The funniest thing about Icemav is that they are the fidgetiest boys. You expect it from Mav, but it's less expected from Ice, even though arguably Ice might be worse than Mav -- he certainly steals more stuff to fidget with than Maverick does.
Mav is always moving. Always darting around. He talks with his whole body. Shuffling his feet. Bobbing his knees. Openly assessing every room he's in (and he tends to do this when he's in a situation he wants out of -- such as at the very beginning when they're yelling at him about taking Penny up in a jet -- because it means avoiding eye contact).
Ice is a primetime fidgeter. He's looping pens around his fingers, flipping quarters up and down his knuckles, swirling his iced vodka, screwing around with his watch. He may not be jumpy like Mav is, but he sure as hell isn't still.
Worse is that the more time they spend with each other the more they start to pick up where the other left off. Mav starts making origami out of Ice’s gum wrappers, and Ice now has a tendency to “walk-and-talk” when before he didn’t have the urge to do that — he’s just gotten used to doing it with Mav.
Seeing them sit together at a booth? The two of them can't stop. Think Goose and Slider would accuse them of being human oscillators. Goose would probably nudge Mav in the shin to get him to stop bobbing his leg, and Ron would grab Ice by the shoulders and shake him.
When they finally get together? Well. They match each other's energy and then compete over it. Ice touching one place, Mav grabbing another, just constant. At the same time, though, they also would try to settle the other. They know what's just fidgeting and what's a stress tell, even though they wouldn't have the words for that yet. Mav's hand coming up over Ice's if he's whipping a pen around his hand real fast, stilling him, maybe even replacing the pen with his hand if they're in a safe place to do so. During an argument when Mav starts trying to check out because he doesn't want to get yelled at and looking anywhere but at Ice, Ice can say, "Mitchell. Look at me," because he wants to make clear he's not about to start screaming but they do need to get through this.
Carole’s the only one who thinks to ask them directly about it when they all — Slider, Goose, Little Goose, Ice, Mav, and Carole — are all out to brunch together on one of their few mornings free.
“Are all pilots this twitchy?” Carole teases them. “Is it a requirement?”
Both Ice and Mav say at the exact same time, in damn near perfect sync: “The best ones are.” Carole and Goose burst out laughing. Slider points at them. “You two. Have been spending WAY too much time together.”
They both just shrug. Truth is, they don’t even know the half of it (though Ice imagines they’re figuring it out). As it stands, Ice hands Mav another gum wrapper, and Mav takes the pen for the check and gives it to Ice to twirl, and they remain content to fidget until they get the receipt back and can all head home.

Icemav hc #8
Give me Iceman Kazansky being the most cold, hard hearted mother fucker ever, but he treats Mav like the most beautiful precious thing on earth.
Give me Admiral Kazansky reaming insubordinate lieutenants and commanders and other admirals out alike, for their poor behaviour or endangerment of others, then drop everything as soon as Mav calls. "No, shut up Rottingdean, the love of my life is on the phone and asking what I want for dinner. Shut to fuck and do not interrupt him."
Give me Tom bringing Mav home flowers every week, replacing the old ones and always making sure there's some greenery and life in the house when Mav comes in. Mav was never really into flowers, he'd gotten them for some past girlfriends, but never imagined getting any himself. He nearly broke down the first time Ice came home with a bunch of sunflowers for him "cause they reminded me of you" just to make Mav smile and know he was thinking of him. Tom is always thinking of him.
Give me Tom always, always opening the door for Mav. To a building, to their home, their car door. Tom gets there first, and pulls the door open and waits for Mav to go through. Mav loves this and how Ice treats him so well, like a king. Everytime Ice holds the door for Mav, even if he's coming out and Mavs going in, or its just their bedroom or or a meeting with the brass, Mav reaches up on his tip toes as he's going by and kisses Ice sweetly. They go for a date and Toms opening his car door before Mav can even get his seat belt off and is crossing around the front to open Mavs door for him and take his hand to help him out. He opens the restaurant door and pulls Mavs chair out for him. He always remembers Mavs favourite drinks and orders them, and he pours Mavs water first.
Give me Iceman Kazansky whirling into a hospital room on base, startling nurses and doctors and lieutenants into snapping into salutes at his commanding presence. Only Maverick, sitting on the bed, relaxes back into the cushions, as if he hadn't been trying to duck the doctors and escape medical for the past 30 minutes, and was a model patient. Iceman doesn't even acknowledge their salutes and beeline straight for Mitchell. The doctor tenses in worry for his patient, after all this is hardly the time for the brass to get involved and start dressing down the injured man and call it an 'investigation'. He starts to move forward to at least get in between the admiral amd his patient, but freezes when he sees them. The captain is smiling, relaxed and open in a way no one in the room has seen, and the Admiral, though clearly worried is smiling back. They reach for each other and collide in an embrace. Kazansky ends up sitting on the edge of the bed, sinking down to rest beside the captian. And in turn, Mitchell is melting into the others chest, burying his face in his shoulder and closing his eyes. Iceman runs a hand through Mitchell ls hair, ever so gently and they speak in low hushed tones. The admiral smoothes a hand down Mitchell's face and cups his cheek in his hand. The intimacy of the moment is not lost on the doctor and he hastens to find a place to look except for the couple. After a minute a throat is cleared and they turn to see the Admiral, now standing and entirely composed and back his touted icey demeanour. Maverick is fast asleep on the bed, eyes shut and breathing deeply. The only indicator of anything between the two men, or what the team just witnessed with their own eyes and still aren't believing, is the linked hands resting on the bed, the admirals thumb gently caressing Mavericks every so often in a soothing motion.
Give me Iceman Kazansky looking at his partner like he's the centre of his entire universe, stars in his eyes, always following Mavs movements and watching him. Tom looks at Pete like he's the luckiest man on earth that he has Petes love, like he can't believe Mavs real and is really his, his love.
Give me Iceman Kazansky being an absolute gentleman, and treating Mav like he's the most precious and gorgeous thing Ice coud ever imagine holding.

Something about being wild and reckless as thunder over the land racing with the eagle, soaring with the wind. Flying? There were times I believed I could.
Super bad quality but look at THIS!
Slider with (probably) nothing but a flight suit 😏
I thought that, among the clowns, Furuta is the most extra, but then I remembered this
