.”
“i thought you hated my foreplay—“
and finn just smirked at this, lifting a single eyebrow in answer. he had yanked off your jeans in a movement so swift that you would have been impressed if you weren’t already so breathless.
you pulled his shirt over his head and placed a delicate, loving kiss right against his shoulder. finn closed his eyes, forehead coming to rest against yours before your lips found each other again. less frantic, but still messy and filled with need. your arms tightened around him as he shifted just slightly, suddenly finding all the patience in the world if it meant driving you insane first.
you scrambled for the button of his pants but finn grabbed your wrist gently, “patience, darling. we have hours…”
the kisses shifted to softer and more calculated, his body pressed against yours as if you would disappear from beneath him. his hips moved just slightly and when you tugged a little sharper on his hair he smirked.
“i love you.”
“you’re being mean.”
and finn only smirked softly before bringing his lips to you again, “we have hours…”
Consider watching your f/o undress at the end of the night
If they had a long day
Their heavy footfalls as they walk around the bed, already taking off their shirt, not the most gentle to the fabric. Them throwing their shirt at the laundry bin, barely managing to shrug into something softer to sleep in. Pants given the same treatment, but the second they've been replaced, your f/o is on the bed, sliding under the blankets to get comfy.
If they didn't
Them, chatting with you across the bed, about their day. Clear signs of being tired on their face, but a smile to match when they caught you watching them. Instead of the bin, their shirt lands gently on your face, an extention of their teasing. Their pants would go next, into the correct bin, before sliding up to you on the bed and giving you a kiss, asking where their show was now.

A/N: There was literally no reason for me to write this, but I was stoned and listening to some family members talk about hunting. I'm a simple woman, so my brain automatically went to Daryl Dixon and this shit was created. It was an opportunity for me to nerd out, and I just felt like including this in my challenge lmao
This is for Bee's Winter Wonderland - day 08: Banter.
Masterlist | D.D. fluff masterlist
The two of you had been tracking and hunting all day when Daryl finally shot a buck. Dragging the carcass to a small clearing, the leaves crunch beneath his heavy boots, and he lays the deer down on its side. He is completely in his element, and you are captivated as you watch him work. Feeling your eyes on him, Daryl looks over at you and smirks softly. He'd been quiet for most of the trip, so his voice holds a deeper rasp.
“Baby, you're starin'.”
“Ain't my fault. You look good like this, y'know.”
“You're crazy. I ain't even doin' nothin' to make you look at me like that.” He may have rolled his eyes, but Daryl loved the praise. His stubborn ass would never admit it, though.
“Whatever. Just keep doin' what you're doin'. I like watchin'.”
Going back to his task, Daryl muttered something about 'women' beneath his breath and used his hunting knife to cut just below the deer's sternum. He continues to slice down to the pelvis, while the blade meets some resistance from the animal's skin. He's careful to avoid cutting into any of the organs.
As you watch, you're hit with the smell of blood, and you pull a face. You aren't squeamish or anything - you can't be in this world, but your nose crinkles all the same. Daryl was too busy with the deer, or he would've teased the shit out of you.
He finishes the initial incision and looks into the cavity of the animal. The organs are on clear display, and he's running through the next few steps in his head. Reaching inside, he feels the diaphragm and begins to slice it open. The smell intensifies, and you fight the urge to plug your nose.
Hearing you shift on your feet, Daryl looks over and sees the slight grimace on your face. This was the woman who could clear a small horde of walkers on her own. The sight of you getting restless over the smell of a dead animal made him smile.
“Since when are you squeamish, baby?”
Looking a bit sheepish, you roll your eyes and smiled a little. Daryl loved giving you shit, so this was no different. You did your best to brush off his teasing.
“Ain't squeamish. That shit just stinks.”
“You ain't even close to it. Imagine the smell from my position.”
You just shrugged and kept watching what he was doing. He may have been bloody and the raw scent of copper was thick in the air, but fuck he looked good. A small smile crept across your face, and you decided to take a seat in the grass.
Even though Daryl could feel your intense gaze on him, he was more focused on getting this done and went back to dressing the buck. With a quick tug, he severed the windpipe and pulled the tubular cartilage out. He set it beside the carcass and used his knife to remove the rest of the organs. Since he was eager to get home and rest with his baby, he was hastily dropping them to the side.
You couldn't look away from Daryl and was thoroughly entertained by the show he was putting on for you. His biceps flexed and clenched as he worked. The sight was bewitching, to say the least.
He tipped the body slightly and began to drain the animal of its blood. Daryl glanced over at you again and rolled his eyes for the umpteenth time. Were you seriously getting worked up over watching him gut a deer?
“You're a freak, y'know that?”
“Hey, I like what I like. 'Sides, don't act like you ain't likin' the way I'm lookin' at you.”
Even though you'd been together for quite some time now, your words never failed to fluster him. Daryl shook his head, and a light flush blossomed across his cheeks.
“Whatever.”
The buck was prepped, and you two could start the trek back to Alexandria. The tension between you was growing, and you had a mischievous grin on your face. You were both itching to get home, for obvious reasons.
tw: mentioned of smoking, drinking, addiction (maybe?) other than that fluff!
dating jason todd means doing things that he never thought he would.
and that includes drinking and smoking.
especially being vigilante and a wayne there's not much complains around his life expect some occasional remarks of bruce or alfred about his unhealthy eating habits, but he usually get away with it just like the rest of his habits.
he faces danger every single night, that's his justification, his job is not exactly a walk in the park or consistent like an average 9-5 work, so in his defense, he needs something that will ground him at the end of the day, which is fair to say the least, plus he's not really overdoing it, just something to cope up either the stress, exhaustion or even nightmares.
yet... when he start dating you, although he doesn't magically change himself overnight, rather deliberately and gently, for you, always for you
it began when you told a story about growing up with a drunk family member and how much you despises it, of how it can affect the people around them, later that night when the boys invited him, he had three shots of vodka instead of 15.
then it continues when both of you are walking in the afternoon around Gotham with his fingers laced yours and you passed by a man blowing the cigarette then the wind taking it to your direction, filling your nose with unwelcomed sting, running to your throat.
he saw the way your face change into displeased expression, he began to smoke one or two cigarettes at a time instead of two packs a day.
he could just continue his old habits, it's not like you've seen him do it anyway or you actively stopping him when you caught him one night, smoking.
jason is very good at hiding his vices, but now that you've moved in with him, he can't anymore.
he doesn't want to have his girl live in the same apartment filled with the smell nicotine and reeks of expired alcohol.
it wasn't easy for him either, there are times where he's having a hard time controlling, tempting to take more and more than he allowed himself.
especially when he wakes up some evening from nightmares, panting and sweaty from the intangible horror of his head and immediately grab a stick and light it up hoping to numb his head with chemicals.
but now, now that you're sleeping beside him, on his bed, in his apartment, he can't as much as his vices are calling him.
"jay you okay?" you murmur a question as you felt the warm empty place next to you.
jason who is sitting on the edge of the bed, catching his breath quietly rubbing his face with his rough hands, "m'fine baby, go back to sleep."
he's hiding and you know it, you roll on your back lazily and sat on the bed, crawli5 towards him, seeing the thin layer of sweat on his shoulder, you placed a soft kiss on his bare back, hoping it'll ground or calm him.
"nightmares?" you whispered, running your hands on his arms.
"s'kay, I'm fine," he insisted softly, exhaling the air and turn around slightly to face you.
his face shines against the soft light streaming from the window, from a nearby street lamp.
"you don't look fine to me," you said softly, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"let's just go back to sleep," he shook his head, holding your hip, guiding you to lay down.
you grab his arm, stopping him. "babe," he sigh, closing his eyes for a mere second.
"is there anything i could help?" you asked softly, probing, his eyes locked into yours then shakes his head, "just a nightmare," he said, it is just a nightmare for him, but his head is sprawling to grab the pack of cigarette in the kitchen and chain smoke until his lungs drowned in nicotine lolling him back to sleep.
"just tell me," you said, easing him into open himself, "anything i could help?" you added, with that worried expression that always present whenever he's struggling or hurt.
he paused, looking at you as though reading your face. "anything?"
"yeah, anything," you nodded, "nightmares aren't easy to deal with, do want me to make you a tea, chamomile is very good at calming you down, or I could put essential oils in the humidifier?"
he smiled softly at your sweet and caring suggestions. "you're so sweet doll, thank you but i don't think those will help me baby"
you frowned. "what, why?"
"tired em before, does nothing," he answered, brushing your cheeks gently, "don't worry about me."
"maybe there's something else, like–"
he clenched his jaw and shook his head. "let's just go back to sleep," he said about to crawl into his side
again you stopped him.
"come on jay, please?"
he looked away for a second and then sigh again. "wanna smoke but im tryin to quit." he search your face to see a reaction but all he saw was the softness of your eyes that he knows will would eventually kill him in every way possible.
he never saw anyone looked at him the way you do, that worries itched on your face, even when you're scolding him quietly, and in all honesty he's doing better for you at least, not pushing himself more than what he could take because he wants to go home to you, safe and in once piece, he doesn't wanna worry you as much as he craved that attention thay solely for him and no one else's.
"then what do you want?" you asked quietly.
his gaze softens, moving stray hairs away from your forehead. "it's late, don't wanna keep you up."
"you always do that," you said with slight disappoinment and frustrations.
"do what?" he frowned slightly.
"that," you said, pointing at his face, "dodging, you always brush it off whenever you're struggling or need of something, im your girlfriend remember?"
he stares at your face for a few seconds as if mustering himself to say what's in his mind.
"fine, you really wanna know?'
"duh of course," you rolled your eyes
he rolled his eyes playfully as well, crawling back to the bed, he move his head upwards signalling you to do the same. "sit by the headboard," he said softly, voice deepening as if he about to say some secret to you, or his secrets, "prop a pillow at your back."
you move gently towards the headboard of your shared bed and stare at his face, waiting...
"good girl," he whispered, "spread those legs," he added, crawling in between your knees, which immediately flooded your mind with thousands of scenarios, "wider"
his gaze are up to your face and on your spread out legs, drinking your position, like he's going to rewind this over and over later, dragging his eyes from your face to your body.
he smiled softly, "since you're so eager to help, how about you turn off my brain while drench this face at the same time mhm?" he murmur into your inner thighs, eyes dilated and never taking off from you, as he place lingering kisses on your skin
your stomach began to churn, nerves around your legs lightening up themselves, the rush of blood running towards your cheeks.
you nodded feverishly, anything to help him.
he immediately smirked and eyes softening more. "atta girl, make me proud."
who said he can't replace his old vices to a new one (you)

