~Remembering You~ . Looking back, what were we to take away darling? Some tissues, weed, beer, pizza or stained bed sheets; or how cluttered we were trying to fit together. When it got stormy, we both knew, we were never meant to be, we were just meant to be for as long as we could be; to learn from each other and prepare us for something that fits us both better. . Yes, I do think about you, sometimes, you don’t have to ask me to, or ask if I miss you; but to tell you the truth, I think about all the lovers I’ve had too, counting down to two. . Us, we were averages snuggled in blankets of hope, as if love could save us, as if love was enough, as if when we were hungry, love would keep us alive. . But my darling, love itself becomes fragile, frail, fleeting at times. And we did get hungry, our soul hungered; and the love we had was exhausted. Experiences defines depth of a relationship, and us, we needed to grow, not stay with bed sheet dreams; ‘grow together or outgrow each other’; I grew, you grew, somewhere between those lines, we both kinda knew things wouldn’t stay, but you wanted us to stay, and my time was up, the train of time, darling, it didn’t stop. Not that we didn’t, maybe it was love that didn’t try. . "Normal dreams of a normal girl, trying to make it in a chaotic world"; as if experiences were overrated, you wished to stay as whoever we were, afraid of change; we wished to dream, though change was inevitable, tried to never change things. .
