Dusted off my original Tevinter Magister version of Savos. Haven't drawn anything Dragon Age related in forever; with all the DA hype lately I got into mood to do so

I just did some serious sleuthing and here's what I found: so in both DA2 and DAI, a magister leaves the Imperium, goes to a tavern in another country, and then has it cleared out for the express purpose of confronting or talking to someone they haven't seen in years. First Danarius, and then Dorian's father. Is that just a Tevinter thing, or what? Also, how much do they pay to clear that tavern out? And how did Danarius get away with that without the Templars being called on his ass? Did he get a note from Meredith or the Viscount? Or is he just that sneaky? And why would Fereldans forgo a day or evening of cheap beer for some stuffy Tevinter magister? Ooh! Did the magister a agree to buy the next three rounds for everyone on the condition they leave while the magister conducts his business?

I borrowed @tamisrandom OC, Savos, to practice doodling a different character/different face. Savos is a Magister from Tevinter and a skilled blood mage.

Hey, so, I’ve been thinking about the possibility of a Poly Love Interest for Dragon Age 4 and I’ve been writing/sketching ideas for what that might look like and I narrowed it down to a Tevinter Female Templar and her Male Magister Paramour and a bunch of other ideas.

But, any Poly relationship is going to have some Same-Sex action going on so I tweeted Patrick Weekes about how Tevinter might react to such a relationship even though the possibility of children was still available.

@InkDagger Poorly, as a general rule. They’re all about bloodline purity and are more conservative overall, especially in noble families.

@InkDagger No idea whether you’d be acceptable, but if it lets you be happy, then maybe acceptability can go gather some elfroot.

So, here’s some more insight into Tevinter society.

God I hope the possibility of a Mage-Templar Poly Relationship in the next game is interesting enough for the writers! I also have this image in my head of the Female!Tevinter!Templar being voiced by Gina Torres. THAT would be super cool.

BTW, “Go Gather Some Elfroot” is my new “Fuck Off” phrase.