The alarm goes off far too early.
You groan, half-buried beneath the sheets, fumbling for your phone until the sound finally cuts off. The silence that follows is heavy and soft, filled with steady breathing and the faint rustle of fabric.
Bokuto mumbles something unintelligible against your shoulder before letting out a low, gravelly complaint.
“Nooo… turn it back off. It’s too early.”
You smile sleepily. “That was the point of turning it off, genius.”
He grumbles again and tightens his arms around your waist, pulling you flush against his bare chest. His skin radiates warmth—solid, comforting, addictive. You can feel the slow drag of his breathing against your back, the rise and fall that matches yours like habit.
You reach for your phone again, trying to slip free, but his hand slides up your side instead—slow and lazy—fingers tracing patterns on your skin as his lips press a line of drowsy kisses along your shoulder.
“Ko,” you laugh softly, twisting in his hold, “I have to get up. Not everyone has today off.”
“Call in,” he murmurs, voice rough with sleep. His mouth brushes the curve of your neck. “Tell them you’re sick. Tell them it's your boyfriend’s fault.”
You snort. “You’d love that, wouldn’t you?”
“Mmhm. Especially if it meant I didn’t have to let you go.”
He’s half-asleep but still manages that little grin you feel rather than see, the one that always gets you in trouble. His hand lingers on your waist, thumb drawing lazy circles against your skin, the weight of him making it hard to remember why you needed to move in the first place.
For a moment, you almost give in. Almost.
But the clock on your phone glares at you, cruel and bright. With a sigh, you worm out of his grip, ignoring his dramatic groan of protest. Your legs protest too—knees weak, body pleasantly sore in all the places that remind you exactly what you two stayed up doing last night.
“You’re trouble,” you murmur, reaching for your robe.
“Worth it,” he mumbles, already sinking back into the pillow.
You roll your eyes, but when you glance back, he’s smiling faintly in his sleep, sunlight spilling across his shoulder and you can’t quite stop the warmth that spreads through your chest.
You tug your robe tighter as you move toward the dresser, every step a reminder of how pleasantly tired your body feels. You’re still a little wobbly, knees unsteady, the ache between your thighs both tender and satisfying. The air is cool against skin still marked by warmth, and for a second you almost miss the heat of him.
The sheets rustle behind you.
You don’t look right away—you’re trying to find a shirt—but you can feel the weight of his gaze. It’s lazy and possessive in that unspoken way he has, like you’re gravity and he’s just giving up on pretending to resist.
Finally, you turn.
And stop.
Bokuto’s sitting up in bed now, back against the headboard, one arm tucked behind his head and the other resting across his stomach. The sunlight cuts across his chest, tracing the sharp lines of muscle down to where the sheets rest low on his hips. His hair’s a mess, and his grin is slow—confident and a little smug, like he knows exactly what he looks like right now.
For a beat, you just stare.
Your mouth goes a little dry. He isn’t doing anything—just breathing, existing—but it’s enough to make your pulse trip. You should keep moving, you need to keep moving, but your brain’s already flashing with a memory of his hands gripping your waist, of that same body moving against yours hours ago.
You swallow hard, drag your eyes back to the dresser, and mutter,
“What?”
“Nothing,” he says, voice rough and low. “Just thinking how good you look when you’re trying not to look.”
You blink, cheeks warming instantly. “You’re ridiculous.”
He laughs under his breath, slow and amused.
“You could still call in, y’know. We could pick up where we left off.”
You glance over your shoulder, catching the faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, the faint rise of his chest as he stretches again. For a second, the idea almost wins—the bed looks warm, his hand’s already outstretched, and you know exactly how easy it would be to fall right back into him.
But you pull your eyes away, forcing a laugh that sounds steadier than you feel. “I can’t be late again. Not after last time.”
“You’re no fun,” he pouts.
“You’re trouble,” you shoot back, tying your robe a little tighter.
He grins, teeth flashing. “Worth it, though.”
You grab your clothes and start toward the bathroom before your self-control completely gives out. Behind you, he chuckles, deep and lazy, voice following you out the door.
“You love me.”
“You’re impossible!” you call back, but the smile that slips out gives you away.
Behind you, he just laughs again, deep and warm, and for the first time that morning, the thought of leaving almost feels like a mistake.
Steam curls from the shower you run just to wake up, softening the edges of the bathroom mirror. You’re bent over the sink, brushing your teeth, still replaying that look he gave you — the one that made your knees threaten betrayal all over again.
The door creaks open, hinges protesting, and his reflection fills the fogged glass before he even speaks.
He’s dressed now — sweatpants hanging low on his hips, a black hoodie that clings to his shoulders just enough to remind you how broad he is. His hair’s still messy, but the smug grin has been replaced by something easier, almost boyish.
He hums and joins you at the sink, grabbing his own toothbrush. The space feels smaller instantly, his presence crowding the air in that comforting way only he can. You bump elbows when you both reach for the faucet and dissolve into quiet laughter.
For a while, the only sounds are running water and muffled brushing. The domestic rhythm is steady, easy, like muscle memory — a little too intimate for how ordinary it should be.
When you finish, you start your skincare, trying to ignore the heat creeping up your neck. His reflection catches yours in the mirror, eyes soft, still a little tired but bright with something fond.
“What?” you ask, dabbing moisturizer across your cheeks.
“Just looking,” he says, smiling around his toothbrush. “You’re cute when you’re pretending you’re not thinking about me.”
You roll your eyes, but your grin betrays you. “You think you’re smooth, huh?”
“Don’t need to be. You’re already blushing.”
He spits, rinses, and leans on the counter beside you, arms crossed. The quiet stretches, comfortable now.
“Got plans today?” you ask, trying for casual.
“Yeah,” he says easily. “Walking you to work.”
You blink. “You don’t have to—”
“I know.” He turns his head just enough to meet your eyes in the mirror. “But I want to.”
Something softens in your chest. You reach for your bag, lips curving despite yourself.
“You’re ridiculous,” you murmur.
He grins, leaning close enough that his breath warms your temple.
“Yeah, but you love me.”
He presses a mint-flavored kiss to your hairline, and your laughter spills into the fogged mirror, small and bright. The morning hums quiet around you — ordinary, simple, and perfect.
The morning air is crisp when you both step outside. The quiet between you feels easy now, full of leftover laughter and sleepy contentment. Bokuto walks beside you with his hands stuffed into the pocket of his hoodie, his hair finally tamed into something that still manages to look effortless.
The city is just waking up — shop signs flickering to life, buses rumbling past, the smell of coffee drifting from a café down the street. He glances down at you, grin soft but teasing.
“You sure you’re awake enough to work after last night?”
You bump your shoulder into his. “Don’t start.”
“What? I’m just saying you look a little… glowy.”
You roll your eyes, but the smile creeping up your face gives you away. His fingers brush yours once, then again, until he just laces them together, the warmth of his hand chasing the chill from the air.
The walk is quiet after that — small talk, shared smiles, the kind of domestic silence that only exists when you know someone completely. When your building comes into view, he slows down, thumb tracing lazy circles over your hand.
“Text me when you’re done, yeah?”
You nod. “If you don’t get distracted and forget.”
“Never,” he says, leaning down to kiss your forehead, the gesture gentle and sure.
You’re still smiling when you walk through the front door of your workplace, heart fluttering in that way it always does after he leaves. It’s a small miracle you make it to your desk before someone calls your name.
Your coworker, grin wide and knowing, tilts their head.
“Rough night?”
You laugh awkwardly, setting down your bag. “Something like that.”
They nod toward your neck, fighting back a smirk.
“You might wanna check the mirror before the next meeting, by the way.”
Confused, you touch the spot they’re pointing at — and freeze when your fingers brush over the unmistakable edge of a bruise just beneath your collar.
“...Fantastic,” you mutter, face warming.
Your coworker just laughs, spinning in their chair.
“At least someone’s having a good morning.”
You sigh, half-mortified, half-amused, and pull your collar a little higher. Your phone buzzes then — one new message.
[Bo 🦉]: made it to the gym. you still thinking about calling in? ;)
You stare at the screen, a helpless smile tugging at your lips.
“Yeah,” you whisper under your breath. “Maybe I am.”

Blood splattered around the corpse. Lights flashing red and blue every second. Rain had just stopped pouring. It wasn’t surprising to see another murder, but it was for the police. It’s the third time this week. A third murder crime. It has the detectives spiral their heads over on why this is happening and who is the killer. Detective Kim Dahyun was one of the detectives to solve this crime. She sighed as she rubbed her head in frustration before looking at her co-worker, Squad 1 Captain Hirai Momo. “This is the third time this week..” She mumbled as she walked back over to her “If we don’t find and arrest this killer, we’ll lose more citizens than saving them.” Dahyun explained, Momo tsking out as she lit another cigarette “We even have Detective Sana on this.. Chief Jihyo on this.. Hell, we even have a gang involved just because we are this desperate to solve this crime.” Momo exclaimed, making Dahyun look back at the corpse “The only thing that’s bothering me is that this killer doesn’t leave any traces, any evidence, to even have just the slightest progress.” Dahyun rubbed her forehead. Momo sighed before patting Dahyun’s shoulder “We’ll solve it, somehow.” Momo said, trying to ease Dahyun’s burden. Dahyun showed a tired smile before nodding “Alright, call in the clean up crew and the forensics team, we need even the smallest evidence or lead to be finally able to catch the culprit.”

