不動明王 Fudou Myou with 2 Tengu guarding the stupa which holds a relic of the Buddha. About 3/4 of the way up Takao mountain in Hachioji on the outskirts of Tokyo. Being a Saturday it was pretty busy with many hikers and tourists but this area of the temple was very serene and quiet. Fudou Myou is an important figure in Japanese Buddhism especially within the #Vajrayana or #shingon sects.
