ZHULI:
Zhuli, a reserved yet fierce barn owl, born also from a family of rich nobles and warlords. Zhuli has her own battle history, and has fought alongside Jiang—which is primarily how they met. in expecting their child, Zhuli has stepped out from the battle zone and now focuses on wanting to raise her daughter. Despite praising her daughter’s achievements in learning self-defense, she worries over Peiling growing more interest in joining her father’s army. Such a position is much too high risk for the young girl. She insists for Peiling to stay home where she’s safe.
When Peiling was a child, her mother was killed while trying to fight off enemy clan raiders, they ordered her to surrender and give away their daughter’s location. Zhuli bravely refused, but it costed her life. This gave Peiling a deeper reason to fight for a cause.
Jiang is heavily impacted by his wife’s death, as he becomes more determined to train his daughter.
PEILING:
Peiling is an active and spiritually bright young girl. In wanting to follow her father’s footsteps in the battlefield, she turns away from being a poised, noble lady. She is fascinated by the art of sword fighting, as for her father has shown her his skills. this awakens the girl’s true passion. throughout her childhood, she’s grown more attached to becoming a warrior and even joining her father’s army.
In her teen years, Peiling has become fairly proficient in her swordfighting and self-defense skills. She’s proven herself to be a rather skilled warrior, and has even helped her father fight off pirates, thieves in the city. But, in turning 17, she was ready, to further prove herself—in joining a real battle. Jiang was currently trying to fight enemy clans attempting to occupy his land, and he turned to Peiling, who was not hesitate to back down on this offer. Deep inside, Jiang had a feeling that this was much too dangerous for a young girl. But, in the end it was his pride and honor that clouded his heart from stopping himself. And, it was that decision that would lead him to feeling directly responsible for the eventual death of his daughter.
yeah it’s pretty sad that i made characters to kill them off TuT 3 but, i had to give my boy jiang some heavy emotional baggage, I had to give his backstory some JUICY trauma. and you guys KNOW we love to traumatize our ocs. DEFINTELY MORE TO COME.