The door to a secluded convenience store opened, a girl that looks roughly around her 20’s entered. Wiping away the blood on her hands as she walked up to the cashier “Tulips are blossoming by the bay.” She mumbled, the cashier looked up before motioning for the back door “They’ve been waiting.” He tiredly said before going back to whatever he was doing prior. The girl nodded before opening the back door, heading towards a dimly lit hallway and another door at the end. Y/n took her hood off as she tsked out in frustration “Fucking hell.. It’s too hot these days..” You complained as you walked down the hallway, looking at your blood stained hands before shoving them inside your pockets. You opened the door, letting it creak, revealing a dimly lit room. At the center sat your sister, Lim Nayeon alongside one of her subordinates, Son Chaeyoung “I’m back.” You said tiredly as you plopped down at the couch, sighing, putting your head back onto the couch “Fucking hell..” You mumble as you hear Nayeon chuckle “Did you run into anyone?” She asked, you shook your head “What do you see me as? An Amateur?” You scoffed, looking at your sister with disbelief “Just checking, you can never be too sure, even if you can leave like a ninja.” Nayeon shrugged, you sighed as you scrolled through your phone “Where are the others?” You asked “Jeongyeon Unnie is with Mina Unnie, but I don’t know where they are” Chaeyoung replied, making you groan.
“I’m hungry.” You mumbled before calling Jeongyeon. You let the phone ring before you hear Jeongyeon’s voice “Y/n? Are you in trouble?” She immediately asks, concerning lurking in her voice “No no, I just want you to stop by to get some food please.” You ask as you chuckle, you hear Jeongyeon sigh, already imagining her eyes rolling at such a request “Fine, what do you want?” She asks, making you grin “Tteokbokki and Fish cakes.” You said smugly, hearing Jeongyeon chuckle “Alright, I’ll see you guys in a bit. Tell Nayeon I love her.” Jeongyeon teased before hanging up “LIM NAYEON GET YOUR ASS A ROOM WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND AND LEAVE ME OUT OF IT.” You yelled as you fake a gag, making Chaeyoung and Nayeon laugh “Oh Y/n, one day you will know what it’s like to be in love.” Nayeon said to you, making you physically recoil “Love? The fuck? Hell no.” You said as you scoffed “If they can get past the walls I built.” You said as you shrugged, making Chaeyoung sigh “When will you finally let someone in, Unnie?” The younger girl asks as you glance away, letting your thoughts consume you ‘Yeah, when will I finally let someone in?’

Dahyun rested her head on the table, papers scattered across the mahogany as she tried to find leads, anything at this point, to even have the slightest clue on who was behind all the killings. Momo and the rest had already gone home, Dahyun was the only one left in the building “Bullshit.” She mumbled to herself as she leaned back onto the chair, looking at the documents, the forensic reports, everything that had a possible lead to the case. Not even one had a single lead “This murderer is smart, like they were trained to do this..” She mumbled as she looked at the pinboard that was scattered with numerous pictures of corpses, all in different locations, yet she noticed one pattern. They were all men, “What the..” Dahyun stood up as she looked at the pictures carefully this time, looked at every single one, and they all had one thing in common, ‘The murderer is targeting men?’ Dahyun thought to herself before noting it down inside her notebook “That’s one crazy man hater..” She laughed to herself as she plopped down on her chair once more, closing her eyes to take a quick rest.
Not long after, her phone buzzed. She glanced at the notifications that were piling up, various text messages from different people. Squad 1 Capt. Momo, Chief Jihyo, her parents. Everything was overwhelming her. Dahyun decided not to reply, putting her phone face down onto the mahogany before going back to work, ‘Not only are they men, but they are all killed at similar times.’ She thought as she looked through the deceased’s files

‘They were all nearing midnight or atleast midnight’ Dahyun thought to herself before noting the time stamps on some sticky paper then sticking it to the pinboard. She looked at the messy pinboard, various pictures, all different locations, and yet, no leads to whoever was behind the killings on Insa-Dong Street. Dahyun rubbed her temples before sitting down, deciding to call it a night before cleaning up the scattered papers, putting them all neatly inside a folder. Standing up, grabbing her bag and car keys, Detective Dahyun went up and left, calling it a day.

You were at the rooftop of the building, pondering something deeply that you didn’t notice Mina walking up behind you “You seem deep in thought.” She said softly, making you glance at her “You scare me.” You replied, making her chuckle “It’s my specialty.” She simply said before standing beside you “How did you let Chaeyoung in..” You asked softly, looking at the city lights “I mean, like.. How can someone like us ever receive love? Or atleast be accepted by someone?” You looked at Mina who was already looking at you “Because I know I can’t handle everything on my own.” Mina stated, making you look confused “I didn’t let Chaeyoung in just because I simply needed help, I let her in because in a way she makes me feel comfortable enough to let my walls down, to just be myself.” Mina continued, looking at the city lights in the distance “It’s not just because I simply needed help or that I know I like her. It’s deeper than that, Y/n” She continued “And you won’t understand the concept of letting someone in until you find someone who you, yourself, will experience love.” She said, looking at you “… But how did she learn to accept you that we are.. you know, this?” You asked, “That we are murderers?” Mina asked, you nodded “That was kinda hard, it’s unexplainable how.” She chuckled, you hummed “Yeah, considering the fact that we’re literally being paid to have a mass murder on men right now..” You sighed as you rubbed your head “I wouldn’t be surprised if someone found a lead, I killed three in a week.” You stated, making Mina chuckle “You’ll find someone, I know it.” Mina tried to comfort you, making you nod “I just hope they’ll.. you know, accept me? I guess?” You said softly, vulnerability visible in your eyes, making Mina sigh “Look, it wasn’t easy for Chaeyoung to accept what I did for a living.” Mina stated “But it took time, a hell lot of time. We had multiple fights because of it.” Mina continued “But eventually, she just accepted it and somehow also got curious.” Mina chuckled, “That’s why she’s under Nayeon right now.” Mina looked at you “You’ll find someone who will love and accept you one day.”
You looked at Mina before smiling “Thanks.” You softly stated, making Mina nod “Don’t worry, I had doubts like this aswell, it’s normal considering the fact that we also kill.” Mina shrugged as she chuckled, making you roll your eyes “Yeah yeah, whatever lovebird.” You teased, making Mina gasp “Hey, I just helped you with your doubts and now you’re teasing me?” She stated in a fake offended voice “Well because you are a love bird, to Chaeyoung at least.” You stated the fact, making Mina chuckle “God, I hate that you are Nayeon’s younger sister” She stated “That makes two teasers, and two skilled killers.” You said smugly before looking at the city lights “It’s pretty.” You said, making Mina nodded “Yeah, this was my favorite view back then when I had doubts falling for Chaeyoung.” Mina stated, making you sigh “I just hope I’m able to let someone in after all these years.” You stated, Mina hummed “You will, I know you will.”

A few days have passed, you, Chaeyoung and Mina decided to head to the city to buy some needed groceries. You let them handle whatever needed to be handled at the grocery shop, while also picking some goodies for your own. You were lining up to pay when you decided to head out first to get the car ready. While doing so, you ran into Dahyun, who seemed to be looking at you while someone was pestering her “Hey, uhm, I know this sounds crazy but can you act like my fake girlfriend? Just until he leaves.” Dahyun walked up to you, whispered while holding your hand but keeping a small distance “Yeah? Is he bothering you?” You asked as you glanced at the man that was approaching you both “Mmhm.” Dahyun hummed before looking back, the man nearing you and Dahyun “Come on, please? Just one date?” The man looked at Dahyun once more, you sighed before pulling Dahyun closer by the waist “Back off buddy, she’s mine.” You stated as you looked at the taller being
“You? She’s got horrible taste if she’s dating the likes of you.” The man said, making you scoff “Me? I’m better than a sorry excuse of a man like you.” You said cockily, holding Dahyun closer “And besides, I can do shit you can’t do. Like treat my girlfriend better than you cheating fucks.” You continued as you glared at him “Now, I want you to fuck off. She’s mine.” You looked at him one last time before tsking out, holding Dahyun’s hand “Let’s go baby.” You mumble as you lead her into the grocery store where Mina and Chaeyoung is, leaving the man frustrated. You walked down near the chips aisle before looking at Dahyun “Hey, you okay?” You asked, Dahyun smiled gently “Yeah, thank you by the way.” She said, making you nod “It’s fine, it was nothing.” You shrugged as you glanced over the cashier to see if Chaeyoung and Mina were still around “I think it’s safer if you head on home now, it’s better to stay indoors than to roam around at night.” You stated, making Dahyun nod “Yeah I will, I just so happened to bump into that guy, I was trying to find someone to help me.” Dahyun said, making you chuckle “Well lucky you, you just so happen to bump into me.” You teased, making Dahyun giggle “I’m Dahyun by the way, Kim Dahyun.” She introduced herself to you “I’m Y/n.” You simply stated before hearing Chaeyoung call out for you “Oh, I have to go now. It was nice meeting you” You said to Dahyun before waving “Yeah, you go on ahead, thank you again!” Dahyun said before you left
You left with Chaeyoung as you approached your car again once more, Mina was packing the groceries into the back of the car before Chaeyoung teased you “Sooo.. Who was that you were talking to just now?” Chaeyoung teased, making you groan “She was no one, Chae.” You stated as you got into the driver’s seat, Chaeyoung and Mina at the back seat “You sure about that?” Mina chimed in with the teasing, making you roll your eyes “Please, I doubt she’d fall for me, even if I did save her—“ You tried to explain but was cut off by Chaeyoung “You saved her?!” She exclaimed, making you regret she ever found you talking to Dahyun “Yes, from a creepy disgusting man. Now can we please drop the topic?” You asked as Mina chuckled from the back “We will, but we will interrogate you first.” She teased, making you groan “God, I’d rather do anything than be interrogated just for talking to a girl!” You exclaimed as the two laughed at the backseat.
——
Dahyun returned to the building as Momo and Jihyo were standing near the lobby “Hey, what took you so long?” Jihyo asked out of concern, Dahyun nodded “Yeah, aside from the fact a creepy guy tried to ask me out and a pretty girl saved me, otherwise I’m okay.” Dahyun explained, leaving Momo and Jihyo baffled, “What?!” Momo exclaimed, looking at Dahyun “What? I’m here, ain’t I?” Dahyun looked at the two who looked back at her with concern, “Oh please, I’m perfectly fine.” Dahyun huffed “Yeah, but elaborate on the part where you just said a creepy guy tried to ask you out and a pretty girl saved you?” Jihyo looked at Dahyun “Oh, yeah. On my way here, a guy tried hitting on me but I turned him down because I don’t like guys that way. So after that, he was so persistent about it, I tried leaving but he wouldn’t budge.” Dahyun explained “It just so happened Y/n was there and I told her to act like my girlfriend just to shoo the guy away.” Dahyun continued, Momo and Jihyo listening intently “So after that, the guy did leave after Y/n led me into the nearby grocery store and told me that I shouldn’t be wandering around the streets this late at night because of guys like him.” Dahyun finished explaining, looking at Jihyo who let out a deep breathe “Atleast someone was there to save you, but why didn’t you contact me or Momo? You know we would’ve picked you up from your apartment.” Jihyo explained, Dahyun let out a small chuckle “Well, I wanted to walk so that’s why I decided to walk today, I just didn’t expect a guy like him was wandering.” Dahyun explained, Momo hummed “Next time you do, just think about calling for us instead.” Momo said, making Dahyun nod “I’ll keep that in mind.”

