Outside of her co-creation of the fairytale anthology with Ellen Datlow, Terri Windling also created "The Fairy Tale Series" gathering novels retelling fairytales, written by various fantasy authors of the time (who also often participated in the aforementioned anthology series).

I started this book of short stories at the end of 2023 and finally, I am ALMOST done with it. Three more stories to go!!

Dear Ms Windling and Mr Barker, I know I have no right to ask this seeing as how I've never published a book, but, if either of you felt like finishing your duology/series before either of you sadly pass on, it would be very very very appreciated.

Mostly you Clive, you're in your 70s and were a chain smoker pleeeease finish Abarat I started reading it in middle school and I'm in my 30s now. Terri Windling, being mid-60s, still has time, but also, the first book came out when I was 4, I think that's been a sufficient wait. Bruce Coville strung me along as well with those unicorn chronicles but at least he did finish.

Per Robin McKinley, well I can understand that she probably doesn't have the heart to write anymore and have long since reconciled there will be no sequel to Pegasus, so that's ok I guess

Currently reading: White as Snow by Tanith Lee

I haven't started the actual story yet, but I'm absolutely loving Terri Windling's introduction--all her introductions for her fairytale series (novels and anthologies) are excellent. Her knowledge of fairytales is unparalleled and the background of Snow White and the Grimm's fairy tales is so interesting!
