Tea packaging labels from the Soviet Union (1950s)

Teas were named after their locations: Tseylon tea, Indian tea, Georgian tea, Krasnodar tea (a city in the South of Russia), Azerbaijanian tea, Chinese tea. There was also the name of the tea packaging factory on the back of the pack.

A few of the Zodiac Tea Collection posts I made for New Mexico Tea Company’s Instagram page to advertise our collections of teas chosen for specific Zodiac signs. We did a collection for every sign, but these are just some of my favorites. The main picture is the label that was put on the front of the wrapped collections.

Lady Grey: The queen getting an afternnon tea served by her butler in Balmoral castle with a corgi on the lap.

Green tea: A woman having a cup of tea in her bed with a greyhound laying on the blanket.

Dajeeling Earl Grey: A country man having a tea from a thermo flask with his beagle sitting next to him.

Darjeeling: A lady has a teaparty and feeds her English bulldog with scones.

English Breakfast: A woman having a tea-to-go in the London underground with her pug on the lap.