You entered your shared flat as Mina and Chaeyoung put away the groceries, you tossed the car keys near the counter before plopping down onto the couch “I’m so tired..” You mumbled out before Nayeon entered the room “We have another suspect to kill.” Nayeon said outloud, you closed your eyes “Ruiz Duskbane, 24” Nayeon continued “So, who’s killing him?” You asked, Nayeon looked at you with a knowing look “You obviously.” She said, “I thought it was Jeongyeon’s turn?” You asked as you looked at your older sister “It’s still you that’s being requested, N/n.” Nayeon shrugged as you scoffed “Damnit.” You cursed before plopping back down onto the couch “Nayeon Unnie! Did you know N/n was talking to a girl?” Chaeyoung said to Nayeon as she teased you, your eyes widening “Nope! Nope, we are not doing this Chaeyoung!” You exclaimed but it was too late, Nayeon looked at Chaeyoung curiously “A girl, huh? Is that so N/n?” Nayeon started to tease you “No, it’s too late for this. I am going to bed.” You said before standing up to go to your room, hearing the three snicker after teasing you.
You shut the door of your bedroom before leaning against it, letting out a sigh as you closed your eyes ‘Fuck, she did look pretty’ you thought as you licked your dry lips, standing up and heading over to your bed as you sat down on the edge of it. You opened your phone to decide to scroll around, maybe stalk her profile—What?! No way you were going to do that, right? The screen illuminated your face as you started going through your socials, curiosity killing you, so you decided to type in her name on Instagram, her profile wouldn’t show up… right?
Her profile showed up, deciding that you’re already in this situation, you decided to click on it, there’s no harm in—“Holy shit she is hot.” You mumbled as you scrolled down her profile, there were pictures of her in her detective uniform, some in casual wear, and others were pictures of beautiful scenery. What caught your eye was that she was part of the Police ‘A detective, huh?’ You thought to yourself ‘I better be careful when I run into her next time.’ You hummed as you turned your phone off and stood up to get ready for bed. ‘But then again, it’s such a small chance to run into her with a city this big.’ You chuckled to yourself as you got into your pjs, sliding into the comfort of your bed as you prepared to go to sleep.

“There is no way I am going to some club just to kill. That is a risky job, and a risky place to even murder someone. Imagine seeing a dead body on your night out?!” You exclaimed, Nayeon sighed as she rubbed her forehead “Well that’s what you are assigned to! I can’t change that, plus, are you seriously going to turn down $25,000?” Nayeon asked, making you click your tongue “It’s too risky, Unnie.” You mumbled “I could easily get arrested. Not to mention, I barely leave traces of myself when I do kill. That’s why I’m still here and not behind some metal bars.” You said, making Nayeon sigh “I know that but the money, Y/n.” Nayeon was persistent with the job. Sure, you five needed the money, but at what cost? “Nayeon, hear me out, it’s too risky even if I have an alibi to cover for me. There’s just going to be too many people surrounding the club, and not to mention, security is higher nowadays because of us” You explained “It’s not simple but it’s not safe either.” You finished, making Nayeon think “Look, I know that, that is why Mina and Chaeyoung will be there to accompany you—“ Nayeon was cut off by you “You’re seriously thinking about the money over the well being of your own sister?!” You exclaimed, making Nayeon roll her eyes "Poison him then, you know murders aren’t all knives and guns.” Nayeon bluntly stated.
“Fine whatever, but don’t expect me to be back that quick. It’s a fucking club for god’s sakes.” You tsked out, Nayeon sighing “I love you, N/n but..” Nayeon trailed off, you understood her side anyway, regardless of bantering with her earlier “I know. I know. It’s just risky.” You explained, making Nayeon nod her head “So will you take it?” Nayeon asked, you nodded “Yeah, yeah, poisoning someone will be fine. It’s Ruiz Duskbane right?” You asked, Nayeon nodded before showing you a picture of the target “Alright, I’ll strike tonight. I’m bringing Mina and Chaeyoung so it doesn’t look that obvious.” You leaned against the kitchen counter “And at least, they can get to go have fun once in a while.” You chuckled as Nayeon rolled her eyes playfully. “You know them, they’re probably going to make out at some point in the mission.” Nayeon giggled, making you groan “Oh god, if I see them making out, I’m throwing up.” You fake a gag, making Nayeon laugh out loud.

You walked into the club with Mina and Chaeyoung, the two girls running off somewhere. You wore a messy suit, loosened up tie and the first two buttons of your oversized polo was undone, you wore some baggy slacks and some sneakers to top it off. You walked around near the counter before spotting your target ‘There you are Ruiz.’ You thought to yourself before a familiar figure showed up beside you “I didn’t expect you to be into these kinds of places” Dahyun said softly as you turned to look at her “Same goes to you.” You chuckled, Dahyun sitting beside you ‘Fuck this isn’t going as planned’ You thought before subtly checking her out, she wore a mid-thigh dress and a leather jacket “So, who are you with?” You asked, trying to find Chaeyoung or Mina subtly “Oh, with some of my friends, they’re enjoying themselves on the dance floor” She chuckled as she ordered a drink. By God’s miracle, Chaeyoung walked up behind you and tried to ask how the mission was going “Chaeyoung! Hey, so I have something to ask.” You turned to face her, your eyes signaling that you can’t do the mission, not with Dahyun around “Yeah? What’s up?” Chaeyoung asked as she glanced over Dahyun, who was receiving her drink. You handed the poison over to Chaeyoung subtly as you looked at Chaeyoung “Give this to Mina, I can’t kill someone in front of a detective.” You whispered to her before ushering her away, leaving Chaeyoung to chuckle to herself and finding Mina.
You turned back to Dahyun, who was giggling at your interaction with Chaeyoung. “Hey, sorry about that, I just needed to tell her something.” You said while rubbing your nape awkwardly, Dahyun shook her head “No problem, it’s cute. You guys look like siblings.” Dahyun snickered, making you laugh “Is that so, huh?” You teased Dahyun who rolled her eyes as she drank “Yeah, I mean, are you actually siblings?” She asked, you shook your head “Nope, my older sister decided to stay home today.” You said as you ordered a drink for yourself “It’s just me, Chaeyoung and her girlfriend. Thought I’d accompany them to head out once in a while you know?” You chuckled, making Dahyun snicker “Yeah, it’s good to get out once in a while you know?” She hummed, you looked at her clearly this time as she glanced over to the dance floor. She had long wavy black hair and beautiful dark brown eyes making you stare longer than you should’ve had “Hey, eyes on me.” Dahyun snapped you out of your trance, making her giggle as you looked away flustered “Sorry, it’s just that you are so pretty. I can’t help but stare.” You shrugged, Dahyun raising her eyebrow “I didn’t expect you to be that honest.” Dahyun chuckled.
——
It’s been quite a night. You saw Mina sneakily putting the poison powder into Ruiz’s drink, before he drank it. Making him look like he fainted from too many “drinks”, or whatever the bartender said. No one bats an eye on him, making the three of you complete the mission easily. Except for the fact that Chaeyoung and Mina had a few too many drinks, enjoying themselves on the dance floor. You let them since you guys barely even go out to enjoy the night, while also enjoying yourself with a couple of drinks. Dahyun had accompanied you all night, making you laugh, and making you lower your guard just this once. No one has ever made you lower your guard, not even Nayeon, which surprised you even more “Hey, let’s go on to the dance floor.” Dahyun looked at you with hooded eyes, clearly tipsy. “Yeah I don’t think that’s a good idea.” You chuckled as Dahyun pouted “But that’s no fun..” She sulked, making you chuckle even more “Is that so?” You decided to tease her, making Dahyun roll her eyes “Yeah! We’re supposed to dance the night away, and maybe even enjoy ourselves..” Dahyun slurred as you pulled her closer, making sure she’s near you since there were a lot of drunk men around “Yeah?” You mumbled softly as Dahyun rested her head on your shoulder “Mmhm..” She hummed as she wrapped her arms around your neck, playing with the ends of your hair, looking at you with hooded eyes “You’re drunk.” You whispered to her as you chuckled at her flushed face “Me? Drunk? No.” Dahyun huffed as she tightened her hold around you “Yeah, I think that’s enough.” You said, paying for both your drinks at the bar before dragging her off to the corner of the club “Mmph..” Dahyun hummed as she leaned against you, her perfume filling your senses as the influence of the alcohol was starting to take its effect, it didn’t help that the lights and sounds were all making you overwhelmed.
Dahyun cupped your cheeks as she snapped you out of your trance “You know, it’s nice to let loose for once.” She mumbled, making you raise an eyebrow “Yeah? You don’t get to do that often do you?” You asked, making her nod into your neck, your breath hitching “Yeah..” Dahyun replied, making you sigh and rub your thumb against the material of her dress “And you know..” Dahyun continued, “You’re actually pretty hot..” She mumbled, looking up to you, making you look at her with a teasing smirk “And what are you going to do about it?” You teased, making her bite her bottom lip “This.” She replied before kissing you softly, making your eyes widen before kissing her back. She hummed into the kiss as she held you close, you held her waist, keeping your hands near the end of her jacket. When you both pulled away for air, she panted against your lips and chuckled “Fuck, you’re a good kisser.” She whispered, you rolled your eyes as you smirked, pinning her against the wall behind her, she wrapped her arms loosely around your neck as she looked at you cockily
“Good kisser?” You scoffed playfully “Mmhm, a good kisser..” She replied before kissing you again, making you groan against her lips. She pulled you closer as you started to trail your lips down her neck, making her lean back onto the wall to give you more access to her snowy white skin “You know, Dahyun..” You mumbled against her neck, sending vibrations to her body “You’re so fucking hot..” You chuckled before sucking on a sensitive spot, making her shudder and whimper softly “Y-Yeah?..” She breathlessly let out before pulling you impossibly closer. “Mmhm, you’re so gorgeous.. and I wonder why you’re still single.” You pull back, licking your lips as you see a small trail of hickeys lining down her neck, grinning to yourself as she panted, looking at you with hooded eyes “Y/n..” She breathed out “God, fucking kiss me..” She said before pulling you in by your collar, smashing your lips together as you continued to make out. “Dahyun..” You pulled away as Dahyun whined at the sudden loss of contact “You know you’re drunk right?” You mumbled as she huffed “So what? Drunk actions are sober actions you know.” She replied, making you chuckle before pulling her closer “I just don’t want you to regret anything.” You mumbled “Especially not with me.” Dahyun looked up to you in confusion but you waved it off “Come on, let’s find your companions.” You said before holding her tightly, keeping her close to you as you two navigated the sea of people.
You asked each person that was on the dancefloor if they had accompanied Dahyun prior to bumping into you. Until you finally met Momo and Jihyo, who were sitting by the booth “Hey, uhm, this might sound strange but did you guys accompany Dahyun prior to losing her because she bumped into me?” You asked, Jihyo looking up to her phone before glancing at Dahyun, who was resting her head on your shoulder “Yes, oh my god.” Jihyo gasped as she reached out for Dahyun. “Yeah, sorry, she bumped into me by the bar and spent her time there.” You chuckled as you helped Dahyun sit down beside Momo, who pulled her closer “No worries, at least she was with someone whom she’s familiar with.” Momo replied, making you nod “Yeah, I’ll get going now. It was nice meeting you both.” You turned to leave before Jihyo grabbed your shoulder “Hey, what’s your name?” She asked, you smiled “Y/n.” Was all you said before leaving.
——
You basically had to drag Mina and Chaeyoung out of the club and into your car. Luckily, you were sober enough to drive but your head still hurt from the amount of alcohol that you chugged down. You started the engine to your car before driving the three of you back home. On the drive back, you thought about how Dahyun was the one person who accidentally let your guard down so easily. No one has been able to do that, not even Nayeon who is your elder sister. ‘Is this what they meant when I’ll know when I’ll be able to experience it?’ You thought to yourself before pulling up to the driveway of your guys’ apartment building. Heading up towards the parking lot, you easily parked the car before helping Chaeyoung and Mina out. You then locked the car before holding one of the girls’ hands and started to head into the building. It was roughly around 3:37 AM in the morning, you three entered the elevator before you pressed the button to your floor, rubbing your eyes slightly as the doors closed. You glanced over to Chaeyoung who was leaning against Mina “I ran into Dahyun.” You said softly, making the two girls glance at you “Yeah?” Chaeyoung slurred out, you nodded “Had a few drinks, that’s why I handed the poison to you. I couldn’t do it with her nearby.” You mumbled as you leaned against the walls of the elevator “Why so? You could easily and subtly put the poison into the drink, you know?” Mina asked as she pulled Chaeyoung closer
You sighed as you rubbed your head “She’s a detective Mina. She’s also most likely or possibly one of the detectives of the case of our murder schemes you know?” You pointed out that fact, the two girls nodded. The doors finally opened before you helped the two walk over to your shared flat. Grabbing the keys in your pocket before opening the door to reveal a dimly lit apartment, only the kitchen light was on “Nayeonie? We’re back.” You called out as you yawned, closing the door behind you as the girls went ahead to their shared bedroom. You leaned against the door before unconsciously reaching out to your lips where Dahyun had kissed you ‘Fuck.. I just made out with a detective..’ You thought, you closed your eyes before chuckling to yourself ‘Shit, that’s hot.’

