can you do 16 through 19 for alistair?
I will never shy away from asks about Alistair. ;D16. Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’
Alistair doesn’t strike me as the kind of person who would have literal dark secrets, aside from the dark secrets that all Grey Wardens are privy to. Still, I think he would claim to have “dark secrets,” and then confess to something as heinous as having vandalized several portraits of Andraste when he was at the monastery by drawing mustache’s on them.
17. Regrets
Is everything a good answer? I think that Alistair is fairly conscientious of what he says and how his words and actions affect others, but he sometimes talks faster than he thinks and he reacts on emotion rather than logic. He probably regrets a lot of things he says in small interactions, like making remarks about how much the warden is eating or for raising his voice when he disagrees with a decision someone has made. I also think there are many big regrets he has as well. He regrets not being on the battlefield at Ostagar, even though he realizes he would be dead if he had been. This one may be controversial, but I think that as he matures, he likely regrets his insistence upon executing Loghain. He is not callous and he no doubt he feels guilty for not offering him a second chance as Duncan would have.
18. Things they’ll never admit.
He’ll deny it out right if asked, but he’s lactose intolerant. He’d also deny that Morrigan grows on him as they journey together. She isn’t his favorite person, but he respects her. Once the group has parted ways, he occasionally finds himself thinking about how she would have taken a jab at him for something he does or says. He misses bickering with her.
19. People they’ve hurt or indirectly killed, and how it affected them. The first person that comes to mind is Hawke, potentially, depending on the world state of course. I think a Warden Alistair would beat himself up about Hawke sacrificing him/herself for a problem the Warden’s caused. He would feel personally responsible for the pain and anguish Varric and Hawke’s loved one’s experience.
