Genuinely interesting contrast to the seemingly more community-oriented Kents (and the seclusion of the Waynes is even before this version of Kal-El develops any kind of patterns).
I like the idea that the Waynes were recluses (after having Bruce in any case) in general, and this deepened the impact and explains the reaction of the Manor's inhabitants after their loss.
