Got tagged by the lovely @litsenn , @saylofwaterdeep , @anacdoce 💜 Thank you very much my precious diamonds 🖤 Now I have quite a row of sweet questions to answer!
How does your character act when they want to seem inviting? (18)
That's precisely where the problem might lie: Saulus is considerably more successful when she doesn't try to do something intentionally.
Now the question arises: inviting in what sense?
To be inviting, to encourage friends to open up, to calm them down —well, the bard certainly manages that very consciously, but gently.
She can also flirt very gracefully when she wants to, but the "wanting" is usually rather flawed, and her winking nature, which tends toward bad puns, coupled with overly eager, telltale facial expressions, is a bit of a mixed bag.
How does your character act when they want to seem threatening? (19)
The perfect segue: The same.
Because Saulus' enthusiastic, tail-wagging expression resembles one flashing with murderous intent, which might occasionally hinder her from forging the friendships she so desperately wanted.
In short: Her eyes. Just look into her crazy eyes.
Plus maybe a wild growl and barking because it can't quite be calle words anymore, which she then blurts out wildly 😄
Would your character want to be famous? Why or why not? (23)
Oh my dear sweet friend, what a perfect question.
To be honest, I had started writing a whole fanfiction on the topic, delving a little into Saulus' character and her fears, worries, wishes, and dreams. However, I didn't finish it in September and then more or less put it on hold.
I also posted a rough draft of a ballad that addresses the theme.
In short:
Saulus doesn't aspire to be a famous artist and doesn't take herself too seriously. She laughs at herself and prefers to hear her friends laugh at her rather than be sad.
Deep down, however, she feared that in the end, she would only be remembered as a laughingstock, and that she herself would be to blame. Even if she isn't an enchanting siren, she still loves what she does and wants to be part of the world and history of storytelling and making music, even if it doesn't reciprocate what she loves doing, and the feeling remains that she is constantly performing for an audience that isn't watching and will never applaud.
How do they respond to condescension? (34)
Most of the time it comes down to: Who?
Who's talking to her?
She's completely oblivious to her friends. She pouts or laughs it off with a "Chapeau!"
As a stranger, it depends on her mood, because Saulus is usually pretty relaxed, does not care much and is indifferent…until the moment she isn't anymore — and then you should run 😅
Think of her as a cat: it's all fun and games until it isn't, and then she'll suddenly attacks, bites, and nibbles for no reason 😆 (It may really depend on if she can smell you and what you say – she may be too tipsy and in a good mood to care 😏😉)
What is something they cannot resist? (8)
Drinks, cute animals, puns&laughter, compliments&flirting, maybe staring at sexy guys and especially their chests (SHE DID NOT STARE OF COURSE 😲😱🙈)
📷This absolute masterpiece is by no one else than @cursed-nyxan of course 😎💋
Does your character swear? What's their favorite phrase/word? (17)
Oh she does!
Saulus tries to keep her fine bard moments, and tends to have her moments she gets lost in her words, but in her regular daily life she is nasty as anyone else. Forgive I don’t have any particular, favourites in mind. She goes for regular fucks and damns, but I think it would be fun if she also uses kind if not real nasty swearing words like Gale does.
If they were a potion, what would it look like? (21)
Bubbly bubbly champagne of potions! Crystal clear with bubbles or with he most fanciest colour of purple with golden sparks – of course the most extravagant vial you have ever seen: Hexagonal edge look with many cuts and engravings
Or just blue Thisobald beer 😆 Effect: Can't remember
How does your character feel about growing old? (46)
On her own accord, it is not a thought that would trouble Saulus’ mind. It depends on the terms who she wants to accompany on her way and to whom she has given her heart.
When one accompanies immortality, one must ask oneself whether one strives for immortality to spare one's great love the loss, for one will not be the one to suffer it. This was the first time she had been so aware of her mortality and its consequences in the face of vampiric infinity.
How impulsive is your character? (7)
Oh dear 😅
YES.
Fin.
