The taller gem watched, unimpressed, as Peridot continued to make attempts to wriggle free of the device trapping her arm. Finally the warrior released a derisive huff, taking a step forward and grabbing the flailing arm just above the seized guard.

“Pathetic. Hold still--”

Hooking one finger under the lip of the guard where it wrapped around Peridot’s arm, a twist of Jasper’s wrist was all it took for the device to nearly come apart at the seams with the screech of tearing metal. The resulting clatter as it fell to the floor was quickly broken when she lifted one boot to halt its rolling progress across the floor, somehow without stomping on it or damaging it further (although there likely wasn’t much left intact to destroy, short of flattening the entire thing). That done, she turned, already starting to head back to the bridge.

       ➤     a hand was clasped over the mouth of her partner as she narrowly avoided being hit with a flailing metal limb. this was a dire scenario, && she wasn’t about to have their location aboard the ship being compromised merely because of peridot throwing a fit over the way in which she was held. her free arm was quick to maneuver its way under the bend of peridot’s legs to make for a more comfortable position, perhaps alleviating the source of some of the technician’s complaints. && then, she was backing her way into a lockable cell. now that quiet had fallen over the ship, the sounds of several feet boarding could be heard a ways away from their current point. rogue gems— that had apparently seen their warship as a suitable target. while jasper wasn’t one to deal with sudden problems cautiously, she needed a more appropriate read of who exactly these rebellious gems were. there were many ragtag groups of ne’er-do-well traitors to homeworld. all were of various strengths && numbers, so she needed to survey the situation carefully. ❛ when you’re piloting you apparently can’t see what’s going on around you, ❜ she growled, keeping her voice somewhere near a whisper. ❛ we have a pack of deserters aboard our warship && you didn’t even have a  C L U E. ❜
