I learned a lesson
I was having a really relaxing smoke down by the river just enjoying the babbling sound and all of a sudden I felt a boop on my leg. I looked over and HOLY SHIT I had a heart attack, as did it. There was a baby snake. First thought was it was a black headed python. NOPE I GLANCED AGAIN AND IT WAS A BABY TIGER SNAKE!! It booped my leg, scared itself and backed away very slowly. As soon as it was out of sight I LEGGED IT!! It came out of nowhere and disappeared into nowhere.
Thinking back though, it was very cute with its glistening eyes and cute little head. It could have called out and let me know it was there though, instead of just surprising me.
The lesson I learned was that babies, no matter what species, are inquisitive. They will boop you with their snoot to see what you are.
And if you're down by a river sitting peacefully, expect anything.
Mount Taggerty, Victoria
Mount Taggerty river has that edge. The ambient and graceful water flow.
Mt Taggerty River in Marysville, Victoria, Australia
Mt Taggerty river is located near Marysville which is a small town, 34 kilometres north-east of Healesville, in Victoria, Australia. The population size was about 500 before the devastating bushfire on 7 February 2009. the death toll was 45 and around 90% of the town's buildings were destroyed.
This was another photo that was captured for metering the best shutter speed and aperture to get the smooth silky flow of the water. This one did capture my attention totally.
The access to this river is via off road needing 4 wheel drive to arrive safe and sound.

Taggerty River from Marrysville, Victoria, Australia
This image is taken by Da* 16-50mm f2.8 SDM and polariser filter. Taggerty River is a river hidden behind the famous Stevenson Fall in Marrysville which has suffered an extensive bush fire damage. The river is long gone and the lush green of the region is no longer visible in today's treking. Still, the region has that touch of moisture and ambience that many would lust for. The negatively charged anions in the air really work better than any refresheners you can buy from markets. It comes a time when we should let go the mundane chores in life to embrace the beauty of nature. A walk like this helps me regain the perspective of life free from trivial matters that do not contribute to a better good. Roe
