#sunset run

I squeezed a run in after work. I won't get to run tomorrow, there is a bit happening around here. I got out the door pretty smartly and headed for the new trail. The new trail is pretty rough but I made it through and ran down the beach. There were some big waves rolling in but there was enough sand for my little feet to run. It was pretty cold even the soccer kids had gone home by the time I got back to the park.

Happy Halloween!

Absolutely nothing Halloween-related happening for me today bc Matthew is at work 3pm-10pm, so we just went for a walk in the rain this morning, had the last of my butternut squash soup for lunch, and then I went back out for a lovely sunset run bc the sky cleared up after a really dark rainy day. Unfortunately, everyone else in my area also flocked out when the sun came out so all the paths were really busy and there was a lot of stopping / walking to pass people, hence the crappy and inconsistent pace. But the goal today was really just to get out for some fresh air and exercise and I did that so I'm calling it a win! And I really like that the Nike app has a little achievement for running on Halloween 😄

Second weekday run this week! This cold, damp air is killer on my lungs, especially on top of the chest cold I can’t shake, but getting out and moving was still worth it. And it was a beautiful night!

Super excited for tomorrow, since it’s Valentine’s Day and my kids are screening the documentary films they’ve been making and doing geography valentines for extra credit. It’s going to be a good Friday.

Runs lately! I've just been doing whatever lately, and it's been good! Feeling good and enjoying lots of easy runs 😊 I felt really good running tonight, it was a little warmer out than it has been which felt nice! And I just trotted along listening to my music and jamming out 🏃🏼‍♀️ I am very ready for thanksgiving break. Even though I just had a vacation I could use another break haha 2 more days! Happy Monday!

my apartment had a power outage so i was forced to get some studying done and ended up reading more than i expected. since the weather cleared up today, i decided to go for a run at the park next to where i live and also did some leg workouts outside. it felt soooo good to go outside and breathe in the fresh air. it really does improve one's mood. hope everyone is having a lovely weekend 💞

I had to go and buy some more packing boxes on my way home from work. I still had time to fit in a five k once we got home. I had to scoot though as the sun was setting fast. I think tonight’s five k is my fastest this year.

Happy Monday!

I was in a foul mood at work bc of the schedule change - but I spoke to my manager at the end of my shift and it turns out he'd made loads of changes to several people's shifts on Friday and notified us in the work Whatsapp group which I hadn't been added to, so it's still him in the wrong for not adding me as soon as I was hired but we were given a little notice so at least I know it wasn't just him trying to sneakily fuck me over. In fact he even said he would not do that (I don't believe him lmao but at least he understands that to this extent of me suddenly working 6 days instead of 3, that would be a dick move). So I felt much better at the end of my shift having brought it up, gotten my answer and a solution in place - deputy manager finally added me to the group chat. If anything I felt guilty bc I'd been working pretty sluggishly bc I was so angry, and I wished I'd spoken to him at the start of my shift so I would have felt better sooner but never mind, I have every other day of the week to make up for it 😂

When I left the air was still lovely and warm and the sky was gorgeous so I got my shorts on straight away and went out for a run to let off some steam. It definitely worked - I was running a bit faster than what would have been a comfortable pace the whole way, my music was great and the sky was beautiful (I stopped to take a photo but annoyingly it didn't save ☹). So I felt a million times better after. It feels like it's been forever since I got the proper urge to go for a run and it was so lovely not to have to force myself out!

I was in such a crappy mood all day today until funnily enough I went to work and cheered up when I put my customer service head on. Finished at 8pm, drove home, scoffed a few brazil nuts while I got changed and went straight out for a beautiful run chasing the sunset. Pretty crappy pace bc I spent the last km running / walking back and forth along my street trying to make it up to 6km, but it was a nice cool down. Feeling super grateful, nothing beats a sunset run at home ❤
