I hold very little space for adults who constantly come at minors for things they’ve done themselves. And it may not have been you specifically (cause it sure wasn’t me) but the evidence is out there that the internet is a circle and there’s nothing new under the sun.
“Do baby gays understand qu**r history?” Of course they don’t they’re 15, but I bet you didn’t either when you first made your tumblr account and argued with strangers on where you think they fall in the MOGAI spectrum. But now there are resources and you as the adult can respectfully point them in the right direction instead of assuming they know this stuff and have read/watch some random 5 year old document on the evolution of queer history.
“Gen Z is so weird with the whole submissive and breedable thing” yes they are, as someone apart of the older Gen Z group I think all of it is obnoxious, but again it’s not new. Older people will complain about ‘chronically online teens’ but last time I checked y’all were real life glomping people at cons and hitting theme with yaoi paddles. Teens are weird, especially in fandom spaces but they’ll constantly be weird. They read and contribute to bad sex fanfics cause what else is there to do online.
It’s especially annoying on TikTok watching people my age (20 somethings) and Millennials who’ve clear owned a tumblr in it’s height talk down on teenagers. Cause there’s a clear way to talk to and give advice to young people without talking down to them. Time isn’t real, the internet is a circle and teenagers will be teenagers. All this will happen over again with some 25+ Gen Z adult calling a 14 year Gen Alpha dumb cause they didn’t full grasp some important event that took place when they were 2. Same story different cast, but boy do I wish we as a collective people online moved on.
Or at the very least quit interacting with teenagers online if you find them that annoying
