Twinkie Update: Twinkie is home and recovering in her padded crate away from the other kitties so she doesn't jump and try to run and play. She's high on pain meds and sleeping a lot, but also has a very healthy appetite. My sister was super sweet and got her a @suitical surgical suit since she's houdini and likes to get out of her cone within a couple of minutes of having it on. I'd definitely use them again! I'll have her biopsy results early next week, so please keep her in your thoughts, prayers, good vibes, etc for no cancer. Please. Special thanks to all the fans and friends that have reached out to ask about her. It amazes me how many step up to show how much they care in one's time of need, when those closest that you think would and should, literally walk away. Confessions of Binx and Cone of Shame

So my furball is a snuggle bug and he literally kept putting my face or head to join him in this cone. So much so he climbed up my pillows to do so the other morning. Clearly he wanted me to be annoyed just as much as he has been lol

This wasn’t exactly ideal. So I found alternatives and he is much happier cone free. Luckily he likes clothes so this was an easy thing to get on him instead. Also believe it will help with the swelling.

I was so worried on Friday night at what seemed to be abnormal swelling and increased by morning , no I didn’t sleep I stayed up panicked he had ripped internal stitches somehow and was bleeding internally so I rushed him back to vet on Saturday after calling concerned if I should bring him in or not.

Inital notice 12 hours later

Since they hadn’t told me what was normal in healing process I was concerned and it felt like a balloon underneath. Turns out bladder swelling in healing is normal and that the stitches are healing wonderfully. At least the trip wasn’t pointless they had forgotten to give me his gabapentin when I had picked him up so I got that back at least. Which considering his last dose of the other pain med ran out that morning it was ideal timing. It’s better to have a false alarm then think he’s fine and actually not be at all right ?

Took the cone of shame off and he is rocking this suit by suitical it’s a post surgery recovery suit alternative to the cone of shame.

I had no problem getting it on, pricey a bit but worth it at this point what’s more $$ lol I had to measure him to pick the right size

He is the smallest size apparently kittens are his size aha. Forever my fur baby. It only came in one print so it wasn’t my first choice but it was the best designed one I found out there on amazon he wouldn’t easily get out of or irritate the stitches.

Day two of the outfit. Has him talking and waking me up insistent. Did get him to sleep in another two hours from when he wanted me to get up hah but I’m happy I got my cuddle bug chatterbox back. Now for that fur to grow back in .....

Freddie loves his new @suitical camo ensemble! We don’t really post about it but #freddiespaghetti has an unexplained neuropathy that causes him to walk low on his back legs and his hair has never grown back from his diagnostic ultrasounds and other procedures some 6 mns later? He still has a great sense of humor and loves to play with our other pets especially #Cosmotheschipperke. According to our kitty acupuncturist she has never been able to get as many needles in to a feline - 14 is his record now, champ. Freddie has not been definitively diagnosed and while he has also lost a lot of weight, he is actually walking up higher on his legs again. Yay! We credit acupuncture, rides around the house and loving doting. Neuropathy issues are perplexing and we worry about him getting chilly even though he is a cat. So we ordered this #suitical with the intention of it being a warming and therapeutic, neuro-calming sleeve. He seems to really like it. Purr, purr, purr... And we feel better too. Fits perfectly, size XS for a very thin 15” long cat. We got fleece pjs for him at the same time but this is an overall better suit for coverage, comfort and litter box freedom.
