Today's theory for how Missy will come back is that in The Doctor Falls, she's in a Teselecta robot of herself.

Suppose the Doctor keeps one on the Tardis in case they need to fake their death again.

Before she walks off with the Master, she takes the Doctor's hand and then releases it, like she wanted him to know she isn't really leaving him.

She looks him right in the eye, like the Doctor did to show River he was wearing one in The Wedding Of River Song.

It would be cute if they faked their death in the same way.

River song

I think that River Song could still be alive because in Forest Of The Dead, when she died, it was technically after all her adventures with The Doctor in the future, including when she killed him on a fixed point in time but then it is later revealed that he used the Teselecta robot to cheat death so I think that River did the same thing.

May I just say how awkward the Wedding of River Song must have been? Not from the outside of course, no, from the inside. The Doctor was really inside the Teselecta. So just imagine for a second all those people sitting there awkwardly and controlling the body to marry them. I imagine it being really awkward and weird. Not for the Doctor, he probably wouldn't notice too much, but all those other people... I picture them sharing uncomfortable glances as they control it and trying to stay all professional when the Doctor is talking. If it's actually him talking. Hopefully it was.
