Magnus: Y’know, you get lonely and you’re like ‘what if I never meet the right person’ and oof, there’s a lot to worry about, y’know what I mean?

Red Robe: You do not know how to be afraid.

Merle: Well, probably not.

Magnus: Oh.

Merle: If it’s a smartness thing, no, uh-uh.

Griffin: It uh, it extends a sleeve of its robe and displays-

Travis: --And hands you ‘Being Afraid for Dummies’.

Griffin: [laughs] It says ‘How to be Afraid’.

Griffin: No, he actually kind of projects this almost holographic representation of a series of familiar faces, and, uh, it says:

Red Robe: Gundren Rockseeker. Magic Brian. Jenkins. Sloane. Captain Bane.

(And as it says these names, their faces sort of appear in the palm of its hand. And it says:)

Red Robe: This is the true nature of man. The want, the hunger, it consumes everything it touches, it can’t be stopped or changed. It’s the end of everything.

(And then it says:)

Red Robe: This is your first lesson.

(And disappears in a spout of flame.)

First episode-

The boys sound so dispassionate at starting the podcast. During the break they were sharing how they might build their brand with guest stars and how “it’s fun I guess” vibe. It makes my heart swell to think they followed what they like and made such a huge and impossiblly beautiful story. It makes me so happy that Griffin tried to dm, despite his doubts, because he turned into an amazing storyteller.

Them just learning how to play is amazing

Plus, I have to say how weird Taako’s voice is at the beginning and how much they grew in regards to their audience and being cautious about being welcoming instead of trying to speak Spanish in character. They changed it the next episode based on feedback from fans. It really shows how much they understand what people think and how they want others to treat each other.
