excerpt from symphony 1 in E minor, op. 3, mvt 4
is this too passive-aggressive
I was working out a theme on the piano with another song’s theme in mind but I couldn’t remember it very well so i kept changing it until it sounded like a satisfactory, independent melody to incorporate into the 2nd movement. Its now 4 hours later and I just realized it quotes fur elise literally and now the whole thing feels ruined bc I can’t unhear it
as a counter to the slow, angst-driven 2nd movement of my first symphony i’m returning to normal levels of “Too Many Notes at Too Many Beats per Minute™” for this beginning to the 3rd movement
>:’)
first draft of second movement’s beginning/one of the themes idk yet
but anyways yes i like cutting excerpts off in satisfying places
Started working on what was going to be another dramatic short, but somehow I’ve got another movement for my symphony instead (it being over a year since I’ve last looked at it). Its usually the other way around but I’ll take this…
hey basses and cellos played fast notes all by ourselves, where the fuck is our shuffle
