Terry x Ponytail time (and Kreese I GUESSSSSSSS🙄🙄🙄) (insert that one :3 tiktok emoji) Also I was just writing this out a minute ago and lost all my fucking progress and so I'm really pissed off cuz I had so much. But I'll give you all of my news first. I really miss uou, I have a horrible migraine all day, uh and my mom got more honeyohs.
-Ponytail was in his early-mid twenties, he was closer to Kreese and saw Terry as childish and a wimp so he never really liked him at first until he began to grow on him since he didn't have any other friends other than Kreese and Ponytail.
-Terry had one of those little boy crushes on Ponytail, even though it was more of an obsession. Whether it be over analyzing his reactions, how he spoke to Terry, or his he absentmindedly brushed knees with Terry or wrapped an arm around his shoulders. Kreese and Ponytail were very aware of this but they never called him out on it because they saw it as funny and cute.
-Terry had a very military oriented family, that's why they didn't buy his way out of the draft, his family practically ushered him into Vietnam.
-Everyone, even Kreese and Ponytail, makes fun of Terry for being from a rich family, they make fun of him for never having to take up a job during school to keep the family afloat.
-Ponytail got Kreese and Terry really into underage drinking, since they were 18 and 16. No one really saw a problem with this, it was all normal to them. Ponytail specifically liked to get Terry drunk to make fun of him since because if his crush on Ponytail he would always end up embarrassing himself whether it be intensely staring, trying to kiss him, or rubbing up on him like a cat. This also ended up leading to Terry's later drug addiction.
-Ponytail and Kreese always stand up for Terry when someone makes fun of his weight, despite them calling him twig, it was a 'hey only I can make fun of him for that!'.
-Terry was right under the healthy weight for his height, being 6,5 (he stopped growing at 16) and 148lbs. It wasn't any thing like Anorexia or Bulimia, he wanted to be big and strong he just couldn't bring himself to eat enough, he'd get full to fast. (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder-ARFID)
-Ponytail and Terry are so sick of hearing Kreese talk about Betsy, at first it was like Danny Zuko and his friends in summer nights, but eventually it just got more to them having a conversation and Kreese staring at his photo of Betsy while kicking his feet and smiling.
-Terry had a pet dog at home, it really was got him through the war (other than Ponytail) the thought of him getting to go home to his dog, the true devastating part was when he got home his parents gave his dog to his little cousin which they refused to give back to him. (No I'm not projecting the fact that my mom keeps talking about pepper passing away soon but also basing it on Tex??? Why would you say that?)
-Sometimes during the night other soldier would stay outside of Ponytail and Terrys tent to scare Terry, so he would crawl into ponytails bed, despite ponytail ignoring him while he was in the bed it always made Terry feel safer to koala himself around Ponytail.
-Before they left for their mission, Terry and Ponytail were alone very late into the night after Kreese left to lights out, Ponytail had a bad feeling about the mission so he finally told Terry he loved him too, they stayed up late into the night in Ponytails bed, talking about the mission. Right as Terry began to doze off Ponytail blurted out that he loved him too, after moment of silence they had their first, last, and only night of kisses deep into the darkness of the night.
-Terry wasn't religious, but he prayed so much on the mission for nothing to happen to Ponytail. Ponytail and him had shared so many smiles and winks before the mission got serious, all that time Terry was praying for him to be safe. So when Ponytail was shot, his heart was truly broken, it was worse then when father would beat him, worse then when other soldiers would grope him, tease him, and call him a girl. He began to hate god that day, hate all religious people and anything to do with God, he wanted to put the same cold steel of the gun pressed against ponytails head straight onto gods forehead.
-When he had to go through Ponytails belongings he was heart broken, he was alone in the tent that used to be filled with ponytail and his laughter. He had found a letter, it was almost crumpled, ink bleeding in spots where water had to of dripped. Terry couldn't bring himself to read it until he got home and was in bed one night months later, thinking about Ponytail and holding all of Ponytails belongings which he took. The letter was directed to him, only him, not him and Kreese, 𝘩𝘪𝘮. It was about ponytail having a horrible feeling about the mission, it spoke of how he loved him, how he wanted him so bad. Terry hardly could ever bring hinself to read the rest of it.
-He put all of his sadness into karate with Kreese, ever kiss him and Ponytail could've shared was now a new kick, a new punch, a new sweep, or a new block. He never told Kreese about how much he loves Ponytail never told him about the kisses. Kreese still mocks him in the drunken nights about loving Ponytail so much, but Terry can never stop himself from bursting into tears on the spot when Ponytails mentioned. Neither him or Kreese remember anything by morning, not why their heads hurt, why they're naked together in bed, why Terry's eyes are so red, why they're so achy.
-Terry pulls his hair back into the ponytail after a few months without Ponytail, trying to replicate his voice, or his attitude, or his kiss, only when he's by himself. Trying to see him in the mirror rather than in his dreams, or in his nightmares with brain matter and blood splattered all over. He sobs when he hallucinates Ponytail touching him under the influence on cocaine. He only can ever think about the fact Ponytails body in decomposing on the Vietnam jungle floor, no proper burial, the love of his life now covered in maggots, shriveled, bloodless, possibly exploded across the floor from mines or bombs.
I'm so sigma I love you wife I miss you wife also I watched I really scary tiktok about think like Scarecrow ritual thing and you're not supposed to look in your backyard after doing the ritual but like now ik fucking horrified and I can't look out my window and I didnt even do the ritual bit I like cried. Also Terry's my favorite character if you couldn't tell.
