when in a place of infinite Darkness, do not drift apart
It is a Monday, One Month After the Armageddon that Did Not Happen. Crowley and Aziraphale are trying to make sense of The Rest of their Lives, but... something in the Universe shifts again. Perhaps, It wants to help them. Perhaps, It just wants to watch them drift apart.
A text-based Good Omens fan game/interactive story. One ending and a couple of mysteries to solve along the way.
Play the classic text-based adventure game Zork: The Great Underground Empire - Part I for free on Archive.org. this was one of the first fiction adventures games ever. Originally developed by MIT students in 1977-1979, it was then released commercially in 1980.

AI Adventure #1: Folly

____________________________
I found a game called AI Dungeon. Users in the #Adventure channel on the Patreon discord have been deciding what our Heroine does, and an unpredictable AI decides the results classic text-based-adventure style. Even I don’t know what will happen next!
After 8 and a half months, I've decided to take You Are In A Room up again.
I've copied all previous parts of the story to AO3, so I don't have to work around the many issues with Tumblr poll posts in order to provide continuity. You can read the whole story, starting here.
And now, the story continues...
You were in a room. It was dark in there.
You left the room and the House it was in, crossed a road and entered a Wood, crossed a stream and climbed a hill, then took a Staff from a Ramshackle Hutt.
You swung the Staff around like some kind of warrior and accidentally triggered some sort of magic reaction from the fire pit in front of the Hut.
The pit lit up with strange symbols that resolved themselves into the words:
WELCOME UNIT TWO. PLEASE COME TO THE OBSERVATORY.
A glowing pool now sits where once there was a fire pit.
Cautiously, you extend you hand into the pool. Your skin tingles when it touches the water-like surface, but it doesn't feel wet.
On the other side, of the glowing membrane through which you reach, you feel only air. It's maybe a little warmer than the cool spring sunshine in which you stand, but not uncomfortably so.
What will you do?
Back away from the weird pool. Drop to Staff. Flee mindlessly
Attempt to drink from the weird pool
Jump bodily into the pool, shouting 'Geronimo!'
Climb half-way into the Carpet Bag, for protection, and shuffle into pool
Poke Ratty Cloak with Staff
Take your Staff and wander back down the hill, whistling a jaunty tune
REBLOG TO MAXIMISE CHAOS!
I'll add this as a new chapter on AO3 after it posts and link back in a reblog. This means you'll now be able to comment 😯 Comments will not effect the poll, but could be fun!
Yesterday, I got a text from a friend—or rather, from their tween.
All it said was "Roll initiative!"
So, like any good TTRPG player, I did.
What followed was a half hour of sporadic back-and-forth in a text-based adventure entirely of the tween's making. A dragon sat on me. I was rescued by a mysterious stranger. We agreed that I probably shouldn't be adventuring alone. All I had to do was buy in. All I had to do was ask questions. All I had to do was listen.
Kids are reaching out! It's our job, as adults in their lives, to reach back and grab hold of what they're offering. To engage with them at the level they're interested in. To enjoy the things they enjoy, if for no other reason than they enjoy those things!
