From the reformer to the chair to the freeFORM Board. In Pilates this is called a Tendon Stretch and it loads the shoulders and arms but also the hip flexors and abs. In the process it stretches the posterior chain and requires some degree of mobility of the hamstrings. In the reformer and chair versions, some degree on support or assistance is provided by the springs but with the freeFORM Board, it’s all on you. You may want to consider some yoga blocks or push up bars or similar to support the upper body with the freeFORM version.
