ahh the third book in this absolutely outstanding series. i still can’t believe that i am close to finishing this all in one day i feel like im a kid learning to love reading again. the thought of america in a strapless red dress with a slit all the way to her thigh absolutely has me screaminggggg. like i cant tell if i want to be america or fuck america. either way, i’d be okay. 

america really is the ideal girl to come out as a one. like she literally said hey screw these rebels just fight back for gods sake. like oKAY QUEEN (princess but soon enough, sorry that was so corny). but her and maxon when she realizes that it’s raining outside??? oh my goddddd AND NOW THEY ARE DANCING IN THE RAIN OH I COULD CRY RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOWWW. i like that it’s the rain scene that makes her realize that she loves him, truly. and i like the fact that she doesn’t blurt it out (something i probably would have done to ruin the moment, as i do). but i like that she is still a private person and understands that there is a time and place for everything and (almost) everything she does is calculated and thought out. 

ok so i spoke way too soon because i forgot that she got shot, but i love how they throw marlee back into the mix and they dont forget about her. and i love how maxon takes the time to learn america’s maids’ names. OH you know who aspen reminds me of? gale hawthorn from hunger games??? yes, the entire trio is a total paralell, besides america’s red hair. but maxon being blonde, and aspen being brunett. oh i hate kota so much, he is such an ass.

god the way she first tells him she loves him, how she was planning to tell him before he even told her that they were gonna get married, and how he decided to tell her through photography. AND THE FACT THAT THEY SLEPT TOGETHERRRR AND HE ACTUALLY SLEPT. he wrote her love letters. and now i am going to have to cry myself to sleep. 

HOLY FUCK I FORGOT THAT CELESTE DIES IN THIS WTF.

the queen dying i think was one of the more sadder parts. maybe just because i always wanted the mother figure like that in my life, as i had to raise myself with the help of my sisters. “she said i could call her mom” shattered my heart, but i can’t help but reach my heart out for maxon because she was the only humane thing in the damn place. 

oh my god his fucking proposal makes me cry every time too. goddddd

AND ASPEN WALKING MER DOWN THE ISLEEEEE BECAUSE HER DAD IS DEAD GOD I HATE THIS.

and now there sits an empty hole in my chest as i close out the pdf (bookmarkng it in my illegal books tab to reread later). this is truly such a good series and i am so excited that it’s getting its own movie adaptions on netflix.

Was anyone actually on Team Aspen?

When I was reading the Selection series, I was on Team Maxon from the beginning, but I’ve only heard of one person who was on Team Aspen. I’m just curious - any Team Aspens out there?

Pokemon Go Speculation

So I’ve been seeing a lot of speculation about some of Pokemon Go’s features, and some ideas that it’s gonna be disappointing. So I thought I would chip in my two cents about my thoughts on the game, and some stuff I would love to see.

First, I personally feel that the augmented reality aspect of the game is actually gonna be pretty good. Why? Because if people don’t remember, Nintendo has been experimenting with augmented reality for a while now. And I know that they wouldn’t create an augmented reality game unless they thought that it was up to scratch.

Two, I really hope that when you get the Pokemon Go Plus, that it has a motion sensor so that in order to throw a pokeball, you actually have to throw your arm. That would be super cool.

Three, you are not gonna be catching Pokemon inside. I can pretty much say that with confidence, mainly because the Pokemon Company doesn’t want to get sued for people running around in businesses and destroying property and stuff. Ain’t gonna happen.

Four, I too would love to see region specific Pokemon, but I’m not sure that that is gonna happen. I’m thinking that the Pokemon encounters are gonna be a little random, just to make sure that everyone has the option of being able to catch all 151. But hot damn would it be super awesome to have them be region and weather specific.

Five, this game is only gonna get better. I’m sure that the Pokemon Company is fully planning updates, new features, and other such ideas for the future. If there is something the game doesn’t have at release, we may get it in an update.

Six, micro transactions. So for those of you who play the mobile Pokemon Shuffle, you know about their micro transactions. From what I can tell, the system they set up is actually pretty well thought out. For one dollar, you can get one jewel, witch can give you 4000 coins. Let's say that it takes 100 coins to get a pokeball. That's 40 pokeballs for a dollar. Not half bad. Obviously, for better items it's gonna cost more, but the way Pokemon shuffle is set up, you can earn coins and jewels in the game, without spending money. I'm pretty sure that's how they are gonna do Pokemon Go.

Anyway, so those are some of my ideas, and speculations on Pokemon Go. Now I could be completely wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the Pokemon Company is gonna give us a quality game. With hopeful enthusiasm, PCUAH

Bike Riding for the Pokemon Trainer

Hello all! So, I don't know about you guys, but I'm fully planning on fixing up a bike and taking it to the streets on the hunt for Pokemon. But, I'm not the most experienced of riders, so I was doing some research and came across this. http://bicyclesafe.com This is a handy website for how to ride your bike safely on roads. Riding a bike can be dangerous, and so it's important to know how to be safe, and what to look out for when you're on the go. Pokemon Trainer Outfits

Dear Pokemon Trainers,

Since a lot of us are fully planning on running around in cosplay when Pokemon Go hits, I would like to take some time to talk about outfits. I don’t know about all of you, but I live in Denver, and the weather here is very extreme. It can go from blazing hot in the summer, to freezing cold in the winter.

So please, if you live in an area where the weather can fluctuate, create multiple outfits.

I am currently planning both a winter, and summer cosplay. The colors will be the same, and the style similar, but I’m making sure to make room for some serious layers. Thermal underwear, waterproof boots, snow pants, the whole shebang. And for my summer outfit, I’m planning some more sporty, cooler clothing to keep me from getting overheated.

Please make sure you stay safe out on the hunt for new Pokemon, and cosplay safely.

The World Just Got a Whole Lot Bigger

I don't know if anyone is feeling this, but as a person who is a bit of an introvert, ever since Pokemon Go was announced, I began to have this odd feeling. As though my city, nay, my world is touchable. As though I can go anywhere, do anything. And that, stepping foot outside my door isn't the same, it's an adventure. It's a weird sensation, and I'm wondering if anyone else is feeling the same.

Team Aspen Update.

Hello subscribers, members, and Pokemon Go enthusiasts. I am currently working on getting our tumblr page up and going, but I'm also wanting to ask you, as a community, to help out with making Team Aspen a reality. Currently, our purpose in creating Team Aspen was to spread the joy of this new Pokemon game, to those who cannot Go out into the world to catch their own. It's other purpose is to create a collection of Pokemon Trainers to band together, and create a community. Although I myself am based in Denver, I'm hoping that many of you in other locations and areas around the world join under our banner, and create a Pokemon Team that promotes love, kindness, and community. That being said, there is much to do in order to make these things come to pass. I have decided that I think our team colors should be green and black (I realized that no Pokemon team had ever done green before), but we still need to figure out a logo, create a basic idea for uniforms, and do research into how we can visit children's hospitals for our events. So I could really use all of your help in that respect. Don't hesitate to drop me a question or idea in the ask box, and use #TeamAspen in any Team related posts. With well wishes, PCUAH
