Day in Fandom History: September 4…
In hopes of being stronger and tired of being like he’s the weakest of the group, K.O. accepts help from a shadowy individual, named Shadowy Figure, to unlock a hidden potential inside of him, a dark and powerful version of himself. “T.K.O.” premiered on this day, 8 Years Ago.
Fusion / Fast Break / PHM Pegasus / Empire / Rack 'Em / Star Fleet I: The War Begins / T.K.O. / Serve and Volley)

As far as I've heard, OK KO did not have nearly as much TKO as I would've wanted post destruction of the cage. And that kills me because I want to see Mr. Gar attempt to stepdad TKO so heckin bad. Just imagine that situation. Mr. Gar trying to do some bonding with the Superpowered Evil Side of his lifelong crush's 6-11 year old son. Who arguably could very easily kick his ass and knows it.
TKO @ Mr. Gar: You're not my dad! I never even met my dad!... *(processes that a smidge and starts crying)* // Hot take but maybe getting to know Mr. Gar would've saved TKO. Maybe that would've given him somewhere to go besides Shadowy Figure's b$#ch ass. (I do know that that whole catastrophe was largely because KO banished him to the subconscious. So a crashout was called for)
Oh I am FOREVER SAD about how little TKO got used. Especially in light of how important he was in the final season- it's clear they INTENDED to get around to these things, they just didn't have time. OK KO was on ridonk levels of slow burn.
I think T.K.O. is still alive in K.O.'s head, though! I don't buy that he vanished. Turbo didn't WORK like SF-- Shadowy Figure was just a weird ink blob in Venomous's throat he got after an experimenting mishap, while KO MADE Turbo out of his own anger and insecurity and then mistreated the hell out of him as a result (NOT that TKO didn't do it back, or wouldn't've done the same, they're part of each other) until he exploded. I personally think that bc KO accepted Turbo as part of himself, Turbo is able to pilot a bit better. Now he has equal control and a much better attitude.

So it turns out that having the Fanfiction class helped me at least post some things about working with form and style for my portfolio! "Short and Sweet" is a fic for T.K.O. from OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes.
