(This Saturday night at 9:30 PM, I will begin running the above game.
It's Magical Girls, in the 1990's with a heavy Madoka influence. The stress of dealing with things Man Should Not Know leads to the possibility of soul corruption.
It says "5E" but there's only a skeleton of D&D in there, where you have abilities rolled with a D20 + modifier. Everything else, from the magic system, to the enemies, to the world, is completely designed to make you feel like Tsukino Usagi or Kimberly Hart as you fight to balance defending the world from dread evil while trying to pass your exams.
If you want to listen in, send me a message and I'll invite you to our gaming discord, "The Whale-shaped Crater. It's going to be a blast!)
Streets of Shadow: A Dragon Age Table Top Campaign
"The city of Highmire sits atop a mountain pass at the border between the Free Marches and Nevarra. This town controls much of the trade between the two countries, and its success was not so easily granted. Over the last several years, the trade empire that flows through the bottleneck of Highmire has been built out of the shadows of corruption and exploitation.
After the accidental murder of one of the city’s most beloved and cherished artisans, a rebellion is brewing in the shadows. Their anger in turn is being fueled by a mysterious killer who has begun targeting wealthy merchants in the upper-class district of the city.
It is up to the party to get to the bottom of this mystery and figure out what’s going on in Highmire. Will they see this killer as a heroic vigilante or a serial killer that must meet his end?"
Estimated 5-8 Sessions.
This campaign does not have any set levels and can accommodate an array of player characters and backgrounds. A majority of the set and world-building is written, but this is a campaign that you can make your own!

Good April y’all! It’s a dreary, rainy day here, but it’s also time to launch Bastrai City! For any of you who follow me on twitter, you know that I’ve been working on this one for like... a month and a half or something ridiculous like that. And this is the result and, I gotta say, I am really happy with how it turned out.
Bastrai is a city that has endured calamity, war, hopelessness, and disease, yet has continued to stand strong through it all. It is a city and a people who endure. Whether your players pass through, live there, or explore it, it’s full of an incredible amount of opportunity, from haunting ruins, a haunted graveyard, work from the city princes, traversing slums, robbing the rich. If you can imagine it, there’s a part of Bastrai that can hold it. Hell, there’s even a park in there! Yes really!
As always, this is the free version! If you like what you see and want to support me (and thus help me move!) and/or get a higher res version, they’re available in standard (1935x2053) and 8k over on my shop! Oh, and there just so happens to be four other versions of this map, from a textless version to an isometric version! And, of course, if you choose to become a monthly supporter at the Pen Nib tier, you get the standard res free plus all my other standard res map packs and some other goodies. Spilled Ink supporters get all that, plus the hires maps and photoshop files.
... sorry about the ad lol
ANYWAY. Support me, pick up some higher res maps, and get to work exploring Bastrai! Because it’s enormous and worth it!

Map Text: When war came and fires raged, they said Bastrai would fall. When plague came and the dead filled the streets, they said Bastrai would fall. When rebellion raged and siblings fought, they said Bastrai would fall.
They said the city would never rise again. That the lands would be salted, and the citizens would rot and wither. They said the demons would take the city and use it as their own. They said many things.
For 1,000 years the people of Bastrai have stood. For 1,000 more they shall stand. For Bastrai endures and shall always endure. Whether curse or blessing can only be answered by those within.
Since one of the players was unavailable, DM suggested we do a one shot campaign in the mean time! Managed to get one session done last week
No one shot session today so next week, we're going back to main campaign! But took the time to actually color in group's resident garbage lady finally! (Nearly a year after her creation at this point imsosorrymychild)
Anyway! This is Scaizah! She's just your local trash lady with big poking stick who accepts jobs if you give her more trash or some good obscure lore.
