Hi! How have you been doing? I hope everything's going well ☺️ If you're up to be doing requests, I've been trying to show some compassion to my younger self. How would you like to write something with Alucard and a girlfailure?

A girl who's quiet, unsociable and painfully shy but not in a cute way- in a "🧍‍♀️" kind of way. Sitting alone in the bus, deliberately, to avoid getting rejected, kind of way. You compliment her, she tries to say 'thank you' but stutters it so disastrously, she just stares blankly ahead and walks away to scream into her pillow. She tries to socialize and rambles 'fun facts" about bugs endlessly (she just looked them up, isn't that cool).

A girl who is resentful of her peers due to jealousy and a lack of belonging (she'd never admit it). Someone who claims to be above popularity - but will actually fold under a bit of praise. Above romance but will actually start writing cheesy embarassing love poems in her head the moment someone shows interest.

There's a place in this world for akward girls and they'll find it! But it helps to be shown some love.

Alucard with a Girlfailure!Reader

Being under the gaze of someone like Alucard is never easy for an individual like you.

Most people would be intimidated by this ethereal, gorgeous, strong, intelligent, otherworldly, literal living myth, tower of a man.

You? You're petrified.

You try your best to shake it off with the usual "He's a person too" and "Everyone has flaws". But yeah, a bit difficult when we're talking about a vampire lord with several heroics under his belt.

Compared to you, who avoids people like they'll give you a fatal disease, who already decides someone's opinion of you before they even speak, who can't even accept the little praise she gets without assuming the worst of the person giving it.

You are a disaster at socializing. It's either staring blankly and never taking the opportunity to speak or rambling about bugs or anything that comes to your head at nauseum, before curling up later and wondering why you talked that long like anyone cared enough to listen.

You craved attention from peers but never initiated anything, thought to yourself "who needs notoriety?" but burst into tears when Alucard complimented all the bug houses you built.

Poems? What are those? You have eight hundred laying in a stash somewhere.

At times, you really wish you were the "cute" failure that's considered more palpable. A bit flawed or clumsy but still perfect so no one had to put in effort to like you or maintain a healthy relationship with you. Easy.

Nope. You were a mess and people hated messes. You hate your own mess.

Though, somehow, Alucard took all that and strapped in for all you had to improve on and reaffirming the parts that didn't ever need changing to begin with.

Alucard acknowledges your flaws and cares enough to tell you when they are hurting you and others, when you push too much or are withdrawing from things you have to confront, even to be angry with you when it's warranted.

But also, he cares enough to say when you're doing something right, that not everything has to be some standard, you don't have to be more social than you are comfortable with, that yes- you can infodump about bugs or whatever else and you don't need to be "contained" to be a person.

Alucard gives you a reliable balance of knowing you can approach him and be yourself and encouraging you to not solely rely on his comfort.

While it can sting at times, you feel way more confident and kind to your own shortcomings- perceived or otherwise- than you have before. And that's something.

Oh boy I've never gotten an ask like this before, let's see. And thanks! Watched the first episode last night and am watching the second tonight!

Charlie Morningstar: Pro-endo but in like. The most accepting way possible. Super anti-harassment and does her best to be civil to the antis and try to get through to them while protecting her endo friends.

Vox: No syscourse stance, he's just a syscourse troll. He does a lot of "devil's advocate" to piss people off and is purposefully inflammatory

Vaggie: No stance but not super into syscourse. Highly anti-misinformation she usually only posts to clear up aggravating rumors and the like and just spam-reblogs from Charlie

Sir Pentious: Recovering radical anti. Still has hold-ups about the whole thing but he's working on trying to take everyone in good faith.

Alastor: Anti-endo but nuanced. Mostly keeps quiet unless a point can support his opinion and knowledge, only engages in debates he knows he can win and likes to twist other people's words to make him seem like he has the high-ground.

Three OTP Questions

Since you did two that means I can get away with it, right? Right. This'll be for Solas and Kida, closest pair I have for an OTP, and for another ship that just won't stop sailing.

1. How Did They First Meet?

Soda: Technically, for their first meeting Kida wasn't conscious. It was after the explosion at the Conclave, while she was being held in custody. She has a very vague memory of falling in and out of sleep, of seeing a pale blur of a man sitting with her and the feeling of cool hands. A strangely comforting presence on the edge of her dreams is her only concrete memory.

Kim: Kida and Cam'helin met in a dirty back-alley in Tevinter. Kida had originally went in to save an elven child, and she was too distracted to notice that one of the slavers was still alive. Cam'helin saved her life with a well-aimed shard of ice.

2. What Do They Think of Each Other At First?

Soda: I can't imagine Solas thinking too much of her, other than perhaps pitying her a bit and believing that it was his fault that she was entangled in the mess he caused. She was a mage with watchful eyes, a Dalish elf that he most likely lumped together with other Dalish. At first. As for Kida, she had about as much interest in him as everyone else she had met (mildly curious), until he began to explain his research into the rifts and the Anchor. She found his knowledge fascinating, and while she was skeptical of how accurate his information was, she hoped that she would have a moment of quiet to speak to him properly.

Kim: Cam'helin found her exceedingly interesting from what he'd heard before meeting her, and that interest and curiosity only grew when they met. Along with the admiration. He thought she was being intentionally short with him, though he expected it, and somehow that just slightly endeared her to him. Kida, though she appreciated his assistance in keeping her alive, quickly found him to be annoying. He'd truly done nothing to deserve her ire, being respectful and kind, she'd simply been alone for too long.

3. Were they immediately interested/attracted or did that come later? 

Soda: It was far from Solas' mind when they first met, there were more important things to think of. What caught his attention was that she stood up for him, proclaiming with eyes bright and sharp with steel that she would stop them however she had to, if it came to that. She was curious, listening intently when he spoke of the Fade and spirits, firing questions lighting fast. She had a hold on him before he could try to stop it. For Kida, she simply looked at him as a friend at first, not realizing until the attack on Haven and him finding her after the avalanche that she had fallen quite hard. She was hesitant at first, wondering whether it was something she should act on, but she was never one not to acknowledge what she was feeling.

Kim: He never let it show, but Cam'helin thought she was lovely from the moment he saw her. Romantic feelings were off the table however, that wasn't what he was there for, it wasn't something he was supposed to entangle himself in. But he was awful at fighting his feelings and the first time he made her laugh he knew what he'd stepped in. For Kida it was the farthest thing from her mind. She noticed Cam'helin's looks of course, knew that he could easily charm anyone he wanted to and acknowledged that, but never thought further on it. Her heart was broken, still shattered and held by Solas, she never thought she'd love again. It took months, but she learned how wrong she was.
