Good morning. My name is Ihsan Hines, President of @MBKCares , and I'm so excited to share a valuable resource with you today. July is Minority Mental Health Month and the Philadelphia Chapter of A.F.S.P. @afsp_philly is offering a special series of training for people within the @MBKCares network. If you're reading this message you are part of that community. The first training session that will be provided this month takes place this upcoming Thursday July 16th at 6pm. "Talk Saves Lives": A Brief Introduction to Suicide Prevention. The training will be conducted by Aimee Prange from A.F.S.P. Philly. I will also be present to participate in the open dialogue portion of the training. We have a limited amount of spots available so I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity while it's here. I have participated in this training and it has been life changing for me. "Talk Saves Lives" will help everyone to understand ways to prevent suicide from impacting our families, friends, and communities. The session will take place in a confidential Zoom room and all attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
