faux spotify players with my warriors ocs inspired by @heathertail‘s!! it was SUCH a neat concept that i had to do my own take on it for my own characters. i had a ton of fun doing these and i absolutely wanna do more.

doerunner, ruddyfur, tansykit, and/or violetkit <3

my doerunner / littleblossom and ruddyfur / featherflight biases are pretty solidly in place so i won’t go around trying to squeeze them into other ships considering i’m pretty sold on those two, but! tansykit and violetkit are free game.

for tansykit, i do like the idea of her and swanpaw together. they’re both obviously still super young and volatile, both of them hosting their own attitude issues, but i feel like they could actually end up as a pretty even match. swanpaw’s the sort of cat who won’t go entirely soft on tansykit, but i think she has just enough interest in her to garner tansykit’s interest in return eventually. i think a relationship between them would take a lot of work to be stable, but sue me, i’d totally love to see a bickering rivals to begrudging friends to eventual romance arc with them.

as for violetkit, as hilarious as it would be to follow in her parent’s pawsteps and go for a forbidden relationship, i actually think that she and tundrakit might be neat. they haven’t officially interacted yet so this is more speculation than anything else, but tundrakit is the most reserved of his siblings, and violetkit is the same with hers. while their siblings are busy fighting each other to the death, these two might be able to find some understanding and peace and quiet with each other. again, violetkit doesn’t have many branching relationships with cats her own age who aren’t kin, so it’s hard for me to nail down a relationship for her perfectly, but i think tundrakit might be at least a good friend for her to make!

A little colored lineart of Darkkit (Darkstripe) and Tansykit (Longtail)!

If you haven’t read the short story on Ao3, Tansykit is the son of Thrushpelt and a kittypet. She encourages him to take their son to join the clan, and Willowpelt nurses Tansykit, alongside her first kit Darkkit. The two grow up as brothers, with Willowpelt as a mother and Thrushpelt for a father (the two are NOT mates).

So, no, Darkstripe and Tansytail/Longtail aren’t the little shits they were in the first series (to some extent).
