#supplemental instructor

I'm a supplemental instructor (SI), which is like a tutor, but for groups of students rather than one on one. I am an SI for math (a subject I love). Last term I only ever put questions on the board for students to solve, but I'm getting done with it. Here's method one to keeping the love alive

Got called/emailed for two job interviews in one day. Went from worried about not finding a job to nervous about my upcoming interview. Kinda nervous about one of them because I was supposed to get an email with forms to fill out, and I haven't gotten it. It just means it'll be awkward at my interview when I say I never got the email with those forms.

Amanda really knows what she is doing and knows the course very well.

Our SI was really good, her assessments helped a lot and I recommend everyone to go everyday because believe it or not it raises your grade a letter grade.

The SI was really helpful but it's just the matter of fact of the student.

The SI's are the reason I am passing this class, with out it, I would not be passing this summer course.

The assessments have helped a lot for the exams, I loved that Amanda was willing to stay longer to help us before the tests.

the si amanda is amazing she helped through the tests explained what dr herzog didn't went into full detail and she takes her time she explains more in an hour to understand more than dr herzog does in two hours

People Who Inspire

Is it bad that I want to be my SI's (Supplemental Instructors) best friend? She is one of the nicest people I know, and I think that she is a genius. I like how she is such a school oriented person and I think that knowing her has made me a little better in the school department. I mean I've never been a bad student, but if you categorize me as a good student, you'd need to consider her a phenomenal student. Just knowing her makes me want to try harder and be my best. I know she is leaving ESU after this semester but I hope we're still friends. I also hope she doesn't think that I am a pest or that I just talk to her to get information on things, it's just she knows so much and I want to learn from her and not only know what she knows but get her perspective on things. I've never really looked up to anyone academically but now that has changed, if someone were to ask me who inspires me to be my best I'd have to list her. Dr. Hodge was right Abby is a SuperWoman, and I just hope she knows it. I also hope she never lays eyes on this because even though we talk and everything she'd probably think I was a crazy person.
