#7 Attack w/ @witches-and-weirdos
"Waaaait, Franchesca? You don't look like a Franchesca, isn't that not even a name here?"
'E-Eto?!'
The woman turned to the witch in confusion, unsure where the question had even come from. Its not as if she had told her such a thing....so how would she know?? Had she left her journal out? Had the Raven stolen a page?!
'It's...not a name I use...nor did I chose it...' She clearly looked a little uncomfortable, compiling her words.
'It's....more symbolic, or that's how it was told to me. 'Hart' was my father's contribution....and Francesca was my mother's....Sky was the name they both agreed on....apparently.'
She glanced to the side, a hang going to the back of her neck.
'...It probably should have been left in the past...but to forget a part of my mother? That would be foolish, in every sense of the word.'
Svalek is organizing small smooth pebbles of similar shapes into two concentric circles, then starts hopping around them and occasionally caws at them or makes small adjustments. They must be perfect.
The raven lands before her and approaches her takoyaki with ill intent, one menacing foot steps after the other, but then he stops and looks up at the woman like an ancient devil with a plan.
"Smell good."
He declares, purplish-black eyes holding contact like only a few men could. One step forward again, then another, claws raise and tap at the wood at the rhythm of fingertips, then between two taps a coin shines suddenly, which hadn't been there before, and with that feet, it is slid forward. An antique piece of silver from a great empire which crumbled six thousand years ago, the kind of trinket a collector would kill to get.
"Trade."
The woman had one of the takoyaki on a stick, about to bite into the warm snack before she noticed the raven, eyes widening slightly.
What in the Hell's was that thing doing here?!
She followed it's every move, holding the stick close to her almost defensively. It still irked her the bloody thing could talk, yet the Witch's pet had proven time and time again it was smarter than it looked...and it would do so here...again.
The woman eyed the silver piece, not recognising the coinage. For all she knew, it could have been a knock-off, a counterfeit that no other merchant would willingly accept.
....And yet....would the bird know the difference?
She pouted for a moment, only to sigh in defeat. She couldn't help but smirk at the gesture, offering the stick to the creature.
'Trade.'
Describe Me!
'Overly flirtatious... yet a kind and knowledgeable witch. I.... know we didn't exactly get off on the right foot, but I appreciate your bluntness at times. It's... needed in some circumstances.' There was an awkward chuckle.
'Svalek still scares me, mind you-'
Svalek is alone and he's eating you food, what do you do?
Zinniya is 10 but the raven scares me @the-storm-chaser
Send “They’re a 10, but..” and fill in the rest to call out my muse! @the-storm-chaser
"Oh don't let my boy stop you Sky! He can behave when he has to, can't you Svalek?"
"I did not scare her."
"I didn't say you did." She turns back to Sky. "He's a delight when you get to pet him!"
The raven stares Sky directly in the eyes and hops closed. "You may."
@undyingmedium
The bird gobbles for a few more seconds, then stops for a moment and stares at her. "Zinnya is good! She gives. But I hunt! You eat too!" He pulls off a piece of meat from the bone, walks a few funny steps closer and lays it down on the table for her. "We share. I can give you things later. You like shiny ear things, and rings. I can bring you." He nods twice, as if already given an answer of agreement, then hops back onto the plate and continues destroying its contents.
