I think it's a little crazy I've seen nobody in the fandom back then mention how lowkey kind of scary Patton's breakdown was in SVSR. Sure there's a lot of jokes and references to cut the tension there but when you think about it and also listen to what Patton is saying, it's genuinely kind of scary especially coming from someone like him.

"I don't know the right answer here, it's up to you !" THE WAY HE SAYS THAT LINE LIKE PATTON CHILL.

It kind of reminded me of Steven Universe Future and Steven's breakdown funnily enough (time isn't real so I don't know if that happened before or after the episode came out).

Anyways, this scene imo kinda puts into question the dark side's status as being dangerous because if PATTON did this then wouldn't it be unfair to seperate the dark sides so strongly ?

Kinda tired so maybe I'll get into more later but it makes me sad this fandom just has never really analysed Patton more deeply outside of just making him evil for no reason. He's a complex man ! He's got his layers !

We have to remember that this is an Asides episode. When the TS team eventually post the next Sanders Sides episode, it will most likely take off from SVSR and not this. Meaning, we probably won’t hear much of this issue with Logan and Orange and instead focus where SVSR left off -- with Janus, Patton, and Roman (emphasis on Roman). 

But it won’t be surprising if there are a bit of hints from the Asides that appear in the next Sanders Sides like say, Virgil and Roman being on much better terms than we’re used to or Logan acting a bit more agitated than usual. Maybe we’ll get treated to more hints from Orange (or perhaps Orange himself?👀).

After watching the new @thatsthat24 video I just am in nothing but emotional pain and also joy and I have so many words but also am speechless help.

SPOILERS FOR THE VIDEO AHEAD

Here are some of the wonderful things my brain is not forgetting about this and what my fav parts were

-Logan just summoning deceit like that had me shook

-“Oh Thank god you don’t have a mustache, otherwise between your and Remus I wouldn’t know who the evil twin is”

-Janus

-Janus taking off the glove to prove it wasn’t a lie

-Roman’s meltdown

-“you think ya know someone and then wham out of no where they fill your apartment with feral cats?”

-Deceit and Patton getting along the best out of everyone so far

-Patton legitimately asking Janus for advice

-Janus straight up saying the truth that Patton wouldn’t

-“this is sanders sides not Odom sides. I’m not threatened at all”

-the end card scene where Patton looked like he needed to just hug Janus as they both sat there in semi defeat but also reassured each other

-Patton admitting he was scared to make Thomas scared when he doesn’t know something

-Janus somehow nicely and discretely saying I told you so non-verbally

-Patton going to check on Roman

-“Oh that’s cool talk about me like I’m not here” except it didn’t hurt anyone

-“Janus?” “I’ll take care of him...”

-“you’re not stuck with an evil snake boi... you’re just stuck with a snake boi”

-“you’re right” “I’m sorry what was that I couldn’t hear you?” “YOURE RIGHT” “AHHHH YES HA! IT FEELS SO GOOD! SO GOOD!”

-“when is it enough?”

“Trees?”
