SFW Bulkjack Headcanons (TFP)

For my Bulkjack enjoyers

1. During the early war on Cybertron, the two had obvious attraction to one another. They're wreckers, close friends, and they had each other's backs. Neither acted on it... Not really. They stole kisses, spent nights together and all that, but never once could they bring themselves to say "I love you". There was too much risk involved in it, and they could lose one another, especially where Autobot forces were being mowed down everyday.

2. Wheeljack is the least subtle about his affections. His sarcastic and arrogant nature just seems to melt away when he's around Bulkhead for too long. He tries to hide it, but even Ratchet can see the tension if he looks a little too long.

3. Bulkhead assumed Jackie lost feelings after their years apart. He wasn't sure if he was the only one who still felt the draw between them. The desire to be closer- to be his, so to speak. So when Wheeljack came back to Earth? It smacked him across the face. Every bit of affection he had came flooding back- like it never left but was instead dormant.

4. Wheeljack never lost his feelings for Bulkhead, he was just so used to repressing his longing that it took him time to realize that he actually had Bulkhead back. Most of the Wreckers were gone, but he still had the one most important to him.

5. The two often sleep in a pile. They always had. This isn't even really BulkJack, it's just something they do. Even early war, Wreckers would pile together to sleep. A safety in numbers mindset. (On Earth, the Magnus is sometimes invited. Sometimes. If he and Wheeljack can get along for more than three minutes.)

6. Bulkhead was the first to confess his feelings, and frankly, he has the worst timing ever (trust). Yes, he confessed while their lives were in danger because he couldn't think of anything he could do, he just needed to let Wheeljack know how much he loves him. (May or may not be referring to the episode where Bulk had that explosive strapped to his chest)

7. After processing their affections, it wasn't long before everything came flooding out. Years of longing, of wanting, of needing that companionship all of a sudden felt... Well, silly. Why had they waited so long to begin?

Oh, and it absolutely became the team's problem because now the two didn't want to be apart for too long.

8. They definitely adopted Miko. So what? She can have human parents and awesome alien robot dads. And they're very proud of her, their little honorary Wrecker.

9. Bulkhead is a cuddler. He's a gentle giant, and it makes sense his love language is physical affection... Wheeljack's is- hear me out- gift giving. But specifically the weapons he makes for Bulkhead. As long as they don't backfire in his face.

10. Their song to me is Worst Way by Riley Green (viewed specifically in Wheeljack's point of view)

11. Wheeljack playfully makes fun of Bulkhead's attempts to be romantic. Bulkhead knows this and always laughs about it, even if it's while he's pulling out a chair for a makeshift dinner date.

12. Just for funsies here, Bulkhead would be the one to carry their sparkling if they ever decided to settle down. He's got the perfect frame for it.

13. In the early relationship, Miko had been their wingman, giving them tips on gestures they could do. She told Bulkhead about all these romantic dates he could invite Jackie on. And she just fed Wheeljack awesome invention ideas so he could impress Bulkhead.

14. Most of their dates? Yeah, that's when they're fighting back-to-back, or out destroying some stuff together. Their peaceful dates are usually ones Bulkhead planned out like weeks in advance. Laying under stars and reminiscing is something they both enjoy.
