I just found your blog and read the lore post with their backstories so I'm curious, what's Terrence, Temperence, and Vincent's relationship with Mike and Willa Gumdrop? Since Mike took them in and rehabilitated them, do they sorta see him as a trusted guardian or a father figure? If they do then do they see Willa as a little sister?

(Sorry if you've already answered this before, I'm new here.)

I just want to say, I never thought I would get an ask related to the complicated backstory I made for these characters so thank you for indulging me ::3.

Okay so the thing with Mike is that he has always been one to do ANYTHING in order to have power of any kind. So he only saw the trio as a means to an end and made that clear behind closed doors. Knowing that and experiencing his “treatment” the trio do not like Mike and hardly respect him. 

As for Willa the trio took notice of Mike’s neglectful parenting and bonded with Willa over their pretty neglected childhoods. The trio does see Willa as a little sister of sorts; however Willa personally prefers the label of cousin instead.

you can find a bazillion examples of hypocritical Christian doctrine wherever you look (bc the religion is more a tool of imperialistic cultural domination than anything else and doctrine is only important insofar as it promotes cultural conformity throughout the empire), but the anti-alcohol genre of Christian is particularly headscratching to me.

First of all, weird hill to die on. Second, there is no way in fuck you are going to get people to stop drinking fermented shit, that's one of those universal human cultural constants. it's up there with fried dough, baskets, and dildos. Third, people drink SO MUCH WINE IN THE BIBLE. DID YOU EVEN READ THE BOOK YOU'RE THUMPING.

The answer is that they're tactfully ignoring the bits that aren't relevant to their immediate argument, but like... do you have any idea how often wine comes up in the Bible? Because it's a lot. Wine and winemaking was very, very important to that part of the world. People drank it at casual dinners with their friends. They served it to welcome guests and to celebrate weddings. Wine will just kinda crop up as poetic shorthand for material prosperity.

It has immense symbolic significance in the Last Supper (and therefore in fucking communion, the ritual where we solemnly remember Jesus's sacrifice for us) but if that's not good enough for you, Jesus also performed a whole other miracle where he turned water into wine so his friend's wedding reception wouldn't prematurely run out. Yep, that crisis warranted a miracle.

But no, temperance Christians exist and in big enough numbers to get a whole entire US amendment passed about it at one point. That's not easy to do, you need like two-thirds support in both the House and the Senate or something. But hey, welcome to American white people. We're the ancestors of Europe's most annoying Christian extremists.

A young man approaches the dormitory door and knocks, giggling. He's dressed in a long, wavy blonde wig, long purple gloves, lavender evening gown, and a plush pig nose. When the door opens, he calls out, "Hi-ho! Er, I mean, trick-or-treat! C'est moi, the one and only Mi— whoa! Cool costume!"

(This is gonna be VERY CAMP) Decked out in a 2000s metalic emo outfit with a black bat backpack and a black and purple beanie on their head Luxolitee opens the door to find Hiro before blinking in slight confusion. "Ah, you must be this Hiro person I have been hearing Terrence and Willa talk about all the time, it's nice to meet you, I'm Luxolite the "forgotten" member of this dorm." From the corner of the door Terrence peaks his head out. "Hiro, I'm glad you can make it on such short notice, Temperence and Vincent had this idea for trick or treat where instead of tricking people we are just gonna combine both trick and treat."

"I CALL DIBS!" As Temperence announces his eagerness to go first, he takes out his magic pen and it transforms into a giant bazooka, pulling the trigger a giant hoard of gummy worms shoots out and hit Hiro in full force.

"Don't worry, I made them green apple flavored." Temperence gives a wink as Willa rushes out to find Hiro knocked out from the impact of the gummy worm blast. "GREAT SEVENS TEMP YOU COULD OF KILLED HIM!" "You should be thanking me, now you can personally nurse him back to health ^w^." This was gonna be a LONG night
