sometimes i wonder if we have forgotten that sharing creative work is, fundamentally, a bid for human connection. like I'm not posting art or fic for 'engagement' i'm posting it looking for other sickos to play with! i'd be making it anyway for my own gratification because there's something wrong with me, i'm sharing it hoping we can have something wrong with us together <3

How did you come up with the concept of Lackadaisy? Was there a lot of thought into it or did you just mash up two hyperfixations together for the fun of it?
A little of both. I put a lot of time and research into it. But also, it is an unrepentant mishmash of things I am interested in. For anyone undertaking a personal project of any length, I'd recommend making it self-indulgently about things you love, things that endlessly fascinate you, or topics you feel very passionate about. Make something that will maintain your interest and that you will compulsively pour your genuine self into.
