Giant leaf-footed bug :D

I saw a group of like 3 wasps building a nest on the side of my house and by the time i could get pictures the nest (it had grown for at least 2 or 3 weeks) had completely disappeared, and only 1 of them was left and it disappeared in a literal blink of an eye so i never got a pic

It had a bunch of small bands around it in several bright colors with dark wings and a dark body so like, excuse my piss poor attempt at drawing a wasp but can ANYONE help me id this

Staying home all the time during COVID. I’ve spending beaucoup time in the back yard floating around in the pool and sitting under the umbrella just to spend some time outdoors.. 

On still days, flies can be a real nuisance and being the easily amused soul that I am, one of my past times has been sending flies to meet their maker with a fly swatter.

This thing takes that past time to a whole new level!
