My version of Team Garmin Rice Cakes... Nothing better than real food on your ride :)
Recipe will be posted on my other blog
Steven Cozza, Tyler Farrar - Paris-Roubaix
After breaking his collar bone earlier this year he was unsure if he'd be back for his favourite races over the pave. If you've followed his blog or twitter posts you'll know he (Cozza) worked super hard to get back fit and ready to support the Team.
Tyler Farrar is progressing into a Classics rider, and although he will continue to duke it out in the sprints (in the same way Boonen does) maybe we will see him win a BIG one. Flanders isn't out of his reach, Roubaix I just don't know, but its possible.
Garmin seem to have really come together as a Team with riders both coming theough and stepping up. Exciting times ahead and as the season is only half way through it should leave plenty of races where we might see the Argyle boys on the top steps.
Location: Brugge, Belgium Date: 1 April 2011 Time: 11:34 AM Race: Tour of Flanders
Two days before the start of this week, a week most racers will likely experience maybe six or seven times at best, they go slow. They noodle. They pedal as if their cranks were made of glass. They take a walk on the bike. They ride slow enough for a local club rider to catch them up and draft-bask in the back for a few miles. Note: The recovery pace for a 6-watt-per-kilogramer is 60% or 3.6 watts per kilogram, which happens to be the threshold pace for a good cat 3. Because to go fast in two days, and again in five days, and again nine days, they first need to go slow. It’s a layering thing.
