Galactic Clouds - Test Piece ~ I got my #scrawlrbox today and was very excited to try them out. I really didn’t what alcohol ink is and how to use it. I only saw them in the art store and I wouldn’t buy by myself. It was a very fun experience and I think the test piece looks great. I can’t wait to try out more. Personal Note: Please take warning seriously. I didn’t ventilated my area and needed to take a break.😅 @scrawlrbox #scrawlrchallenge #scrawlrbox #artsubscriptionbox #alcoholink #testpiece #nebula #clouds #alcoholinkart #abstractart #relaxing #cloudy #galacticcloud Do you like this kind of art, then check out my #redbubble store :D Link is here or in my bio: TraveliArt.redbubble.com https://www.instagram.com/p/CR4HByzjpvM/?utm_medium=tumblr
back on the metalworking bench. The last 2 years I had to focus on flute making and painting. Now I try to get into jewelry making again. This is a test piece. I want to make more iron jewelry. AGP 403 - Test piece and development
This piece was a warm up sketch that I turned into a whole drawing, I was drawing observed objects and melding with other objects. I got lost drawing this and ended up doing loads of fillers, which doesn’t look good or have any purpose. I thought I’d include this drawing in my development as a reference of what not to do. I had no strong idea when starting this and it can be seen visually such as no clear communication or narrative. The theme is all over the place and don’t fit together very well. The colours in the first one is very messy and doesn’t look pleasant. I tried experimenting with the colours on the 2nd one with the gradient map and it still is hard to see and make any sense of it. However from this I did learn how to improve my highlights and how to draw them in an interesting way. The use of highlights adds shine and interesting lighting to make the drawing pop out better.
From this I will take notes of not rushing or starting a drawing with no motivation or clear idea as it ended up being a waste of time which I could have spent doing other things. This drawing will no be included in the final outcome. I have been lost for what to do for more drawings and in my tutorial I was recommended to draw existing stories and capture them in a dream like state. For example I have chosen a scene from the movie Barry Lyndon which I will illustrate and turn to a psychedelic dream like imagery.
I use this mug probably most than any other. This was the first mug I made out of #standardclay ‘s #majolica body to test its durability. I am going on 3 years I think. And I am a klutz. As I drink my evening tea I still enjoy it’s quite simplicity and balance. . . . . . . . . . #redclaylove #mugshotmonday #testpiece #reserchanddevelopment #simplicity #notsosimple #amacoglazes #handmadeceramics #handmadepottery #mug #mugshot #tommacgarrett #tommacgarrettceramics https://www.instagram.com/p/BqYyQ79g1iz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1cc0ecl7ue17m
