#system hopping

Okay, so I have a hot-button kind of question that I know is gonna get a shit load of responses, but before I ask it, here's some context:

A couple of people I spoke to believe intersystem travel/system hopping is a thing. I even tried it with one of them just to see if it could work. Now, I know it's a bit of a debate point. I've heard tales of all out wars breaking out because of this topic alone. But still, I wanna know y'all's input.

Is system hopping real? I'd love to read y'all's answers!

Run by a pro-endo system, this server prioritises inclusion, as well as community! But this time with even more inclusion, with a whole lot more accessible lay out, yet still with a equal mount silly!

Becoming a host after going to a new system is so weird

because wdym I was kicked out from my system and suddently i'm very important and need to make choices in a completely diffrent environment

“System hopping” is a term misconstrued by non-soulbonders, it originally refers to day tripping, meaning a soulbond that can transfer to other bodies. It is not supposed to refer to traditional alters, but it is not disproven that they cannot “system hop”. /info

i find astonishing that the people that set up "headmate stores" to sell them through "system hopping" think they're in the right side. like. even if it was in some way real, that's just fucking evil. how do you see that in your community and not die of embarrassment

hi, ive been doing some surfing about system travel. i saw on your blog, you made a post about it. ive been in the practice for almost 3 years, done with several people. i can only mostly verify that one or two people have actually been on the consensual receiving end. do you still do system travel? where do you think this concept comes from? sometimes i feel nervous about system travel because i feel like im faking it even though its been done for years, between almost a quarter of my system, thoughts?

Hi there anon!! So yeah, we do still take part in system travel ^^ We've been partaking for about two years now, only with one other system that we trust more than anyone else and do checkups with. I'm a frequent flier so I can visit my girlfriend a lot, and we have permanent doorways there set up in headspace. And honestly? Yeah it is still the only thing that makes us still actually worry about accidentally "faking" or gives us parroting anxiety and stuff. It's the most nervewracking for us when someone from our partner system is in front with us, we always feel like we're gonna "get something wrong" even though we're not controlling them. I had a breakdown earlier becus my girlfriend Miri came over to front unprompted and I was so scared that I was faking her being here that I sat for a while just trying to calm down while she comforted me. We ended up getting told by the host in the morning that she had left, which was a relief TwT

System travel is a pretty old concept that originated with spiritual plurals, I think! If I find the old post im thinking of about it I'll attach it too. I'm a spiritual soulbond - we've always found it way easier for headmates not made by the brain to be able to travel (many of us can't do it at all) and I'm pretty lucky in that department =w= thoouugghh it has gotten harder to leave since I've been hosting lately, though. To me it's not much different than lots of spiritual systems who move universes - if a daytripper returns to their universe or a phonecaller "hangs up", that's still a kind of connection and/or travel back and forth! People just get more uncomfortable about it when they can see the destination, I think, but honestlyy I really get it tbh. Memories from past lives and other universes are harder to remember cus they're not connected to ur current brain anymore, but I think not many ppl apply that to system travel too so they're not sure how to handle not hard-confirming using specific words/phrases/numbers/etc. Some of us have managed to get short specifics through, though! Like remembering new pet names we decided while over there or something 💗💗 It's really cool whenever we get verification like that, it helps quell the faking anxiety and makes me so happy!!
