Someone requested to draw someone with Tarkan disease so I picked the one and only Johnny Cage 🙌 Might do more too, who else should be in the roster?
Baraka x Reader: Too Honorable to Eat
Never made or seen a Baraka one shot. Wonder if I'm the first💃🏾 ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Forward!" Blade commands the Special Forces soldiers to march into enemy territory with the motive to attack.
Boy, were you ready. Rushing in with your friends, Cassie and Jacqui. This was one of those rare occasions Special Forces was on offense. Dangerous, yes, but you couldn't help but relish that adrenaline.
There's a cause for it, though. Last fight with Outworld involving Tarkatans, some of your comrades were killed viciously and digested. All have families that have yet to receive news and stomach the fact they will not be required to pick out a coffin for their loved, late one.
During the midst of the battle, the invasion was going super well, but there's just too damn many of them. Ammo isn't the issue.
General Blade underestimated the population, and some of you were starting to get nasty wounds.
She makes the call to retreat back into the portal.
You made it your responsibility to help out your wounded allies and try to get them back on their feet and go through the portal. Multitasking and firing at any Tarkatans that are getting dangerously close.
Seeing no more helpless peers, you were about to bolt through yourself, but something from the distance stopped you.
There's a shorter Tarkatan hiding in poor cover, clearly a young and very frightened one. Near them, one of your fellow soldiers.
"Take this, fucking freak!"
Your heart dropped watching him remove a pin from a grenade and tossing it at the young one.
"Wait, stop! That's just a child!" You rush over.
"Child or not, those freaks killed my fucking friend. They all can burn in hell for all I care." And with that he walks off to the portal.
You glanced at from the young Tarkatan to the activated grenade to the portal that was closing in.
There's no time. You made your choice.
Faster than you've ever been, you sprinted to the child and leaped for them as the explosion went off. You knew you had ahold of them but everything nearly went black.
...
Taking ragged breaths, you open your eyes. Your head hurts like shit but it was worth it. The child moves under you in your arms and they don't seem hurt at all.
You get off them and try to examine. "Are you okay?" You spoke to them like they were your own species.
"Taka. Taka! Tut meh autka!" They don't exactly look afraid at you but there's definitely wariness.
Regardless, you don't know what they're saying but body language is universal. You put your hands up and chant that it's okay. You weren't going to hurt them.
The child looks behind you and you stood yourself up - nearly falling on your knees due to your definitely hurt leg - to see you were surrounded.
One of the strong looking ones unsheathed his blades before stapling towards you, but then:
"Khut!"
There's the rule of Tarkata. Baraka.
You hear the angels already welcoming you to the upper room.
However, today is just full of fortunate surprises for you in turn of your pure heart action.
"Khut nar kombat." He tells the Tarkatan that was about to strike you. The leader turns to you with narrowed eyes.
"You'd save a Tarkatan child?"
"Well, yes. Children are innocent. What involvement would they have in bloody wars?" You were very honest.
"Your realm attacked my tribe." He says in spite. "And it was your comrade that attempted harm on our young."
You jumped a little as the child ran suddenly amongst the crowd but only because the parents were present. You can tell how relieved and happy they were.
"I'm not the one who leads my force. Therefore, I have no words of today's attack. I'll apologize on behalf of my comrade's, erm, unsportable act. He lost a friend to you... guys... and well, grief makes a person do irrational things."
That's all you really had to say. It makes sense. You weren't the only one to notice the conversation coming to an end. Few of the man-eating Outworlders were about ready to butcher you and make you into today's supper.
Again, Baraka raises a hand to stop any movement towards you.
"Not this one. She's too honorable to eat."
You were just as surprised as the rest of them. There were sounds of low confusion and disappointment but none of them disobeyed the tribe leader.
"You may leave with your life today, but shall our realms meet in Kombat again, your safety may not be guaranteed from Tarkata." Baraka dips his head.
"T-Thank you." You instinctively bowed back and limped away in a speedy manner.
It's gonna take a minute to figure out how to get back to base. Boy, did you have a story for the girls. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The very second Tarkaran line from the child, I bullshitted. Everything else I did search💀

She's overrated brutal
BARAKA
I updated the digitally painted portrait of the Mortal Kombat 1 Baraka to look more dimensional and detailed. I digitally painted this using Krita.
Baraka’s gonna sit by his side for days, not sleeping, not eating, just watching over Kenshi until his transformation is done.
Love wins🩷🏳️🌈🩷
Most people, including Baraka’s old family die during the fever. Kenshi will make it, but Baraka is terrified that he will once more relive the death of his beloved.
Hear me out-