A few days have passed. The one who assigned ya’ll the murder paid his promise and everything was back to normal. Not until a notification buzzed from your phone, you checked to see who it was, then your eyes widened. It was Dahyun, who sent you a text message, who asked if you were available to hang out this afternoon “Ohh, looks like someone’s got a date~” Jeongyeon teased from behind making you flustered “Jeongyeonie!” You hid your face as you groaned “It is not a date.” You replied, Jeongyeon rolling her eyes “Keep telling yourself that and you’ll eventually start to fall.” She continued to tease, making you bury your face into your hoodie “Nayeonie, control your girlfriend please.” You pleased for your elder sister, who chuckled at your flustered state “Jeongyeon, I think that’s enough teasing, she’ll blow up if you tease her any more.” Nayeon chuckled as you leaned back against the chair, looking at the message notification that was sitting peacefully on your phone’s roster. “Nayeonie, I’m heading out.” You said, Nayeon looking at you with a teasing smirk “Out for your date?” She asked as you wore a hoodie “Yeah yeah whatever, keep your delusions.” You groaned, grabbing your keys before heading out.
——
You parked the car onto the nearby parking lot before heading into the café. You opened the door and the smell of caffeine instantly hit you, you wandered around for a bit before noticing Dahyun sitting by the booth, she waved at you and you smiled gently. You walked over to the booth before sitting beside her “Hey.” She greeted you ss you chuckled “Hi.” You replied “So.. We skipped a lot of steps, huh?” Dahyun chuckled, you looked at her confused “What do you mean?” You asked, Dahyun looked away shyly. “What I mean is that, we literally made out a few nights ago and I barely even know you.” She looked at you, you hummed “I mean, you did say I was a pretty good kisser.” You teased her, making Dahyun roll her eyes “But I’m serious Y/n.” She said, you sighed as you looked at her “Alright, I guess we did skip some steps.” You mumbled before holding her hand “But it’s never too late to know you now.” Yoh smiled, making her flustered “I guess you do have a point.” Dahyun replied before leaning her head against your shoulder
——
The day was filled with teasing banter, very bad flirting attempts and it led to you and Dahyun walking by the park “So.. I know it’s been like, a few hours since we officially knew each other..” Dahyun whispered as she held your hand “But you feel so much like home.” She continued, you chuckled before looking at a nearby lake “Hm, that’s cute.” You hummed, before you felt Dahyun playfully punch you “Ow?” You yelped as you look at her giggle “Have you ever let someone in?” Dahyun asked, you looked at her confused “Letting in?.. How?” You asked, Dahyun hummed “Letting in, as in have you dated anyone?” She asks, you sigh as you shake your head “I never let anyone in.” You mumbled as you looked away, Dahyun, noticing your gaze wander “So why did you let me?” Dahyun asked, you looked at her slightly baffled, how did she even notice that? “I.. We aren’t.. What..” You stuttered, making Dahyun chuckle “I know dummy.” She hummed before walking ahead of you, leaving you baffled “Hey! Don’t leave me.” You caught up to her, making her giggle and hold your hand once more “Y/n?” Dahyun looked at you, you hum in response “Hypothetically, would you kill someone for me?” Dahyun asked, you looked at her, ‘Does she know?’ You thought before humming “Why would you ask that?” You reply, she shrugged “Just answer.” She said, you pondered for a while before nodding “Yeah, even if it meant going to jail.” You said, too quickly, Dahyun laughed before kissing your cheek “Cute.” She whispered, making you roll your eyes “What do you think of the ring I bought for you?” You asked Dahyun, Dahyun playing with a silver ring, had small diamonds embedded into the sides “It’s beautiful.” Dahyun replied “Thank you again, I thought about buying it for quite a while now.” Dahyun said as she leaned closer to you “No problem, cutie.”

