Hey, Deacon fans!
So I've decided to watch that one interview with Ryan Alosio from years ago again and I somehow missed that he mentions being in an anime playing as a vampire so I decided to do some research and...
I even found a whole playlist of the dub (he shows up at 9:35) and yup! It's him! Though he's a bit monotone but that's how 90s anime dubs were.
It's so bizarre hearing him regardless!
Ryan Alosio aka Deacon at the Fallout Fan Celebration 2025
I met one of my favorite voice actors from one of my favorite video games today at an EXPO.
Screams in joy.
We literally talked forever, and he's like the nicest teddy bear person ever.
He's also hilarious and had me in tears from laughing so hard.
A best day.
I wanted to meet the voice actor for another character in the game I really like, but we only had about a 5 minute interaction, because you have to kind of pay to interact with him, which was a bummer, but he was still really sweet too.

sometimes i think about this and i think about deacon finding a book of poe's writings on a job or something and bringing it back to HQ and choosing the absolute spookiest one in the book and committing it to memory and then gathering everyone in HQ and turning off all the lights except one lantern that he's holding and dramatically quoting it to them as if it were his own. desdemona enjoying the poetry, glory having the time of her life (headcanon she loves spooky stuff), drummer boy shaking in his boots, and the sole survivor recognizing it to be one of the most famous poems of all time but won't say anything to anyone but him (just to give him shit about it later)
and then i have to immediately stop thinking about it because imagining the railroad gang living the normal lives they deserve will bring me to tears i fear
