I love watching cute ships on shows where person A gets adorably shy after person B compliments them out of nowhere & person A tries to deflect but person B smiles knowingly that their words have had an affect *sigh*

Okay I'm still trying to watch 'To All the Boys I've Loved' but it's soo long!! But like.. I know these tropes and these cliches and I love them and I can 100% guess what each character is gonna say but the WAY they say it. The little change in the choice of words blows me away. I had to pause and take a damn walk because one line (which was so innocent in the way it was said) just ripped my heart out. The actors are phenomenal and the the way the scenes are shot are just.. Wow. Normally I hate movies that romanticize your teen years but somehow? This one got it right to a point. Yeah I can't experience this girl's exact story (I'm a single child, my mother is alive, and we were not that well off) but

 I can relate for once.