Insan-dong Street, Seoul
Your breath was fogging out of your mouth as you panted, looking at the dead body in front of you. This was not a new sight at all, blood splattered against the floor, rain pouring heavily against you ‘Fuck, it’s cold’ You thought as you tsked out, wiping the blood off your shirt as you cleaned your dagger ‘I have to leave.’ You thought before cleaning up your hands in the pouring rain. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t by your side today. Red and blue lights start flashing, closing in the distance, your eyes widened as you heard the sirens approaching. You tried to run, you really did, but someone had already held your hands behind your back “We caught her!” Said a voice behind you, Chief Jihyo holding you tightly as you squirmed against her restrain “Fuck, let go!” You yelped as you tried to pry your hands away. Detective Momo and Detective Dahyun got out of the police car, Dahyun’s eyes widening at the sight of you “Y/n?” She could only ever mutter as Momo put cuffs on you “So you’re the jerk that’s been behind the murders.” Momo harshly said as the cuffs lock against your wrists, you look away, anywhere but Dahyun.
“Dahyun! We finally caught her! The murderer behind Insan-Dong street!” Momo said victoriously, you could only ever look away. Anywhere, anywhere but those dark brown eyes you grew to love. You never confessed, never told your feelings, in fear of being rejected “Y/n..” Dahyun mumbled as she walked over to you, her hands shaking slightly, Momo noticed “You know her?” Momo asked Dahyun, Dahyun looked at Momo, then back to you, then back to Momo “… Yeah.” She said, almost.. disappointed? “Oh.” Was Momo all ever let out “Dubu I..” You tried but her eyes, are those tears forming?.. “You.. Fuck.” Dahyun looked away as Momo dragged you to the car, pushing you down onto the backseat. All you could ever do was comply, because what can you do? You were weak for Dahyun. Your hands shook as the police drove you away, you don’t know what to think. What would Nayeon think if she found out her little sister got caught? What would Mina react knowing that the person she’s closest with aside from Chaeyoung is behind bars?.. What does Dahyun think now that she knows I’m a murderer?
Dahyun couldn’t say anything on the ride back to the department, Jihyo checking up on her every few minutes as they parked “Okay, no. You haven’t been this silent. It’s been 20 minutes, Dahyun. Spit it out.” Jihyo said as she looked at the backseat, Dahyun looked down, playing with the silver piece of jewelry in her middle finger “.. Y/n, is someone I met a few months ago. She’s the girl that saved me from that persistent man who wanted a date with me. She’s the one who took me back to you and Momo when I got wasted. She took me out on dates, and.. bought me the ring I always wanted.” Dahyun mumbled out “I didn’t expect her to be the one behind the killings.” Dahyun continued as she looked up at Jihyo “I like her too..” Dahyun confessed softly, Jihyo sighing, Momo looking away “We just.. can’t always expect good people.” Momo mumbled “Yeah but..” Dahyun tried to find an explanation but couldn’t.
——
You were sent into an interrogation room, hands bound by the silver cuffs as you sat down onto the black wooden chair, eyes looking tired as you gazed upon Chief Jihyo, who sat on the opposite side of the table. Dahyun and Momo behind the glass of the interrogation room “State your name.” Jihyo firstly started, you closed your eyes “… Lim Y/n.” You mumbled as Jihyo wrote it down “Why did you do it?” Jihyo asked, you looked at her tiredly and with a cold gaze “I ain’t telling you.” You said, Jihyo tsking out “Why did you kill men on Insan-Dong.” Jihyo asked once more, you rolled your eyes before looking away “Why not.” You answered, Jihyo scoffed “Don’t make me bring out Dahyun” Jihyo threatened, you straightened up. Dahyun behind the glass sighing softly “Did she really have to use that?” Dahyun mumbled softly, Momo chuckling “I mean, whatever makes the murderer confess..” Momo replied, Dahyun hummed “Fine fine, whatever.” You tsked out “Because I needed the money.” You replied “It’s not easy having to live off on deals.” You looked away, Jihyo noting it down “I see..” Jihyo hummed before looking at you “And who makes these deals?” Jihyo asked, you sighed “Usually other men who have grudges. There’s no pattern even if you analyze it.” You mumbled, Jihyo noting it down as she nodded, listening to you speak “That’s all, take her away.” Jihyo ordered the guard before Dahyun opened the door.
“Wait, I want to talk to her.” Dahyun said as she looked at you, you looked away, Jihyo sighed before moving to the back of the room “Fine, but I am staying.” Jihyo said with finality laced in her voice. Dahyun sat across from you, you looked away in shame “… Look at me.” Dahyun ordered, reluctantly making you look at those eyes, the eyes that make you weak to your knees, the eyes that will forever hurt your heart “… Why.” Was all Dahyun asked, you close your eyes before speaking “It’s the way I live. I live off deal to deal.” You said as you looked at her “It may not be.. the ideal job, but it keeps me alive, keeps me fed—“ You got cut off by Dahyun “Even if your hands will forever be stained in the blood of the innocent?” She asks, you go silent. They were really innocent.. well, mostly “You don’t know that.” You retaliated “Because the deals weren’t simply just grudges, Dahyun.” You said, Dahyun scoffed “And you expect me to be okay with that?” Dahyun said, you look down “.. No.” was all you muttered out as you look back up to her once more “… Get out of my sight.” Dahyun ordered the guards as she tells you to leave, you knew it was for the better, the guards tightly held each one of your arms as they escorted you out. Dahyun leaned back against the chair as Jihyo sighed “I’ll look into the victims’ records, maybe it’s true the deals are more than just simple grudges.” Jihyo said, Dahyun nodded “Okay..”
——
The guards pushed you into the cell before locking it, completely leaving you alone in the cold. You tsked out before rubbing your wrists where the cuffs had been. This couldn’t get any better, first you got caught, second you can’t even tell Nayeon or anyone, and third Dahyun found out. How can life get any better than this?! You groaned into your hands as you leaned against the wall, shuddering slightly at the cold feeling of the concrete walls. You look down onto your hands, still had a bit of dried blood from the victim you had killed. Until then, only silence could be heard, and the ongoing storm inside your head, and maybe the way you’re crying in silence because the one who stole your heart found out that you are a murderer of 5 men. You then heard the sound of heels clicking against the floor, you look up tiredly
“Look, if it’s another interview, you already got your answers—“
“Shut up if you want to get out of here.”
Dahyun? “Dubu? What are you doing here?” You asked as you stood up, facing her, Dahyun ran a hand through her messy hair “Breaking you out of here.” She mumbled before unlocking the cell, you stood inside of the cold facility looking at her like she was crazy “You do know you’re going to get in trouble?” You said, she nodded “And you do know you’re risking your career for this?” You continued, Dahyun still nodding “Yes, now follow me.” Dahyun instructed, holding your wrist as she led you through tight hallways and secluded dark areas “Dahyun.” You stopped by a near closed off area due to the renovation
“What now.” You heard Dahyun, you rolled your eyes before grabbing her waist “Dahyun, I like you.” You confessed, Dahyun looking at you wide eyed before looking away flustered “You murdered someone tonight and you’re confessing to me?!” She yelped softly, you chuckled “Better late than never.” You shrugged, Dahyun groaning before sighing into your shoulder “.. I like you too.” She confessed softly “Good.” You mumbled before kissing her gently, Dahyun hummed into the kiss as she pulled you closer “I hate you..” She muttered as she pulled away slightly from the kiss “You love me.” You teased, making Dahyun roll her eyes before dragging you “Come on, let’s get out of here.” She said before leading you to the back of the building “.. Try not to get caught again.” Dahyun said as she looked at you before glancing at your hands, sighing “… I know I can’t stop you because it is your source for surviving.” She said softly “But that doesn’t mean I won’t stop trying to catch you.” She winked at you, making you scoff “Fucking hell, Dahyun..” You chuckled, making Dahyun giggle before placing a spare key in your hand “Meet me at my apartment later, I have to put on an acting act back there.” Dahyun said before giving you a chaste kiss “See you later.. murderer.” Dahyun whispered into the kiss before sending you off.
Dahyun rushed inside the building as you hear the chaos slowly rising, you stood there, with the spare key, to Dahyun’s apartment, chuckling softly before running away into the night, not stopping, not even one second. Because if you did, Dahyun would catch you again, and that simple thought thrilled you more than you cared to admit.
“Where is she?! How did she escape?!”
“How the fuck do you lose sight of a young murderer?!”
Panic rises throughout the building as the police department realizes that a murderer had just escaped within their grasp. “Dahyun, check the cameras!” Momo ordered as she went down to get Jihyo, Dahyun rushing over to the cameras, checking her surroundings before deleting some footage from some areas she knew there was a camera. Dahyun then realized that she just gave the spare key of her apartment to a loose criminal, scoffing softly at herself as she felt the empty space in her pocket, ”God, that girl better be grateful..” Dahyun groaned softly but despite all that, Dahyun smiled just a teensy bit, knowing that her criminal girlfriend is on the loose, and probably waiting for her back at her apartment.
——
You unlocked the door to Dahyun’s apartment, quietly going inside before shutting the door behind your back and locking it once more. You made sure no one followed you, even if you were tired and exhausted. You reached out for your phone, texting Nayeon that you’ll be staying over at Dahyun’s apartment for the night before taking your shoes off and heading into the living room. You plopped down onto the couch as you finally rested properly after running for miles and miles from the department. Who knew Dahyun had the courage to bail you out despite knowing that you kill for a living. You chuckled at the sigh of Dahyun unlocking your cell before dragging you into hallways you never knew existed in police departments.
It was around 2:34 AM, You rested on the couch before you heard the door unlocking, you had your guard up slightly before seeing Dahyun’s messy hair, you heard the door close, before seeing Dahyun’s figure “Hey.” You greeted, Dahyun looked at you before you heard a sigh of relief “Thank God..” Dahyun mumbled out before walking over to you “You are an idiot, you know that?” Dahyun said softly as she sat beside you “Mmhm.” You hummed, Dahyun leaning her head against your shoulder “And a lot of explaining to do.” Dahyun continued, you chuckled “I’ll explain it, don’t worry.. For now..” You looked at her as you teased “Did you know that you looked hot bailing me out?” You said softly, Dahyun groaning “Please don’t..” You laughed softly, “Oh, but you were and I can’t help but think.. that I should reward you?.” You looked at her teasingly, Dahyun rolling her eyes before smiling “Whatever, Y/n.” She said softly before kissing you, crawling onto your lap, you sigh as you lean back onto the couch “Fuck Dahyun..” You mumbled out as you felt Dahyun slightly grinding herself onto you against your thigh “Be grateful that I love you.” She mumbled as she pulled away, looking into your eyes “Promise you won’t leave..” She said, vulnerability laced in her voice, you look up to her “I promise, swear on my life..” You replied before giving her a chaste kiss “And promise me.. You’ll stay, no matter what.” Dahyun continued, you nodded “I promise.” You gave her another kiss before hearing Dahyun giggle “Is that your way of sealing a promise?” Dahyun laughed into your lips “Mmhm, damn right.” You said softly before kissing her again.

