A delicious and easy-to-make casserole inspired by Taco Bell's Mexican pizza, featuring layers of seasoned ground beef, refried beans, cheese, and toppings baked in a deep-dish pizza crust.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 small onion, chopped. 1 packet taco seasoning mix. 1 can 16 oz refried beans. 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce. 1 can 8 oz diced tomatoes, drained. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese. 1 package 16 oz refrigerated pizza dough. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1/2 cup sliced black olives. 1/2 cup chopped green onions. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup sliced jalapeos optional. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional. 1/4 cup chopped lettuce optional. 1/4 cup guacamole optional.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. In a separate saucepan, warm the refried beans and tomato sauce over low heat until well combined. Roll out the pizza dough and press it into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, creating a crust. Spread the bean and tomato sauce mixture evenly over the pizza dough crust. Layer the ground beef mixture on top of the bean mixture. Sprinkle the diced tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese over the ground beef layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with sour cream, sliced black olives, chopped green onions, diced tomatoes, and any optional toppings you desire like sliced jalapeos, chopped fresh cilantro, chopped lettuce, and guacamole. Slice into squares and serve hot. Enjoy your Deep Dish Taco Bell Mexican Pizza Casserole Bake!
