He shouldn’t have turned up in her hotel room, but he just couldn’t stay away. He was staying in the same hotel, but had ended up at her room instead of his own. His gaze never left hers. She was beautiful, sexy, like a drug to him. He hadn’t meant to ruin her marriage but he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Derek and he had grown up together, he had known him for years, he hadn’t wanted to hurt him but it was Addison Montgomery-Shepherd. There was no staying away from her.
“You don’t want me to go.” He told her, his head tilted to the side as he assessed her. He was right, he knew he was. It took him seconds to make his next move. Stepping over the threshold, taking Addison’s face in his hands and pressing his lips to hers. “Tell me to leave.” He told her as he pulled back.
It was a TERRIBLE idea. Much like it had been a terrible idea the first time around, and not just because it had ruined her marriage. If Addison was being honest, the she had to admit that her marriage had already been ruined long before Mark had come into the picture as someone more than their friend. Still, it was a terrible idea, because she wasn’t usually one for one night stands. They were nice, every now and then, but Addison enjoyed being in a relationship, she enjoying being LOVED and while Mark adored her, he surely wasn’t in love with her.
“You know I can’t.” She eventually sighed, glancing at him once he had pulled back from the kiss. “But where is this supposed to lead up?” Addison shook her head. “I followed Derek, you followed me, and now we’re all just...stuck here.”