The Pitt Masterlist | Elixir’s Arcade - Bee’s Entries
Before falling asleep, you were having sex with the mystery woman of your dreams. The two of you hadn’t even exchanged names. You knew nothing about her. It was just supposed to be a mindless hookup to ease your anxiety about your new job. You woke up in your empty bed and groaned. The first thing you remembered was her skin against yours and the way her fingers had been buried deep inside of you. Fuck, it was too early in the morning to be this horny.
Shaking the impure thoughts from your head, you ran a hand over your face and sat up in bed. There was a seed of guilt growing in your chest, but you tried to push it away. The word ‘abomination’ came to mind, and you squeezed your eyes shut. You were a grown woman, and you could sleep with whomever you wanted to. No one else got a say in this. Not anymore.
You took a steadying breath and practiced your grounding skills. Once you’d gathered yourself, you checked the clock and your heart sank. As if your morning didn’t feel discouraging enough, you’d slept in, and you had less than twenty minutes to get out of your apartment. Your shift started at 7:00 am. Luckily for you, you were in walking distance of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center - your new place of work.
As you dashed around your bedroom to get dressed, you noticed a sticky note on your bedside table. Mystery girl must’ve written it. It read: “Thank you for letting me ruin your lipstick”. You remembered the drunken conversation she was referencing, and your face flushed. In the haze of your lust and intoxication, you had begged her to make a mess of your face. Maybe it was a good thing you didn’t have her contact information.
It took a Herculean effort to re-focus your attention on getting ready. You could address the heat between your legs when you got home. For now, you needed to get to the hospital. A few minutes later, you were finally ready to go, and you ran out of the apartment.
Entering the hospital, you saw the small group of fellow residents and a couple of medical students. You made your way over to them, and you were about to introduce yourself when you heard her voice. Halting your steps, you turned around and saw your mystery woman coming through the doors. She was walking with another young doctor with curly hair, and she waved her hands when she spoke. God, those hands.
You attempted to break yourself out of your trance, and you brainstormed how to handle this. It wasn’t like she was your girlfriend. The two of you had only fucked. Was it the best sex that you’d ever had? Maybe, but that wasn’t the point. You needed to be professional. Before you could return to the other doctors, she made her way over to you. It was clear that she recognized you because she paused and looked you over. With a raised eyebrow, she leaned forward and whispered conspiratorially.
“Lipstick girl?”
The nickname accompanied by the memory of her lips on yours made your face flame hot. You felt like a teenager with their first crush. Quickly shaking your head, you gave her your name and watched as she smiled again.
“Beautiful name. I’m Trinity. I would’ve told you that last night, but we were a little preoccupied.”
Thankfully, she’d kept her voice low and was careful not to draw too much attention. The friend that she’d been with was staring you down, though. You glanced at the man and turned back to Trinity.
“Is your friend okay?”
“Oh, Huckleberry? He’s fine. Probably just connecting the dots.”
At the risk of sounding like a loser, Trinity hesitated and debated explaining further. She was quiet for a second before making up her mind.
“I may have talked about you when I got home this morning. Usually, I don’t leave in such a hurry, but I had work.”
“Right. Yeah, that makes sense.”
Jesus, you sounded stiff. You weren’t always an awkward mess, but this woman had seen you at your most vulnerable, and now she was at your new job. That’s when you realized that you hadn’t asked about her position. You shifted on your feet and spoke up again.
“How long have you worked here?”
“Just under a year. It’s a shitshow, but you get used to it. I’m sure you’ll do great. What year are you?”
“I graduated in June, so I’m an R1.”
“Really? Well, congratulations. I’m an R2.”
You were about to thank her when the deep voice of a man made it across the medical bay. The tall, older man stalked over to the two of you and his eyes roved your badge. He must’ve been keeping tabs on new employees because he nodded like he’d recognized your name. Turning his attention to the rest of the residents, he introduced himself.
“I am Michael Robinavitch, but everyone calls me Robby. We have a few new faces with us today, so I’m going to have our established residents give a quick tour of the ED. If you have questions they’re unable to answer, come find me or our charge nurse, Dana. She’s the real captain of this ship.”
With a laugh, he walked away and was already headed to see a patient. That meant that you were left with Trinity and the other new doctors. She turned to her curly-headed friend and gestured in your general direction.
“Let’s divide and conquer. You take the med students and I take the new residents.”
“Why do I get the students?”
“You were a student less than a few months ago. It’s only natural that you become their leader.”
The man, whose badge listed the name Dennis Whitaker, rolled his eyes and groaned. It was clear that he knew Trinity well. It was interesting to see her take charge in the ED. Her energy was similar to how she’d commanded you last night, and it took all of your willpower to focus on your work. Today’s shift was going to last forever.
Many hours later, it was time to go home, and you were grabbing your things from your new locker. You felt the familiar weight of someone’s hand on your shoulder, and you turned around to see Trinity standing there. She noticed your fatigue and nodded sympathetically.
“Today was intense. You didn’t kill anyone, though. Whitaker killed someone on his first day.”
“He what?”
Seeing that you’d taken that statement a little too literally, Trinity burst out laughing and covered her mouth. She pretended to look apologetic and spoke between giggles.
“I’m sorry. You should see your face.”
You were mortified, and your face had turned a deeper shade of red. The amount of blushing that you’d done today was becoming excessive. You were about to speak when Trinity unintentionally cut you off.
“He didn’t actually kill anyone. His first solo patient just had a massive MI and died.”
“Jesus, that’s awful.”
“Yeah, but they say you’re not a real doctor until you lose a patient.”
At Trinity’s words, your mind immediately went to the small handful of patients that you lost while you were still a medical student. You were particularly stuck on the one that you believed was your fault. She’d picked up on this shift in energy and her head cocked to the side. Her voice was softer when she spoke again.
“How many?”
“Four. Mr. Adams had inflamed external hemorrhoids and I sent him home with prescription lidocaine. He was found unresponsive a few hours later, and he bled to death.”
“Fuck. They became thrombosed?”
“Yeah. I’d worked my first double, and I was fucking exhausted. Guess I missed it.”
Now, it was Trinity’s turn to figure out what to say. She wasn’t great at comforting others, at least not in the traditional sense. There was something about you that made her want to try, though. She gently placed her hand on your arm and gave it a light squeeze.
“Shit happens. Everyone’s lost a patient to an error they made. It just means that you’re human, y’know?”
She’d made a valiant effort to relieve your guilt, but part of you would never forgive yourself for what had happened. If you thought hard enough, you could still hear the man’s grieving wife’s screams. Trinity could see that you were still upset, so she offered up another form of comfort.
“If you’re not too tired, you should come over. It’s Dennis’ turn to make dinner. Which probably means he’ll make boxed mac-and-cheese. It’s better than spending all of our money on takeout, though.”
This whole thing had started as a random hookup, and now she was inviting you to eat dinner with her roommate? You blinked hard and nodded quickly. In the least pathetic way possible, you couldn’t get enough of Trinity. Even if it was just dinner with a friend. Your eagerness made her grin and she teased you lightly.
“Careful. You’re gonna make me think you like me or something.”
Again, her teasing had caught you off guard, and you didn’t know how to respond. You opened and closed your mouth like a fish out of water. This made Trinity burst into another fit of giggles and she reassured you.
“Relax, lipstick girl. I like you, too.”
“You know my name, are you still going to call me ‘lipstick girl’ forever?”
Trinity just shrugged unapologetically and motioned you to follow her. Perhaps today wasn’t a total disaster?

