SFO-->JKF-->GVA
It's currently 11:00 pm in Geneva, and here are some things I've learned during my flights & first day in Switzerland:
1. I'm in love with Swiss milk
2. I'm for sure living in NYC for a part of my life
3. I'm that person on the plane who will constantly try to create conversation with you until you feel comfortable
4. "If you love cheese and chocolate, you'll survive in Switzerland"
5. I could listen to French all day, so beautiful the sound. Top 3 most used words today: sava (fine), petit (small), bonjour (hey)
6. It's true, the French do smoke a lot
7. I'm in total complete, absolu LUV with Geneva.
I'm in the old town part of Geneva and France is literally minutes away. I have the cutest family here, with the comfiest and cutest home ever! It's a bit small for the family, but I genuinely love the place. It's a nice getaway dream loft.
Why I instantly fell for this place: I love how everyone talks to one another, there is no rush with doing anything, everything looks so small, the French, the family. I was so absorbed by the scenery and people and life here that not once did i have the urge to grab my phone or take any pictures. Like the wise Milly says, if you took a photo, you didn't really live in the moment.. which I partially disagree with, but it felt good to experience today without having a camera in my hand to document every moment.
As for the plane rides here, I was in the air for ~15 hours. Both my planes were on time and the people who worked/traveled at both SFO and JFK airports were so helpful. OH, did I mention that a cute couple whose 5-month-old son was with them gave out snacks to the people sitting around their seats to celebrate their son's first plane ride? Too adorable!
