Birthday Sexts

Idk what to say about this other than it's 100% self-indulgent and inspired by a text submitted to Texts From Last Night. I spent a shit ton of time trying to format this in Ellipsis, not realizing that the indenting would all be on the same side once I pasted it to tumblr sooo lol to try to make it easy to read...Buck's texts are in italics and Tommy's are in bold. Chimney's texts are also in italics but it should be obvious--i hope--as it's included in the actual narrative part.

Putting it all under the cut due to formatting

Tommy hits snooze on his 9 A.M. alarm and in the process accidentally opens a text, sent at 1:30 A.M., from an unknown number:

This is a mass text: my birthday is tomorrow, and I want a full day of birthday sex. Send me your availabilities. Time slots begin at noon

Noon, huh? Guess you're not an early riser 😏

hahaha you're hilarious. I'm already up, for your information not like that well…kind of like that so…who is this?

You texted me…so, you first

Buck I saved your number from the 118 group chat, but there's no name just ??

The 118? Tommy had forgotten all about that chat after he transferred to Harbor, though he had always had the notifications muted anyway. Does he know a Buck? He's pretty sure he would remember knowing someone with a name like Buck. He texts Howie—ignoring the fact that the last message from either one of them was from over a year ago. Do I know a Buck? Howie answers back almost immediately—Evan Buckley?—and gracefully doesn't give Tommy shit for the out-of-the-blue text without any sort of greeting.

Tommy sends back a maybe? and opens up Instagram to search the name. He finds Buck's—Evan's?—profile, confident it's the right one when he sees they have several followers in common. He definitely does not know Buck, but he wants to.

He clocks the rainbow flag emoji in the profile right away, but whatever butterflies he felt at the sight of it are instantly crushed when he reads the accompanying words: proud ally. He lets it sink in and then he laughs so loud he startles his cat, Duchess, who had been sleeping peacefully at his feet. She gives him a bitchy look and hops off the bed.

He scrolls through the posts and yeah—there's no way he's going back to sleep now. He thought he had mastered the art of the thirst trap, but this kid puts him to shame. He saves the previously unknown number under Buck/Evan.

Tommy and I'm available all day by the way

lol wait…are you a dude?

Tommy snorts.

yes

uh, so am I

Tommy scrolls through a few more photos and thinks yes, yes you are…

lucky for me

oh!

Buck doesn't say anything else…no typing bubbles appear no matter how much Tommy stares at the empty space. His snooze alarm goes off and he decides that's that—he needs to feed Duchess anyway before she starts plotting her revenge.

His phone vibrates before he can get out of bed. It's Howie: now Buck is asking about you??

well, you only turn 26 once right?

Tommy wonders if Buck did a bit of internet stalking of his own. He grins.

I think that's how time generally works, yes

okay wise guy since you know so much about time...do you also think you could be at my place at noon?

I'm penciling you in right now

You should just schedule me in for the rest of the day

The next message is a selfie—taken from the neck down. Buck's holding his shirt up, showing off his abs. And his boxers aren't hiding much at all.

Sick at home ft. Yamaguchi Tadashi (fluff)

“So hot..” Basking in the last few seconds of cool air before you shut the door of your house, you desperately fanned your face with a free hand. If it was so hot in the early morning, then you could only imagine how much hotter it’d become later on in the day.

You were out to grab a few things for your parents, and a little something for yourself while you were at it. Once you finished running their errands, you sat down in a café, sipping on a refreshing iced tea. Though, you felt a little bored by yourself, so you decided to text your friend to meet up with you.

Turning off your phone and setting it down on the table, you took another sip of your tea. You’d probably end up visiting Yamaguchi before you went home. You knew if you were sick, you’d probably want someone beside you.

Strolling around the store before you left, a few things caught your eye. There was a stall with handmade keychains that you thought were pretty cute. Picking up some stuff, you left on your way to visit him, buying a few things from the convenience store near his house.

Knocking on the door to his house, you heard a faint voice call out to you.

“Coming..”

Shortly after, the doorknob twisted, revealing a flushed Yamaguchi in a t-shirt and trackpants.

“You look terrible.”

“I know..”

You walked with him back to his room, noticing the strewn tissues all over the floor near the bin. Despite that, the room itself was tidy. Picking up the tissues one by one, you dropped them in the bin and brought it closer to his bed.

“Thanks.” He said as he crawled under his covers.

“It’s really dark in here. Don’t you want some sun?” You commented.

“I wouldn’t mind.. But I couldn’t open the curtains.” He said before coughing into a tissue. “The most activity I’ve done today was opening the door for you.”

You chuckled as you swept the curtains to the side and opened the window, letting in a flow of the cool afternoon air.

“It was so hot today” You said, taking a seat on the foot of his bed. “The air has definitely cooled down.” Reaching for the bag of snacks, you pulled out some throat lozenges, a sports drink, and some cooling patches. “I got you some stuff!”

“Thank you so much..” He sniffed, taking the items from you. He fiddled with the packaging of the lollies, popping one into his mouth. “I think feel a little better now.”

“That’s probably because of the wind – it was really stuffy when I first walked in.” You tore open the cool patches, unwrapping one. Standing up, you took a few steps and leaned in front of him. “Here. This’ll probably help more than the towel that you keep having to replace.” You said, taking the moist towel off his head. It felt warm, so you figured it had been there for a while.

“You haven’t been wringing this out!” You scolded, plopping the towel back into the bowl.

“Sorry.. I’m too fatigued..” He chuckled.

Grabbing a tissue, you wiped his forehead so the patch would stick, and sliding his fringe out of the way, you placed it on his head, which was very warm.

“Hey, you’ll get sick if you’re not careful.” He said before breaking into a coughing fit.

You unscrewed the lid of the drink and handed it to him with a smile.

“Will you take care of me if I do?”

“Of course.” He replied after taking a sip.
