I FINALLY FOUND A GENDER PRESENTATION TERM THAT I LIKE, YAY!
[PT: I finally found a gender presentation that I like, yay! /End PT.]
Teakettler: Refers to a maverique-presenting individual who, due to the nature of maverinity, is often mistaken as presenting androgynous, masculine, or feminine.
It's so perfect! I've been struggling for a while to find a good presentation term that I connected with. As I've settled more into my maverique identity, I've found that referring to myself as related to the binary in any way is, for lack of better words, icky. I guess that's repulsion? And while I'm certain there must be other maveriques who are fine with presentations that derive from the binary, I'm just not one of those people. My gender experience *is* maverique, including how I express it. Teakettler is also such a nice term because it loops back to affirming my gender identity; I can express myself however I want, and society can perceive it how ever they will, but at the end of the day, I will *always* be maverique.
