A Stargazer Met A Moon child.
Honestly, it was easy to run away from your family when you're a changeling. You could be right in front of your own mother and she wouldn't know it. If it wasn't for that naive little Artemis wouldn't have made it as far as he had from his clan's home land.
He found himself in a town filled with humans to sit and watch. He liked how people gazed at him as he sat on park benches as if he were a rare jewel.
And in a way he was. His current form was that of a high elf with golden blonde hair cut in the style of a pixie bob. His green eyes literally sparkled like gems, and the cloak he wore looked like a perfectly captured image of the night sky. The only thing off about him was the ratty sack of clothing he lugged with him everywhere he went.
It hadn't been very long into his stay in the tiny town that a spectacle had caught his eye. Artemis watched from his seat across the street, as a very large lady and a very pretty man walked by. He observed as the man talked to people and the lady just stood quietly at watch. He'd never seen anything like them at all. He was especially interested in the man.
Artemis gazed longingly at the vibrant colors of the man's entire being. Even though he was across the road he could faintly hear the tinkling of jewelry as the man moved. The strange being's entire air was so lively and refreshing compared to the quiet muted tone of the little human town.
This was a persona worth trying to replicate Artemis thought to himself. Unknown to him though, his mouth was hanging open just a bit.