😆
(Saulus is walking impulse – let’s leave it here)
Does your character daydream? What do they usually keep their mind occupied with? (33)
Another perfect one.
Yes.
All the time.
A writer has to dream, right? Without it, stories would never come into being, all those images painted in the mind and then shaped into words.
Yet the tiefling loves to dream, and the question of whether she dreams to write or writes because she daydreams so much is one that remains unanswered. But perhaps the answer lies in the fact that she sees the beauty around her with clear, awake eyes, whether in birds and flowers in spring or in the laughter of her friends as they toast with a cold beer — she sees dreams come true everywhere.
What makes them a hypocrite? (51)
Saulus is the Queen of mockery and giving her friends a hard time is her love language. Jokes at a bad timing - one of her famous traits. Bickering and banters is something she lives for and enjoys the opposite exchange.
But she unfortunately tends to tip the scales in her favor sometimes 😉😂 Acting all piqued, with a big wink of course, if you act just like her.
OR she can sometimes just look like the most innocent lamb, with the biggest sad eyes you've ever seen, and then your comeback suddenly isn't so funny anymore, even though she was being cheeky just one second before.
I choose the full blow of 4 + 5 + 8 + 9 + 22 + 28 + 29 + 30 + 45 + 48 + 49 for : @cursed-nyxan , @aristenfromwarsaw (for both of you: do it for all of your Tavs or split the questions between them to your liking 😉) and @wasted-sam

Coming from DAi, Ive seen so many ppl write their inky as a kid or at youngest 18 bc it changes the dynamic between them and the party...
Has anyone done that/ considered how it would change the relationship with Tav?
Lae'zel being frustrated and terrified that her survival is dependent on a teenager. She's taking orders from someone barely old enough to know their way around life on a good day, but now finding her people and being purified fully hinges on this kid's survival and she will be damned if she doesn't die to protect them.
Wyll sees himself in them, wide eyed and terrified at 17 when he bound himself to a devil and his father cast him out. The gods are cruel for giving children their toughest battles. He's going to give them every piece of advice he has and pledge his blade to their cause.
Gale being even more hesistant to open about The Orb and Mystra and his condition because he thinks it's too much for them. They should be tucked away in a library, they should be walking through Baldur's Gate worried about trinkets and sweets and being home on time so they don't worry their mother... not tasked with saving Faerûn from a cult.
Astarion thinks its annoying at first. "Free" for the first time in 200 years. Illithid tadpole squirming in his head and he's stuck following a literal fetus in hopes of survival. Its laughable. He almost –almost– feels bad about having to feed from them, but young blood is always sweeter. And when they earn his approval he's bitter on their behalf. Forced to be a hero, some beacon of light before you've even explored life and it's simple pleasures? Appalling.
Karlach... oh boy Karlach burns hot when they tell her exactly how old they are. Its stupid- its unfair- ITS BULLSHIT quite honestly. The nickname Soldier becomes so much more. This kid doesn't give up. They can't, Mama K will do everything in her power to stop it. They need a friend in these tough times and shes more than willing to be that person. Gods....
Shadowheart is a little surprised, but she's the one that underestimates them the least, for sure. They're not that much older than when she was taken in by The Dark Lady and her followers. She knows that you become strong when you need to be. It may be unfair but that doesn't make them any less capable as long as they understand the task at hand. She will see to it that they stay on the right path. And when her faith shifts she realizes neither of them deserve to struggle.
As for Halsin, it makes his heart ACHE in his chest when someone so young comes to his rescue. His knee jerk reaction is that they need training, gudiance... protection. But he quickly realizes that's only half true. They are young sure, but they are not helpless. He will help them in anyway that he can whether it be in battle against The Absolute or by carving them little wooden animals while they sleep and leaving them in their tent. They deserve a little happiness amongst the chaos.
Minthara (assuming she has been recruited at Moonrise) is surprised more by the fact that they chose to show her mercy than by their age. Given her upbringing, survival and violence go hand in hand and if this kid has survived this long, faced power of absolute and survived? Than they are worthy of her respect, hands down. She may not always agree with their methods but she will certainly not hesistate to stand beside them.
