Star Wars: Visons, Before and After
For a new batch of microheroes, here are where I see various Visions characters in my personal AU before and after their respective stories.
Jee Ken Tsokee aka Jay continues to tour the galaxy with Star Weaver, their performance for Jabba substantially bolstering their reputation. Behind the scenes, he eventually falls in league with the Hidden Path, with the band using the revenue from their concerts to help fund their operations. After Palpatine’s death at Endor, Jay publicly reveals his former identity as a Jedi, and though he never officially joins the NJO, he does become one of their most vocal proponents over the years
*as a side note, Luke was a big fan of Star Weaver as a kid, and he can’t help but geek out a little when he first meets Jay, even asking for his autograph.
In my setting, the Twins, Karre and Am, were created as part of the revitalized Krath cult under the leadership of Sebban Keto, a character from a roleplaying game who is descended from Aleema and Sataal Keto from the Tales of the Jedi comics. After going rogue, Karre travels the galaxy in an effort to stay one step ahead of the Krath and their allies in the Imperial Remnant. He eventually joins forces with the NJO to help bring Keto down, though his foundation in the Dark Side makes it difficult for him to truly trust in the light. Am meanwhile remains devoted to her intended purpose, but remains conflicted in her loyalties. In a climatic showdown, Karre manages to pull Am away from the dark path and together they are able to defeat the Krath once and for all. After a great deal of soul-searching and finding true peace in the light, the twins eventually join the Jedi Order.
*This particular area is toned down CONSIDERABLY from how it was in the short; the twins are still exceptionally powerful, but there’s no ridiculous BS like the Lightsaber Holdo Manuver. Keep it grounded.
F, T0-B1, and Lop are all part of a joint adventure. After her battle with Zero, F receives new prosthetics for her arm and legs and continues her wandering knight errant routine. She eventually comes to Tao, where she meets Lop, who has fallen in with Jaxxon T. Tumperakki to make ends meet, and T0-B1, who has met up with former Republic Colonel Meebur Gascon and WAC-47 as part of a rebuilt D-Squad. F takes the Lepi and droid under her wing as apprentices. The motley crew forms up in opposition to Ocho, who has become the new Imperial magistrate of Tao, and a few Imperial Dark Jedi who have taken an interest in the Force-sensitive heroes. The good guys end up seeking sanctuary on Tannalorr following a final confrontation, escaping due to Ocho deciding to choose her family over the Empire. Eventually, all three of them join the NJO, and Ocho eventually finds herself recruited into Thrawn’s Empire of the Hand. F becomes a prominent instructor at the Jedi Praxeum, T0-B1 befriends Rowan Freemaker, and Lop and Ocho begin the road to reconciling their relationship.
The events of The Elder take place during the transition period between the High Republic and the Prequel era. Dan G’vash is a venerable Jedi Master by the time of the Clone Wars, a warm and grandfatherly figure to the younglings around the Temple. Regardless, his encounter with the Elder makes him wary and vigilant against the potential reemergence of the Dark Side, with the appearance of Maul in TPM prompting him to more thoroughly investigate anything pertaining to his deceased foe.
Lola was a Sith assassin during the New Sith Wars, around the time of the Knight Errant series. Despite being brought up as a Sith, the wildly varies applications of Sith doctrine at the time meant that her conscience was able to survive her indoctrination and training. When orders came down to massacre a village of innocents, Lola refused, turning against her master Kutu to save the people at the cost of her right arm. After taking steps to get the refugees to Republic space, Lola went into hiding, leading to the events of Sith.

After graduating from their flight academy, Anni Kalfus and Julan Van Reeple join the New Republic Fleet. Their rivalry continues into their service, even as they find themselves assigned to the same flight group, Bronze Squadron. Thankfully, the demands of military service and the mentorship of General Thane Kyrell goes a long way towards improving their relationship. By the time of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the two are genuine friends and lead their own squadron with distinction.
Journey to the Dark Head and Bird of Paradise are both set in the leadup to the Darth Bane trilogy, with Toul and Nakime being close friends as younglings. Their solo adventures wrap up around the same time, both having grown and matured from their ordeals. By the time of the Ruusan campaign, Toul is a full Jedi Knight and distinguishes himself on the battlefield, while Nakime has taken up a more spiritual following and serves as one of the most capable healers in the Army of Light. Both are fortunate enough to not become victims of the Thought Bomb.
Rugal was the former apprentice to Porter Engle, following her mater’s example as both an accomplished chef and a distinguished Jedi field agent. Rugal made a name for herself serving alongside the Republic Judiciary Forces on numerous worlds, experience that allowed her to both shoulder the demands of the Clone Wars and have the means to go into hiding after Order 66.
After going their sperate ways on Golak, Charuk and Rani would meet again during the Galactic Civil War. Charuk becomes an accomplished field engineer for the Rebellion, maintaining equipment even in chaotic battlefields. Rani completes her training under Rugal while sequestered in the Hidden Path before stepping up openly as a Jedi post-Endor. Needless to say, the siblings’ reunion is the definition of heartwarming.
*Rani constructed her lightsaber to resemble Charuk’s flute.
Following a distinguished service record with the Rebellion, Crane eventually leads a campaign to liberate her homeworld of Biwaji and reclaim her throne. Now queen of a kingdom in ruins, Crane makes it her business to restore her people and their culture from the ashes the Empire left behind, while also spearheading similar efforts on numerous other worlds, her experience with Woopas still resonating with her. She is no idle monarch, though, and will gladly bust out the X-Wing suit again if need be.
Tor-Tu is still Tor-Tu.
Gleenu was the Jedi Watchman of the Zenarita sector prior to the Clone Wars, making her intimately familiar with the royal family. After the Purge, she went underground in familiar territory, but not before losing her arm in an effort to allow a group of Padawans to escape. Unsure if her efforts were successful, Gleenu latched herself on to the Zenarita nobles, Prince Arluu in particular, in an effort to maintain her protective nature.