this is literally just a random sunghoon x miyeon scenario outside my main book “we can’t be friends” on wattpad 😭
i just wanted to write them in a different universe where sunghoon picks her up from work and suddenly forgets how to act normal because someone was flirting with her and he’s just… yeah. jealous hoon supremacy.
also this is my first time writing smut/suggestive stuff sooo be nice to me pls 😭 i’m still learning how to write tension without making everything explode immediately
this is not connected to the main story at all, just a little side brainrot i couldn’t stop thinking about
anyways… enjoy my mentally unstable couple <3
The office lobby hummed with the quiet energy of quitting time. Sunghoon leaned against the hood of his car, phone in hand, scrolling through messages he'd already read three times. He checked his watch again—7:14 PM. Miyeon was supposed to be out at seven.
Just as he was about to text her, the glass doors slid open. There she was, laughing at something her coworker was saying. Sunghoon's fingers tightened around his phone when he recognized the guy—Minsik from accounting, who always found excuses to talk to Miyeon.
What made his chest tighten was seeing Minsik's hand linger on Miyeon's arm as he spoke, his body angled just a little too close. Miyeon's smile was polite but distant, the one she used when she was being nice but wanted space. Sunghoon knew that smile intimately.
He didn't move. Just watched. Still as a predator observing its territory. The calm before the storm he was about to unleash in the confines of his car.
Finally, Miyeon extracted herself gracefully, waving goodbye as she turned toward the parking lot. When she spotted Sunghoon, her smile transformed into something genuine—the one reserved only for him.
"Sorry I'm late," she said as she reached the passenger door. "Minsik was telling me about—"
Sunghoon didn't respond, just opened her door before she could. His jaw was tight, eyes dark as he slid into the driver's seat. The moment the car doors closed, the silence became thick with everything unsaid.
Miyeon sighed softly, knowing what was coming. She reached over, placing her hand on his thigh. "He was just talking about the quarterly reports, Hoon. Nothing else."
Sunghoon's eyes remained fixed on the road as he pulled out of the parking spot. "He touched you."
"It was just—"
"His hand was on your arm for forty-two seconds," Sunghoon interrupted, his voice low. "I counted."
Miyeon's heart stuttered. Of course he had. Sunghoon noticed everything when it came to her. Especially when other men noticed her too.
"He's harmless," she tried, but her voice lacked conviction.
Sunghoon didn't respond until they were stopped at a red light, turning to face her fully. His eyes were dark with something she knew all too well—possessiveness wrapped in vulnerability, jealousy softened by insecurity.
"You're mine, right?" he asked, the question hanging between them like always when this happened.
Instead of answering, Miyeon leaned across the console, pressing her lips to his. The kiss was soft at first, then deepening as Sunghoon's fingers tangled in her hair, pulling her closer. The car horn behind them made them jump apart, the light having turned green.
Sunghoon accelerated through the intersection, his knuckles white on the steering wheel. "Not here," he said, his voice rough. "Home."
The rest of the drive passed in charged silence. When they finally pulled into his garage, Sunghoon killed the engine but didn't move to get out. He turned to her, eyes searching hers in the dim light.
"Sometimes I wonder," he started, then stopped himself, shaking his head. "Never mind."
"Say it," Miyeon urged softly.
"I wonder if you'd leave me for someone normal," he admitted quietly. "Someone you don't have to hide."
Miyeon's heart ached. For all his quiet confidence, Sunghoon carried this insecurity—their secret relationship, her being his best friend's little sister, the sneaking around—it wore on him more than he let on.
She undid her seatbelt and climbed into his lap, straddling him in the driver's seat. The position was awkward, intimate, perfect.
"Look at me," she commanded gently, tilting his chin up until their eyes met. "There is no one else. There's never been anyone else that made me feel like this. That makes me feel safe and wanted and—"
She was cut off by his mouth crashing against hers, hungry and desperate. His hands roamed her back, pulling her impossibly closer as if she might disappear. The kiss was messy, emotional, everything they couldn't show the world.
"Miyeon," he breathed against her lips, his voice ragged. "I need you."
"I'm right here," she promised, sealing her words with another kiss. "Always."
His fingers slipped under her blouse, tracing the skin of her waist. "Sometimes I hate that I can't take you on proper dates. Can't hold your hand in public. Can't tell anyone how much I love you."
"We have this," she whispered, rocking against him. "This is ours."
Sunghoon's eyes closed, his forehead resting against hers. "I'm sorry I get like this."
"Don't be," she replied softly. "I'd rather have your jealous possessiveness than indifference any day."
A small smile touched his lips. "Even when I'm being an idiot?"
"Especially then," she teased, then sobered. "But you know you have nothing to worry about, right?"
His gaze intensified. "Do I?"
Instead of answering with words, Miyeon showed him. Her hands moved to his belt buckle, deftly undoing it as her lips found that sensitive spot just below his ear. Sunghoon's breath hitched, his hands gripping her hips.
"Here?" he asked, even as he adjusted his seat to give them more room.
"Right here," she confirmed, her voice husky with desire. "Right now."
"You're killing me," he whispered, turning to look at her. His voice was wrecked, thick with want. "Just... get in the backseat."
Miyeon didn't ask questions. She scrambled over the center console, her skirt riding up as she moved, and dropped into the darkened backseat just as Sunghoon killed the lights.
The garage door was already down, plunging them into near darkness, save for the faint glow from the streetlights filtering through the vents. The air smelled of expensive leather and the sudden, heavy tension of two people starved for each other.
Sunghoon didn't hesitate. He kicked the door open and followed her in, collapsing onto the seat beside her. The movement jolted the car, but he didn't care. He pulled her against him, his lips crashing down on hers with a desperate, hungry intensity that took her breath away.
"Mmh—Hoon," she gasped against his mouth.
"Mine," he mumbled against her lips, his hands roaming frantically under her top, his palms burning a path across her skin. "You have no idea how much I needed this."
His usually composed, cool exterior was completely shattered; he was a mess of trembling hands and ragged breathing, worshipping her body like she was made of glass and starlight. He kissed her neck, his tongue tracing the rapid pulse in her throat, nipping gently at the sensitive skin, drawing a soft moan from her lips.
"God, Miyeon," he groaned, his voice rough. "You smell so good."
He pushed her back against the seat, spreading her legs with his knees, his hands sliding up her thighs to cup her through her panties. The fabric was damp, and the contact made them both shudder.
"Look at me," Sunghoon commanded softly, his fingers hooking into the waistband. "I want to see you when I make you come."
Miyeon nodded, her eyes fluttering open to meet his dark, intense gaze. He was gentle in his dominance, but the desperation in his eyes made him terrifyingly effective.
He slid her panties aside, his thumb circling her clit with agonizing precision. "You're so wet for me," he whispered reverently, as if he were admiring a masterpiece. "Do you know what you do to me? Every time you smile, I get hard. Every time you laugh..."
He lowered his head between her thighs, his breath hot against her skin. "I'm going to eat you alive, Miyeon. I'm going to memorize the taste of you."
He didn't give her time to adjust. He kneeled down in the cramped space. His mouth was on her immediately, his tongue licking a bold, wet line from her entrance to her clit. Miyeon cried out, her back arching off the leather seat, her hands tangling in his dark hair.
Sunghoon worshipped her. He treated her body like the most precious thing in the world, his tongue and fingers working her with a focused, desperate rhythm that had her seeing stars. He made little sounds of approval against her skin, humming as he tasted her, as if he were starving and she was the only food that would satisfy him.
"Please," she begged, her legs trembling around his shoulders. "Hoon, please."
Sunghoon groaned, the sound vibrating against her thigh as he pulled back just enough to catch his breath. His eyes were dark, dilated, completely consumed by her. He looked wrecked, just like she felt, and the sight of him—flushed, hair messy, lips glistening from her—almost made her come again.
"God, Miyeon," he breathed, his voice rough with unshed desire. "You taste like heaven."
He didn't give her time to recover. He got up and sat himself on the seat, pulling her on his lap while pulling out a condom from his back pocket. His hands trembled as he finally undid his belt and pushed his pants and boxers down just enough to free himself. He rolled on a condom with clumsy, desperate fingers, and Miyeon watched him, her chest heaving.
He positioned himself between her thighs, his hands bracketing her head as he leaned down. The car smelled of them now—her arousal and his scent, musky and overwhelming.
"I'm going to be so good to you," he promised, his forehead resting against hers. "I promise. Just tell me what you need."
"Need you," she choked out. "Need you inside me."
Sunghoon smiled—a small, tender expression that made his face look boyish before it was overtaken by the heat in his gaze. He guided himself to her entrance, the tip nudging against her wetness. He was big, heavy and thick, and the stretch as he pushed in was deliciously painful.
He pushed slowly, inch by agonizing inch, watching her face the entire time. "You're so tight," he whispered reverently. "So perfect. I'm going to memorize every inch of you, Miyeon. Every curve, every sound, every way you squeeze me."
When he was fully seated, buried deep inside her, they both froze, trying to catch their breath. Sunghoon rested his forehead against hers, his hands tracing her jaw, her neck, her collarbone, as if he was afraid to touch her too roughly.
"You feel so good," he murmured, his hips twitching slightly, testing the waters.
Then he began to move. Slowly. Deeply. He wasn't rushing; he was worshiping her body, treating her like the fragile, precious thing she was to him. Each thrust was measured, hitting her exactly where she needed it, sending sparks of pleasure shooting through her spine.
"You're mine," he said again, his voice dropping to a growl as he picked up the pace just a fraction, his hips rocking against hers with a steady, relentless rhythm. "No one else can see you like this. No one else can hear you sound like this."
Miyeon's hands clawed at his back, her nails digging into his skin as she arched up to meet him. "Hoon—" she gasped, her head falling back against the seat. "Yes, just like that."
He leaned down to capture her mouth, swallowing her cries, his tongue tangling with hers in a desperate, messy kiss. He kissed her like he was starving, like she was the only thing that mattered in the world. His hands roamed her body, squeezing her breasts, tracing the lines of her waist, memorizing her.
"You're so beautiful," he breathed against her lips. "You're so beautiful when you look at me like that."
He reached between them, his fingers finding her clit again, rubbing it in time with his thrusts. "Come for me, Miyeon. I want to see you fall apart."
The added friction was too much. Miyeon’s vision blurred, her back bowing off the leather seat as she shattered around him. Her walls clenched tight around his cock, milking him, and Sunghoon hissed, his hips snapping forward one last time.
"Mine," he roared, his hands gripping her hips tightly as he came, filling her up with hot, heavy bursts of release. He stilled, his forehead resting on her shoulder, his body shaking as he rode out his orgasm.
He held her close, burying his face in the crook of her neck, taking deep, shaky breaths as he held her. "I love you," he whispered against her skin, his voice thick with emotion. "So much. You have no idea how much I love you."
"I know," she whispered back, running her fingers through his hair, tugging gently. "And I love you too, you big baby."
Sunghoon lifted his head, his eyes soft and loving as he looked at her. He kissed her forehead, her nose, her lips, all with a tenderness that made her heart swell.
"You're everything," he said softly. "Everything."
The windows of the car began to fog as they lost themselves in each other, secret touches and whispered promises filling the small space. Outside, the world went on unaware, but inside their little bubble, there was only Sunghoon and Miyeon and the certainty that they belonged to each other completely.
The car was filled with the quiet sounds of their heavy breathing, the only proof of what had just happened. Sunghoon pulled out slowly, and Miyeon winced slightly at the sensation of emptiness. Sunghoon noticed instantly. He didn't pull away completely; he held her close, pressing soft, apologetic kisses to her shoulder as he grabbed the tissues from the glove compartment.
"I'm sorry," he murmured, his voice thick with regret. "Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?"
He cleaned her with careful, deliberate motions, his eyes never leaving her face, as if checking for any sign of distress. His thumb brushed over her cheekbone, his touch feather-light. "You're so sensitive," he whispered reverently. "You're so perfect for me."
He discarded the soiled tissue and pulled her back against his chest, wrapping his arms around her waist. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent deeply, like a man marking his territory.
Later, as they lay tangled in the back seat, Miyeon traced patterns on Sunghoon's chest.
"You know," she said softly, "if you ever feel insecure, you could just kiss me like that instead of getting all quiet and broody."
Sunghoon's arms tightened around her. "I'll keep that in mind."
"Good," she murmured, pressing a kiss to his collarbone. "Because you're mine too, Park Sunghoon. Remember that."
His response was a soft kiss to her forehead, then her lips, then her neck—worshipping her as he always did when his heart felt too full of emotion to contain.
"Always," he whispered against her skin. "Always yours."
"I could stay here like this forever," he sighed, his hands stroking her sides in slow, soothing circles. "Just you and me in the dark. No one else."
Miyeon in his arms, her fingers tangling in his sweaty hair as she looked up at him. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," she said softly.
Sunghoon kissed her again, slow and deep, tasting himself on her lips. It was messy and affectionate, a quiet acknowledgment of everything they shared. When he pulled back, he looked at her with such intense adoration it made her heart ache.
"You're my everything," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "I'd burn the world down just to keep you safe. Just to keep you mine."
He helped her rearrange her clothes, his hands lingering on her hips, her waist, before pulling his own pants back up. The car was still dark, the silence between them heavy but comfortable.
"You've got marks on your neck," he murmured, his finger tracing the hickey he'd left there a while ago. "And on your shoulder. I should have been more careful."
Sunghoon reached up to kiss the spot gently, a soft, chaste kiss that spoke volumes. "But I like them," he confessed. "They're proof. Proof that you're mine."
He opened the car door and stepped out, offering her his hand to help her up. As she climbed out, he kept a firm grip on her hand, his fingers interlacing with hers, refusing to let go.
"Come on," he said, leading her toward the house. "Let's get you warmed up. And then," he glanced at her with a wicked, possessive glint in his eyes, "I'm never letting you go to work alone again."
Miyeon squeezed his hand, a smile playing on her lips. "Deal."
They walked inside, the two of them connected by touch, hearts racing, and secrets kept safe in the dark.