I'm not tagging anyone, so if you want to participate, feel free to copy and rewrite this post :)
here's my Tav
ATHALIA
General:
Name: Lady Athalia Linnacker
Alias: Athalia
Gender: Cis Woman
Age: 26
Spoken Language: Common
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Occupation: Cleric of Selùne, before and after BG3 timeline
Favorite:
Colour: White and light blue
Entertainment: reading and writing poetries
Pastime: look at the stars, read, pray to Selùne
Food: Cakes, sweets in general
Drink: She loves sweet wine but would never admit to drinking a lot of it
Have They…
Passed University: She had an excellent teaching in her past as a noble
Had Sex: Only and exclusively with Gale
Had Sex in Public: Maybe they could…👀
Gotten Tattoos: Nope
Gotten Piercings: Pierced ears
Gotten Scarred: She hid them when she became quite good at healing, but she had some
Had a Broken Heart: She saw her father die in front of her
Are They…
A Cuddler: ... YES? She is very fixated on physical contact
Scared Easily: Always, but she always pretends nothing is happening to show off in front of her team. She's been shitting herself for half the adventure, even though she can be very brave
Jealous Easily: No, at most she feels sad for not being enough
Trustworthy: Definitely yes! She is too good to betray or leave her companions behind.
Family
Sibling(s): She has two half-brothers, from her father's wife. Florian and Degar, who she is about 10 years older than. She loves them very much
Parents: Her father was Lord Brennel Linnacker of Baldur's Gate, who impregnated his (beloved) mistress at the age of 18. His family tried to kill the woman and child to eliminate evidence of illegitimate children, but they only succeeded in killing Athalia's mother, and he did everything to keep Athalia as his daughter.
So she does not know who her mother is.
Children: I've always imagined that she and Gale have 4 children, 1 boy and 3 girls, but I prefer to tell this story later when I'm more certain about
Pets: Tara is not a pet!
BG3 headcanons, companion characters reaction to Tav having their period
I wrote this for my own comfort, so Tav is afab, nonbinary trans-masc. All sfw
Halsin:
Brews herbal teas he knows will help. Sweetens it with honey.
Gathers berrys that have pain-soothing or anti-inflammatory attributes (like rasberries)
Assures Tav that there is nothing to be embarrassed about, and that they are not allowed to think they are holding the others back by resting. Rest is important! And he won't let you continue travelling in pain.
Dysphoria related: Tells Tav about multiple men he treated for period pain, and women he knew that never had periods. Cis, trans, inter, anyway. A period is natural and says nothing about your identity.
Talks about intersex- and trans-animals he knows or surveyed in nature.
Trys comforting Tav by telling them its one of nature's gifts, and sign of bringing life. If Tav is annoyed by that he stops (but maybe will bring it up later again, when Tav feels better and/or their relationships progresses)
Lots of (Bear-) cuddles
Gale:
You wanna be angry about having your Period? Gale is your Man for that. You can rant at him how unfair the world is, and how stupid it is that the body has to go through such pain each time.
He's gonna research the heck out of it. Reading every book he can find on periods, what makes them so excruciating, and how to help with them.
Cooks comforting soups and stews, makes chamomile tea and brings Tav a heated Waterskin
Learns/studys magic for warmth and inner healing
He reads to you. Anything you wanna hear, for distraction and comfort.
Maybe asks Halsin for help
Astarion:
Astarion probably knows before Tav knows, smeeling the blood and noticing the smallest shifts in their body language.
He's gonna be slightly less taunting and provocative as soon as he notices.
He's not gonna ask for his nibble in that time, going hunting for animalblood instead, not wanting Tav to feel even worse with less blood/iron.
Asks Shadowheart if she can perform soothing or even healing magic for Tav.
Tells Tav how handsome they are, if they confide in him with their dysphoric thoughts.
Karlach:
Walking heat-pad
I'll write more another time, right now I'm in a lot of pain and have to sleep a bit. Bb
